nope..
Titans in homm are other titans.. The mythology GOD titans were to strong... they had all their own Element.. and they were undeafeatable... They were BAD EVIL and i don't think they ever shall join a good tower town.. they just mixed up the creature names.. no big deal... they just meant something like Warrior giant.. But not a titan.. tha't should be pethetic if they mean that! Because a titan can defeat ZEUS! whahaahahah lol

I would rather have both the Giant and the Titan. They would look different and the Giant would be stronger, but couldn't shoot. NO UPGRADE! Two units.
In mythology Zeus kicked the Titan's butts and forced them into labor, and had them make his lightning bolts.
Incubus, you insist that every creature in Heroes has to be just like they were in old myths, but every time I bring up Tolkein you say we don't need to use old stories. Exactly. We don't need to use old myths to create all the creatures in Heroes 4!!!!
And Titans looked like Giants in togas.....

There are no TITANS! what he say is just wishing.. There are only giants. that trown lightings.. i like this the only good thing on homm4 is the NON upgrades.. A titan is nothing for every race.. No haven unit.. no dungeon no preverse no necro no Stronghold and in the academy there are already the mech dragon and giant.. so bye bye titan! YES!

What I really think should have been the strongest creature from a homm III perspective is the Black Dragon which should have been immune to all magic. I don't like the artifact(s) that make the vulnerable to magic. Get rid of them and make the Black dragons the strongest creature once again !!!
hey what about having both orb of vulnerability & orb of inhibition...

Yes!!!!! I am so glad that somebody finaly brought up that idea!
The Titans are semi gods, they are among the coolest creatures of the game, they are wise, immune to the effects of time and are very usefull in combat (tacticaly, strategicaly and just being strong). They MUST be the strongest units of the game.
For many years, since HOMM II (in which the Titans were the best we have seen for now), the Titans have been opressed by the creators in favor of the dragons. Lets put an end to that trend comrades! at HOMM II the dragons were a bit stronger, at HOMM III, again the Black dragons were a bit stronger. In HOMM IV the Titans have been reduced to a medium 4th level creature (shame on you 3DO).
Is this going to repeat itself again, at HOMM V?
I hope not!
For all of you dragon lovers, don't you think that it is unfair for you to get all the glory all the time? give us some room, you are not the center of the universe.
Dragons have been enjoying the "best unit" status since day one (HOMM I "dragon" unit), thats enough!
May the age of dragons end and the age of Titans begin!
Not forgeting the Angels of course! you rock as well, especialy the HOMM III Archangel, which is, in my opinion, one of the coolest units of all time.

The Dragon age should be ended soon. But the fact says that the dragon rules Heroes 1-5. Especially in heroes 4 where the Most powerful creature which only grows ONE (means that the creature is twice powerful than the other highest level of each town) is IN TOWN. not like heroes 3 that the powerful dragons are OUT TOWN.
I agree with Comradex that Heroes should give chance to another creature to be the strongest. But, It is not TITAN. Archangel as the King of Justice, with holy shape wings, Heavenly appeared, and holds the Sword of Judgement, should be the Strongest.

I agree with some of what Evil Warrior said. It is kind of right for the "ultimate representation of good and justice" (as some call the Archangel) to be the strongest creature couse' it is the "judge" and should have great power to kepp the order around. But I also think that the Archdevil should be close to the Archangel in strength (only close, not as strong or stronger. maybe a difference of 20 - 30 HP and 2 - 3 points of skill), and that is to have a bit more balance between good and evil. Think of it, the war between good and evil is endless, and if the Angels are much stronger than the Devils they should have won a long time ago. I think that the Angels should be win each time, but only after hard and long battles. Besides, Devils are fallen angels, so they to should be strong.
Despite that, Titans are also devine! in Greek mythology they are almost as powerfull as the gods them selves! that says something (and I think that the war between the Angels and Devils should resemble the war between the gods and the Titans at the Greek mythologym, without one enslaving the other, ofcourse).
Titans should be very, very strong.
If not the strongest, they should be very close to the Angels and Devils but not as strong or stronger (for example lets use the HOMM III stat system: Angels - 270 HP 30 30 skills, 18 speed, 50 set damage, flying, resurect ability. Devils - 250 HP, 29 28 skills, 17 speed, 35 - 45 damage, teleport, summon pit fiend (unupgraded). Titans - 300 HP, traditionaly, 28 28 skills, 14 speed, 40 - 60 damage, ranget with at least 18 shots and not just 5!, mind spell immunity.
Thus the Titans will justify their devine nature, but still won't undermind the conflict of good and evil.
The Titans should be compeled to the side of good, but only after the war comes close to the foot steps of Academy lands. The Titans should be good, but stay noetral at first. I also think that they should have a higher status at the Academy, not only as creatures, but also as advisors, and honorable citizens.
Last but not least, I think that even if the Titans won't be the strongest creatures they should definitly be stronger than any of the Dragons, especisly the Black Dragons, as they have enjoyed the crown for too long (No offense please, dragon lovers. I don't have enything against you or dragons in general, I just like Titans more and think that they should get some of the credit that your favorite creatures have been enjoying for the past 10 years).
For comparison lets use the HOMM III stat system and create the stats for the Black Dragon:
275 HP, 27 27 skills, 16 speed, 40 - 50 damage, 2 hex breath, flying, total magic immunity (that can be canceled by a few powerfull and hard to get artifacts).

Titan is human (wizard's) creation, while angel, devil, dragons, and even the wizards themselves are God's creation. So, it's very logical that titan should NOT be the most powerful creature.

The hall of fame said that to reach Black Dragon rank is harder than Titan rank. But if we prove in real combat, Titan has more chance to win.
