So I did remember correctly.
Now that saying...
A good one although not gonna work anywhere. There's always someone to push you to their way of thinking.
Have you ever noticed how absolutely hilarious the conversations between muslims, jews and christians are when they try to convinse each other that their god is the best?
Afterall they all have the same god.
If you ever get to witness one prepare for some very good time.
Before it ends in a fight that is.

Just wanted to present that little fact in public here to give the people an idea about your sense of logic, if they are to judge your reliability. Feel free to do the same for me.

Minus the "lol" at the end, that is exactly my point People can see the absurdity in calling Harry Potter a god and a new religion, yet they can't in Christianity or other religions? Why is that?

Just wait a thousand years and no one will question if HP is real and the writer is a goddess or a prophetess quided by divine intervention.
Or maybe religion has died out by then. Or there has been a harmageddon. Who knows?
By the way can't anyone here tell me what god speed means?
(Got a Laudatur from English and don't even know that.)

What reaction do you expect? antipaladin stated his personal opinion. He didn't offend or insult anyone personal.
Is christianity now becoming similar to some islamic countries? I heard, today they arrested an english teacher in Sudan for 15 days, coz her students gave the name Mohamed to a teddy bear (no kidding!).
So if anyone thinks the bible is full of lies, he can state that in a modern western democratic country without getting hunted....

I believe theres a good chance god existed because in fact, theres so many wierd things there that just seem to bind together and wouldnt have.
Yeah you could say that in probablity even if its an outrageous number it would have happened eventually. But look how little habitale worlds there are. its obviouslt uncommon. Actually thats not even saying the same thing as the big bang didnt exist really. But who started it and how could it have happened that we came from it when almost noone else did.
Yes humans have misinterpreted and have done evil things in gods name. But back then people were squabbling over everything anyway. They still are today. Wether its a war "in the name of atheisim!" or "in the name of god" Is kinda unimportant, people WANTED to fight either way. Its in mans nature.
As for if how ridicolous it soudns when different religions argue.. Well both christianity and muslims are kinda like the christian heretic equivalant of jews, As in they went and made their own religion based on some stuff on the bible. Now i dont mean to fight anyone about this because its theoretically possible. But if the bible is such a stupid and irrelevent document, I still cant see who humanly had the creativity to write it at the time!
Back to the original topic anyway, So many things are perfect. Foods, water .power intellegence the perfection of the human body in the way its all so much about balance. You excersize so you dont get fat, But if you excersize too much your muscles will likely get strained, But if you stop doing anything you will get fat. How doing things you like will make you happier, But ignoring your responsibilities wont work, As your happiness will be short-lived.

Hmm,if someone losses believing in GOD than how do they actualy take care of not getting into depression cuz with no faith there in no real and safe meaning of life.
And really if you know about communist states than in communist regime,religion is forbidden and after the fall of such regime crime and corruption rises to extremely high levels.

You must understand then that saying it was all God's work is no more than a temporary theory untill it gets disproven by sciense, as was the case with many things previous unexplained and said to be God's work, which later sciense overruled. And so it will be with the subjects you touch right now.

I have yet to find a war being waged "in the name of atheism".... Holy wars, more than enough examples of those, but in the name of Atheism? Never. Greed and Wealth and desire of power, yes, but those don't define atheism.

What exactly is your point here? Seems just like speculation about its origins here. Regardless of its origin, saying the bible of ALL books seems inhumanly creative to write is a non-argument.

There not being religion does not explicitly tie in with being the cause of corruption. During the medieval ages the poor people were stripped of their money by the church just as well! They are as much a corrupt organisation as any other.
As for having no meaning, some people are apparently strong enough to accept Death is a part of life and embrace it. They don't need religion to feel better about their life.

Just saying its irrelevent why theres a war, its never for religion or for atheisim or for anything else spiritual or some such nonsense. Theyre just made because the leaders wanted them to for power or greed or wealth or revenge as you say.

yes. My point is that if its not, we would probably have already seen another world similar to ours. A lot of things seem just placed there by more then simple luck but more by someones whim.

@ Corribus, the only thing I regret is any posts that might be affected by it. I was willing to debate anything on any level, but it came to the point that it was a useless endevor. Since it was constantly explained to me that I constantly failed to understand the discussion, my posts became redundant. Some will undoubtedly say I was too sensitive, or who knows, but *shrugs*.
There are still some interesting debates that could have been discussed, had things been different. However, I am conceeding the match. Point, set, game. To the victor goes the spoils.
