I don't care, whether they are popular or not, I just like them. I wear earrings for more than 25 years now and have a couple of them. I wear them in both ears, but always 2 different ones. I wanted earrings as long as I can think back. Probably some toddler fixation or something. 
I don't wear anything else, though. No watches even, no jewellery or trinkets.
For some reason I like face piercings, and I even like some navel piercings - if it's not too much, you know. I don't like hardware stores instead of faces, you know, 10 earrings, piercings in lip, eyebrow, nose, tongue, cheek, scalp, you name it.
Same with tattoos. One or two tattoos, not too big, great. Body painting, well.

Technically there is nothing wrong with being interested. For me, it is only wrong IF you follow through AND she keeps it a secret from her husband. If he is ok with it, it is not an issue in my mind. Most would not be ok with it though.

something I fear. I don't really see why they wouldn't accept that someone takes interest in their wife, unless they fear to lose her, but in that case, they probably did something wrong with her.
when a wife leaves her husband for another guy, most of the time, I guess the husband will blame the other guy, but it's probably the husband who did something wrong, no?

No not always. Some people just get bored. The problem is..will she get bored of you as well? Of course I never have, do not, nor ever will understand jealousy...so..*shrugs*
