If his army is anything like ours he should be back on weekends (usually). Let's give him until Monday before we skip him.

I'm here. Not home though. Just getting some more gear for next week's camp. Clean clothes first time in three weeks.

"So what's that third promise for then?", she inquires.
"That's for Kiki and Victor. They are my family too.", her look becomes distant and she falls into deep thought.
"Can I be a part of it too?"
"Maybe, but we would have to find you a mother first..."
"FATE! Come play!", Victor shouts.
"You should go or he'll never be quiet", I whisper to her. She giggles and takes off running. I look after the two. They remind me so much of my children.

Of course I an in the army. Where else would I be?
