Italy, late summertime.  I was in a bus, travelling with my schoolmates;  we were coming home from the excursion.  For some reason I was dropped off at the wrong place, and I was greeted by freezing weather, snow and ice.  I struggled to find some place where I could stay for the night.  Running around the town, I somehow found my friend's apartment, so I paid him a visit and told him what has happened.  Then, all of a sudden, a man in a dark suit came inside and told me to follow him, and that the matter was of utmost importance.

Darkness.

I found myself in a pit with a torch placed in a sconce on the wall. There was no way up.  However, there was a way forward, into a tunnel of sorts.  Seeing that it's the only place I could go, I went inside.  The tunnel opened up into a well lit crypt.  There were bones everywhere on the ground.  I heard a voice I can't describe say: "Fate."

Darkness again.

Once more I stood in front of the tunnel entrance, only this time it wasn't in the pit.  Once more I went inside, but there was no crypt there.  Instead, a pile of potato chips bags was placed in a dead end.  Confused, I went outside, only to find myself in a Soviet military camp.  The soldiers didn't seem to notice me, so I used this as an opportunity to explore the place.
Turns out they were using the chips to induce mind control.

You came in Italy and didn't visit me?

I'll share a more light-hearted dream.

Back in my childhood home we had some problems with an office chair, my mother couldn't raise it up, it would stay pretty low and uncomfortable, so I take a remote and use it to raise the chair, but I can't figure out the best height for the chair, at some point I decide that the best height would be the one that allows the back wheels to stabilize the chassis. Throughout the whole ordeal the chair wheels transformed into tank treads, so it was logical that we needed to make it stable to lead it through harsh terrain. After some minutes we hear of a contest for the best handmade tank, we see some honorable mentions pretty much fail at every step, I was laughing, so hard that silence came and darkness came over.
There was some sort of sequel regarding infantry men of various states, but that was more fuzzy.

We didn't even get to see Rome.  Firenze was the southernmost place we've visited...  Sicily was out of question, so there's that :/

I'm inside an old industrial building, looking for something.  It's late afternoon, and the sun is setting, light fading slowly as I walk through the hallway.  Most of the windows are broken and glass is everywhere on the floor.
I don't know what I'm looking for, but I know that I have a reason for being there, and that I can't go out until I find what I seek.  The hallway stretches forward into what seems to be infinity, the sheer thought of that makes me nervous.  I anxiously march down the hallway, looking left and right every other moment as if I fear that I'd just walk past the thing I'm looking for without even noticing it.  All of a sudden, I hear a loud clunk, and a few more shortly after, each one louder than the one before.  The last clunk sounds as if it comes from behind me.  As I turn around to see what's going on, I wake up.

I couldn't fall asleep after that.  For a good thrirty minutes I was lying down in complete silence.  Then I heard the clanking sound from the outside.  When I got up to look through the window and see what was going on outside, there was nothing there.  There should've been, but...  Who knows.  Maybe I was just imagining it.

Walking in the city, and then defectuous civilian planes falling near me and destroying pretty much everything around, I managed to avoid them though and survive.

So for the second time in my life I had the dream where I wake up from a wet dream, being annoyed about the mess and then some time later I wake up for real and realize it was fortunately only a dream and there wasn't any mess.

Also I woke up early so I could make sure to help if needed, but couldn't get up and fell asleep again. Within those 20-30 minutes I slept before I woke up again I had a nightmare about the final map in doom 2 and monsters scarier than those from the game chasing me through walls and hurting me despite I had put on immortality cheats on and continued chasing me even after I paused the game. The funny thing is that something like that happened when I played when I was younger, getting killed despite having put on immortality, bugged monsters that could go through walls and were unaffected by projectiles, and back then it did scare me, but I haven't been scared by game in ~20 years by now.. The part about the game continuing despite having hit pause is something I have only experienced in diablo 2 though.

I think the reason the nightmare scared me like when I was younger was because when I was younger I always saw myself as the player and if the player got killed I felt like it was me it happened for, while now I don't make that connection, but in my dream there was no outside world.

I had an interesting one about a month ago, likely inspired by the dark wine sea discussion.

I was in a small island, perhaps 15 meters length, with some friends and the sky and sea around us were changing colours. Yellow, pink, purple, blue, green in varying levels of brightness and darkness.

Amazing sight Though, still not a match for deep purple sea in a storm. Hard to top that.

As Fred pointed out, I had a dream I spoke on another thread, randomly.

The dream was about the end of the universe, at least the one known to me. Something would trigger this black-hole thing that would swoosh past everything, and it would clear all matter and also the non-material world, which means all psyche, from existence.

I was watching that floating in space, 3rd person-ly.

Then it came, the black-hole thing, cleared everything, and then it passed by me. My mind came out blank. An odd sensation indeed. Although I remember the sensation and that I thought it was strange, I only thought about these things after waking up. In the dream, my mind really was cleared of all thinking for a while.

I only woke up due my alarm clock, which strangely beeped a little after that scene. Wonder what would happen if it took longer to beep. Although, given my mind was blank, can't say if it wasn't long enough until being awaken. Overall, the sensation was very peaceful. Wonder if that's how the feeling of death is.

***

Today I had a dream of defeating dark blurs with my family, family which I don't see personally for years. Some of them required me to fix electric and TV plugs to efficiently be able to defeat said fiends. To protect ourselves, we should sleep gathered in baby cribs, whilst the plugs would do their business.

It was probably reminiscence of the time in my infancy, when I slept in a baby crib and lived with my mother and sister, whom I don't see for years now. I recall and have many memories since I was 2 yo, and few from when I was even younger, which my mother confirmed when I mentioned. Usually annoying stuff though.

something else i forgot until now: i had another tsunami dream a couple nights ago.

so, i'm down near the beach, and i'm the only one who sees this tsunami coming in, from far out at sea. i take off running, looking for a car to steal so i can high-tail it inland(and to higher ground); but all the cars are locked, and everyone else has now noticed the tsunami too, which is coming it at a faster pace, and growing larger. it's now at least 200 feet high and growing as it speeds even further towards everyone's doom. so i crest a hill, and i get into a truck, and tear ass in the opposite direction. but the truck breaks down, and i get out on the crest of another hill. looking behind me, i can see the tsunami coming. it's now at least 300 feet high, and pushing stuff out of it's way(vehicles, buildings, trees, people). i quickly climb on some building at the crest of the hill, trying to get higher than the tsunami, but it's no use. the thing is now at least 500 feet high.

so, i turn away from it, and brace for the wave's impact; hoping to ride it up to the top like a surfer. i think i had grabbed a piece of wood or something the size of a boogey board and slid it under me just as the wave hit. at first, i was just sliding along, then i was rising into the air. in my terror, i was thinking that this might actually work. but then the wave swallowed me, and i'm underwater with the wave still going. i'm under 300+ feet of water(because i was able to crest some of the wave), and i'm looking up. i can see vehicles and people(both alive and dead), underwater with me. the ones who are alive are swimming to the top, so i start heading there, knowing i'm gonna drown, regardless. and once my breath gives out, i'm trying to breathe water again(just like everytime i run out of air underwater). i'm able to get SOME oxygen from the water, but not enough so i'm not suffocating. i'm still swimming higher and higher, though; determined to reach the surface and breathable air.

and i reach the surface just in time. i break through to the surface and i'm taking giant panic breaths of air(i guess the water didn't stay in my lungs). as i ride the top of the wave catching my breath, i'm looking down into the water and seeing a couple great whites beneath me. one has already grabbed someone and is busy devouring them. the other looks like he's trying for me.

i am able to climb onto a platform floating on the water just as the shark is inches away. the wave is still moving inland. it's at this point i pull out my still-working cell phone to call my mom and neice(who's further inland), and warn them about the incoming tsunami. but all i get is a busy signal. and then, static. so i don't know if it they ever make it out or get to safety or not.

regardless, this platform i'm on, is from the roof of some wooden building. it consists of a flat platform that is floating on the waves, with a raised middle platform(box-ish, like a seperate piece of the roof), and finally, with some kind of wooden canopy over it, which is good, since the other people and i are going to need shade from the sun in however many days we'll be floating until we're rescued(IF we're rescued). what i'm floating on can best be described as the upper half of a barn, without walls; only supports around 2 outside edges.

so, me and these other people are sitting around, and trying to figure out what we're going to do for food and whatever else. that's when somebody spots another great white(or just the same great white that tried to eat me before) surfacing. this shark jumps once, and misses someone; flying right through our shelter and landing in the water on the other side. so, i naturaly climb my ass higher, or try to. the huge shark breaches once again, and it now comes to a skidding halt IN the shelter, and it's jaws are snapping at my legs, which are inches away from it. i'm trying to climb higher and get my legs out of the way of it's snapping jaws filled with rows and rows of sharp-ass teeth, but i'm not really able to move far; since i'm nearly paralyzed in terror.

then the dream switches to something else i don't remember. something having to do with being in basic combat training again. which i dreamt about again last night. it's a recurring them, basic training, and it's pretty goddamn annoying. last night, i was walking around on post, and trying to find a decent place to eat. i had decided on the dfac(since it was where i could find the healthiest food), when i woke up.
