Yeah, my friend has composed a suitable orchestral song couple of years ago and he gave me a permission to use it. That will be the town theme. We can't use © music but it should be ok if we create songs by ourselves.

No, there is only one <Effect> line in animation file, but you can make endless quantity of <ParticleInstance> in the Effect file.

Maybe I'll revert Scion back to Phoenix. There are just too few animations I could use with that Sovereign model.

Well, Soverein have not only move, hit and death animation, I think you can make teleport ability to him. But about death and hit... well we have to make something.

It would be cool if you could get the sovereign to work! but then again, he would be the ugliest tier 7 in a town ever! the model of the sovereign is not good enough if you ask me (But my word seems useless when you all like the sovereign)

Just make sure they are saved in the .ogg format in their final versions, because that's what all the H5 songs are.Quote: 3 shooters? Not too much? But I'm not a good balanser, so ask anybody else.
Academy has three shooters as well (although the Mage is a caster also)

Yeah he's too ugly indeed! He has arena-buff animation that could be used as attack animation. Nah, it's too lame. And I dont want to make his sword transparent (alpha) and add him as a shooter. So I'll dump that model. Maybe someone will make NCF creature from his model later.
I guess I'll use the Phoenix, since it's quite rare sight in HoMM V. But not today, I'm not in a mood for modding right now so I'll take a day-off and grab a beer or two
And Asheera, yeah, I've changed the .mp3 into .ogg with Audacity. I may re-upload the song somewhere if you want to listen?

Kha-Beleth has two casting animations. One of them is the one where he uses his hand to conjure a spell, while the other is the one when he uses the sword to summon a spell.
But except from that he lacks most animations unfortunately

I once made a MOD back in the GotP time for which a Kha-Beleth campaign was planned that makes the Sovereign use the Move and strike animations of Giovanni and guess what, after altering the movement speed and stuff it fit! I am certain I still have it so if you're interested I'll post it.
Nice project by the way, I'll keep an eye on this one.

I haven't decided hero abilities yet since I've been modding creatures mostly. You can suggest some abilities you'd like Oblivion heroes to have and I'll consider how they would fit
@Asheera: Yeah, and his luck animation could also be used with some spark-effect added to the hand, as ranged attack or casting. But it's a pain in the arse to browse which effects would make him disappear (death) in proper way.

Ok, for those who want to know what Ubisoft says about this kind of mod (I asked in behalf of those who doubt this):

since You (or Nival) have added UserMods folder into Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East I was wondering are we (users) allowed to make a mod that changes one faction's units and heroes (abilities, cost, stats, spells, textures)? So if I understood their words correctly we should add a readme file that says games using this Mod are no longer supported by Ubi if they (Mod users) for some reason don't understand it.

That means that if your MOD crashes someone's game, it won't be Ubi's responsibility. In other words: "Use this MOD at your own risk"

How 'bout this, mates: Since Inferno have special building "Sacrificial Altar", I'll just change the name and graphics and call it Portal of Return. Hero is granted exp for returning units to "world" via this portal (actually they are sacrificed brutally but nice illusion anyways ).
