Yeah, then maybe give it a 15-20% chance to success or so, and didn't think of sand ghost so maybe... poison?

Can't wait to play this town! All the creatures look epic
Some kind of multi hex attack also comes to mind but maybe that's cause I'm used to Rakashas from the other games. Maybe an agility skill that lets them dodge the first attack used against them? And unlimited retaliations?
As for the dancer maybe a morale or luck boost to allies within a certain range?

Agility function would also fit to dancer, e.g. the one from Rakshasa in Heroes 5: if you don't act, your initiative (or in H3 speed) increases.
I don't know what is doable in VCMI, but it would be cool to have entirely new abilities like the cast quicksand you mentioned, because every town of the normal game has unique abilities, especially for higher level units.
But nonetheless, for Rakshasa, my first thought also was multitarget-attack 8) The three-target attack of Cerberus might be an alternative to all-around attack, which is already used by two units, Hydra and Psychic elemental. Rakshasa still needs another new unique ability though. What about casting Adv./Exp. Frenzy on himself and attacking in the same turn? Guess that would fit thematically and synergize nicely with three-target attack.
Alternatively Rakshasa could cast mass Bloodlust/Slayer/Haste.
As a perfectionist, I damn know what you're talking about. My professor gives every PhD student the advice "Don't get it right, get it written!"
So I guess if basic graphics are satisfactory (and they are very very good right now!), then things like balancing the stats can easily be done after the release. There is a big community which will give you feedback on that. So, let's just be a bit imperfect

A double strike breaking defense? If target used the Defend ability, the first strike will break that effect, and the second strike will inflict normal damage. If enemy has not used Defend, second strike will have a chance to inflict critical damage (something like +30%). Both strikes are performed before retaliation.

Dancer ability: Is it possible to make it so you can select two ranged attack targets? If so, make it so she can ranged attack two enemy units for one attack, even if they are not adjacent to each other, as if the chakras were bouncing between them.
Rakshasa ability: If multi hit is out (I don't see why not because naga/magic elemental share it), then how about either
-Gains attack while making concurrent attacks, but loses temporary boost if spent any turn not attacking.
-Double damage counter attack.

I hope you planning on keeping that Scorpion, it's design is badass.
I bit of a bummer on Lamassu, it was quite original, good thing your keeping it though. Personally I'm not a fan of those Sand Ghost units, they're pretty much another Conflux-ish Elementals. Would rather see something different but it's your choice ofc
And about new ability ideas. It's nice to see something new, but Heroes III had rather simple abilities, maybe it should be kept that way? Nothing wrong with re-using or modifying existing ones. The Snake guy can have Wyvern Monarchs poison ability, and Ghost can cast Slow, or summon Quicksand on the battlefield etc.

I have almost finished animating dancer/dervish, so it is time to showcase some of new 7lvl unit animation - Rakshasa.

I think this town looks awesome, the general idea is very good and the details very well taken care of. I only wanted to say that in my oppinion the lvl7 creature, Rakshasa, looks like lvl6. I mean it reminds me more a naga or a manticore than a dragon. I consider Lamassu more suitable for lvl7, just an oppinion.

Agree. If not 5th level (in D&D for example rakshasas are enemies of genies and are on the same level).

The Raks looks top-notch
I also feel the Lamassu fits better as lvl7. Raks can be lvl6, lvl5 -no.

The Raks look fantastic. They certainly don't look like they're up to par with the other tier 7s, but maybe it's cause I'm used to seeing 4 armed sword users at a lower tier.
I say give them a higher growth rate with weaker stats.

Anyways... in theory, can these town mods be run more than one at a time, or they are separated only? (I know they can be manually combined into a greater mod, but tht would take work)

Oasis is still under development, but definitelly not abandoned!
And yes, you can easily enable dozens mods at once and therefore play 10+ towns in one scenario.
