That's not lack of complexity, that's just waiting...
And obviously I'm talking about NationStates2 not 1

You made a nation Dagoth? Which world? (78 would be a good choice, it only has 2 nations, but I don't like the idea of others externally going in, what was the creator thinking )

I'm not gonna make a nation in a world where 50 nations I don't even know decide to kick my ass k?

And besides, where are the nukes? That kinda sorts out war, when was the last time you've seen a country with nukes being attacked with an invasion? Honestly...

Not my problem you're a bad diplomat & military organizer

But yes I hate interacting with nations I don't even know (this means trading, etc, not just war )

Or because the game doesn't have nukes...

Trading? They can't force anything upon you so you can ignore them. Not so much with war.

When you go to sign up for NationStates 2, it'll eventually ask which world you want to join. Pick "Don't care" for size option and 45 should be on the drop-down list of worlds you can choose.

I've heard they are working on ways to be able to move worlds as well, but that's probably still a ways off.

Hmm, I don't like the results (the random ones)

1) Why the Hell am I in a continent named "Arctic" when my terrain is "Tropical"?

2) I don't like what industries I got - and this sucks, it seems my nation paid 1.23 million Zens for hydro-electric energy (wth?)

3) "The country is renowned for being very well-dressed." - when did I choose that? I don't want to waste my nation's money on very expensive noble clothes.

I hate random stuff And I hate that "Ambassador" status, which makes some other nations 'superior' (when they pay) - this is what I always hated in MMO's where you have this option to pay (more) and receive extra features.

I think I'm gonna drop out from this game.

Also, some unknown nation sent me a telegram: "Please join my alliance"

When you filled out the papers at the start, I think you also chose the personality of your people (don't say there ain't such thing, because it definitely does exist). And I also think that every nation starts in it's full glory, so whatever they wear (cheap or expensive) every other nation would think: 'wow, that's original, I want to wear that.'

As far as I know, your nation is pro-business, so it's not "your" money spent on clothes, if people want it they have it... of course with your Civil Rights (I think they are "Excellent" in NationStates1)

Quote:
Also, some unknown nation sent me a telegram: "Please join my alliance"
Why don't you?

What's your nation? Drathir?

Well my nation is a "Inoffensive Centrist Democracy", and I'm like WTF? First, there's the non-socialistic approach (well Centrist is not THAT bad but I'd prefer a bit more to the left, not really extreme, only for "big" corporations/companies). Then Democracy, I'd like a political issue to outlaw elections soon (so it fits more like Skama), so far I only got 4 issues dealing with miscellaneous stuff. Damn random

Ok I've got a question. What is with Trade Partners? What if I set someone to Favorable? Does that mean I buy directly from them, but at a higher price? Shouldn't they also "approve" to sell directly to me? I don't understand how it works

Also I think with the current rate of nations joining this world, it'll be overcrowded soon so make sure you get a spot quick (even if you decide later that it's a crappy game, better safe than sorry)

I think everyone should mention their nations. I'm Skama in continent Oceanica (World 45 ofc). Add me to your dossier so we can keep track of each other. Currently I have Mvassland and Drathir (is that you Ash?) to my Dossier.

I've written a long history with the (biased ) philosophy

Quote:
Skama's philosophy arose from a rare "enlightened" feeling when Borsuc, the leader, who is considered to have a "third eye vision" and by few even some kind of divine being, contemplated about the world, about abuse of the land and the people as a whole philosophy and resulted in a spiritual pain that had to be endured. Despite the fact that most would probably admit their "philosophical defeat" at this point, he kept going forward clung to a bit of hope, though much of it has been lost on the way. He could never understand the evil and corrupt self-interest that arises in most businessmen or politicians alike, spreading such primitive mentality like a virus. Even though some may view him as biased (and Borsuc himself admits it), he has never felt comfortable when letting someone down that depended on him. As the nation's ruler, the responsibility is far greater. Borsuc is not just a spiritual leader, but also one that highly places his values above his pockets. In his view, these are the things that make them better than a highly self-interested leech, for once a man has lost all of his values and sold his heart to profit, there is little left that can still characterize him as a person, if at all (or at least so goes the main philosophy). Such people are pictured as leaving blight behind wherever they settle, and causing more and more suffering or destruction to fill their pockets, without much remorse, and even if there is in the slightest, it is completely overshadowed by the huge amount of greed and personal satisfaction with little regard to anything else. This mentality is extremely discouraged in Skama's culture.

Little by little, a state developed in which the ideology is to be clean, pure and peaceful above greed and overly self-interest. The main philosophy considers the capitalistic-oriented snakes that place profit above all other values, as the lowest filth and enlightenment awareness that one can possibly sink into -- which have replaced their hearts with pockets for greed and consumption. The cleanness of Skama's philosophy comes from it's constant awareness of the harmony between all beings and the surrounding, becoming a part of one, realizing that nothing is isolated. It has been viewed as a place where you learn to live with integrity not just with people but with all beings, living and not living, and highly acclaimed for its peaceful, meditative natural places and visions of inner beauty, rather than materialistic blindness and corruption; not just natural beauty and wonders that awakes inner spiritual levels, but sometimes even architectural inspirations where appropriate. It has become remarkable for being one of the richest "new" cultures in such a short amount of time. The inner values of a person like honor and dignity, are the necessary components of such a philosophy, and it is one of the main principles of the culture. The mass amount of corrupted minds does not intimidate Skama's policy: it would rather have a few people with rich hearts rather than a whole lot of scums caring for bigger pockets and trashing everything with their purely materialistic principles.

Skama is renowned for its special Ninja Police Force that uses these sacred arts for spying, investigating and gathering all sorts of information about suspects and criminals. They are not used only for assassinations as most of their kin, but serving the duties of a noble cause. While that may sound incompatible, it is only the art itself, of stealth, deception, martial arts and "ninja magic", that it is what characterizes them as Ninjas, not their goals -- for which they serve the Police Force. Despite this omnipresent situation of a Police Force, they do not oppress citizens' lives with too many regulations. They are like silent hunters for criminals. However, in times of need or under threat, even the least trained can be as fierce as ten ordinary men in a combat, but can even serve as international spies or assassins, though only when it is really necessary. While training, more like lack of it, is often a major obstacle in the way, there have been recorded no actual limits in the capabilities of these mighty warriors.

Skama is known for its notable intolerance towards pirates, unless they are also Ninjas.

I don't think you get how the game works. Naturally, you are only a leader (and with good civil rights too), what did you expect, to have robots in their personal lives to control them like a God? I mean really, a real ruler wouldn't even notice the "well dressed" stuff, it's just not even important, unless you are a Psychotic Dictatorship. Get more serious

Now, yes the Ninja stuff with the Police Force is half-joke half-serious (btw: look at my newspaper ) it's cool this way

Maybe you're right and this game sucks but I'll give it a small try for now. I also added 2 alliances to my dossier (not joined them yet). Also Rohith sells Solar Cells if you need power, I'm thinking of sending a telegram to it maybe we'll trade some.

If you're looking for Ballistic Missiles for your (apparently non-existent nukes in this game) try West Coastia, it's in my continent

EDIT: Oh it seems the newspaper isn't displayed anywhere publicly WTF?

My newspaper is called Badgeera

No, I don't play this game because:

1) What industries I got suck. Seriously. You have your GDP = 2.71 million, mine is 1.41 million because I had to buy hydro-electric energy for 1.23 million () - of course this went probably random without my will as well
This would be ok if it got 'countered' by my industries, but the antibiotics one provided me with only 0.01 million, which is almost nothing. (and wine sold for 0.21 million)

2) I don't like 'rich' (those that pay 5$ monthly) people to have advantage over the others. (spying, etc). I hate this kind of stuff, even at some other MMOs where you can pay more for extra features.
