You can always write to hota team and ask for translation files. These guys don't want to open-source their projects but they are friendly and helpfull.

It is written not precise enough in the changelog. This rule is applied only to treasure object guards, it does not affect passage, undeground gate, monolyth, dockyard and mine guards. For these guards it is much harder to implement and they block roads not so often, so it was left for future development.

hello,
I have hota 1.5.1 version and recently the HoMM3 HD updated to 5.0 beta 39. The problem is that I no longer can select heroes. It is unavailable this choice. Only random hero to any map, random or campaign (except few campaign maps). Any thoughts? It is a little bit annoying
p.s. I also tried to use the standard launcher with the same results

Uhh - it will be cool the RMG template editor to have auto-save if it's gonna crash right before finishing a map .-. or at least to save the set of rules ...

Hello, I have a question regarding the RMG templates. I wanted to play on Jebus Cross or Apocalypse with my brother, but I have a problem - namely:
- If I create the random map in the Map Editor, I can choose the template, but not the factions (and we don't want to play random factions).
- If I create the map in the game itself, I can choose the factions, but I can't choose the template we want - I've tried adjusting the settings to match Jebus Cross (4p, L, no water), but I still get The Ring (or whatever it's called) template each time.
Does anyone know how to work around this (so we can choose both the template and our factions)?

With the RMG template editor you can pretty much force a starting zone to start with a specific castle/town by disabling all others.
Adjust size of map and so on till you get what you want and then just chose that template in the game.
Btw why the strength of monsters in zones is vaguely represented by - weak/average/strong while you can adjust monsters guarding passages quite precise ?

Sure, that's a good idea. I'll do it.
In the meantime, if you have some crash you can reproduce, please contact me, I'll try to fix it.

You need HD-mod to be able to select your template at the start of the game. And of course you can select your faction from there too.

hello
i have a pb to set up the mods
i have uploaded the game from gog galaxy, only safe way to have the complet version
however when i try to instal the mods, it says it doesnt find the complet game even when i select the folder homm3 complete from gog
how can i do it?

Maybe you have heroes3.exe in some subfolders for example heroes3complete/heroes3/heroes3.exe
Btw. Horn of the Abyss is an expansion, not mod.

No the exe doesnt appaer as selectable folder, i have only folder to select, and he doesnt detect the one from gog galaxy.
but this expansion is made by a modder no?

The crash was quite random - I was just adding a second path between zones, which I did a dozen times before that. But it's not the first time that it has crashed on me. Weirdly I think the last time that it crashed the reason was the same. But I can't reproduce it - it felt more like it just crashes after an hour or so ?!?
