Not sure if its a good idea or not...
I find "prayer spell" a bit "the same but stronger" than haste.
I was thinking about something different... And add HP to unit (during the time of spell) isn't done by spells.
To not make the spell too strong, idea was making it only affects one unit at every level (so must change it from angelic aliance to prevent bugs).
None : adds+1 attack/defense and HP
Basic : adds+2 attack/defense and HP
Advanced : adds+3 attack/defense and HP
Expert : adds+4 attack/defense and HP
The HP bonus will be quite bad for "strongest tier" but adding +4 attack and defense is still good. And adding HP to lower units can be really interesting... And not "OP" because I had in mind undead cannot be "prayered" so no ability to "prayer" on skeleton swarm.
If someone finds it a decent idea, IDK how to change "speed" by HP for now.

Does anybody know if it is possible to restore the old pre-hota highscore formula?
The new formula is terrible for casual hot-seat games, every game ends with basically the same score +/- 5. The old one was much more varied.

Does anyone know how to edit Dimension Door, Fly and Town portal?
In the original Complete Edition it was enough to extract the SPTRAITS.TXT file and edit how much to cost those spells. But now in HoTA that alone is not enough. Does anyone know where else it says how much the spells cost?
I want to make them cost 2500+ Spell Points...

I found it.
Have to extract the same file from HotA_lng.lod and redo there too

I dont know if scritps work for Hota maybe someone more expert with scripts can help you if it work with Hota

No, it's a new HotA building, so it's not in that file.
I think it must be hex edited somewhere in the HotA.dat file...

Hmm, probably a stupid question, but which .exe should I edit?
h3hota.exe or h3hota HD.exe?
I've been editing h3hota HD.exe so far but maybe it's a misstake since the HD mod gets so many updates? What would happen if I edited h3hota.exe instead?

Hi guys,
I've been looking everywhere for this info, but no success so far. I'm even trying at the Russian forum but I'm encountering some technical difficulties, so out of desperation I'll ask here:
Does anybody know where to find in the exe the offset for the coordinates of the wall section graphics in siege battles? I seem to recall that Morglin and Planetavril talked briefly about it somewhere in this thread, but never found their conclusions. I'm using HD mod, no HotA.
Thanks in advance, and sorry if the answer has been there all along and I just overlooked it.

Hello? I have a question about land mine. Land mine installed by the magic of heroes and land mine installed in front of the wall of tower seem to have different operating principles.
Land mine, installed by the magic of heroes, is influenced by creatures native to the terrain. On the other hand, the land mine installed in front of the tower's walls has nothing to do with the creatures native to the terrain.
Is it possible to edit land mine, which is installed by hero magic, too, so that it has nothing to do with creatures native to the terrain? I want to edit land mine so it can always be installed and explode regardless of creatures native to the terrain.

Max objects on the map
Hello dear guys,
I have a question (more than 1 it seems):
1. The max number of Learning stones is 32 - is there a way to crank this numbe up a bit?
2. Can the Creature banks be altered to reset 1/Month to make the game a tad more interesting?
3. And the max number of Mines/Dwellings, can it also be cranked up via Hex Editing?
4. Can the Power of the Dragonfather Artifact be set to just take Harmful Spells into consideration?

Tasks that require changing hardcoded limits or mechanics cannot be easily solved by hex-editing. For example, 32 is the number of bits in the x86 double word, so you just don't have any free room to expand the number of objects which have such a limit.

In the external Golem Factory you can buy all 4 golems.
Is it somehow possible to remove Iron Golems from here or set their growth to 0? (Possibly also exclude Gold and Diamond Golems?)
