Dude, test it in-game: Angels kicked Titan ass.
Ranged meant nothing since angels have 18 speed and act first, reaching titans in first turn. Sure they have no-melee-penalty, but that didn't change the fact H3 Archangels owned H3 Titans, fact.
It was a funny rock-paper-scissor circle, actually.
Archangel > Titan
Titan > Ancient Behemoth (ranged hits before it reaches the titan)
Ancient Behemoth > Archangel (no joke here)
I do love the way H3 depicted Behemoths and Ancient Behemoths, they truly looked like dangerous and cool mammal monsters. H4 design was bad though..

In H3 the Titan, AA and AB are ultimate creeps. I wonder if somebody will bother to do a complete test on all tier 7 units? That would include 1 -100 and maybe 500 in eachs stack to se if the numbers really is a extreme factor.

I'm not be a TITAN-fan...and I don't want them to be the most powerfull creature in H6 The best cretures must be Archangels,or other types of dragons,or Phoenixes.

titans are strong. I don't say cool because i don't like the idea of very large men throwing small lightningbolts after their enemies. It's not rational. But titans are an important and strong part of Heroes of might and magic.
Just not as strong as the black dragons. The black dragon should be the strongest creature you can hire from a town and azure dragon should be the strongest creature in the game.
That's my opinion

...therer should not be a "strongest creature" IMO...it should depend on preferance, all strong creatures should have a special field where they are great in and sothers where they are bad in - Titans for exemple would be excellent in ranged attacks and should also have good HP (i mena, they are BIG) and defense, so we have to decrease their other stats, or strongly limit their ranged attack...and black dragons...well I do not see why they should be soo much stronger than other dragons...

I like titans a lot but they shouldn't be the strongest creature ... just the best tier 7 
Anyway I found them a bit lacking in H5, maybe because it was rather difficult to get might skills or str/def with Academy to support them.
