Hi guys, i was wondering maybe some of you might help. have a similar problem but i get:
(Script) ERROR Hero "Gotai" doesn`t exist
Got this on all heroes so far,it worked only for Arantir the necro.
my command was
@AddHeroCreatures("Gotai", 70, 50);
Please advise

I have version 1.0 and i use Vista
Sounds like the file might be read only. Right-click it in Explorer, click on Properties and uncheck the Read-only box if it is checked.

@Pat: Gotai's code for script is "Gottai", with 2 t. 
@Goldwolf122: under Vista, "Program Files\" might be protected by some security. Make sure you get around that.

you have too uncheck the read only and get the admins permission

wow.. many many thanks. Really fast reply on that matter. this happens to many other heroes as well. Any thoughts about how i should know what to write in the future heroes names? thanks again.

I have version 1.6 wich cheats are possible now?

to uncheck the read only right click the autoexec file and select properties it should open the properties window then at the bottom there you should see the read only. If you'r using Vista get the admins permission.

yeh i know i do have admins permission, but it doesnt ask me for it,
it just keeps saying the file alrdy excists, cannot create the file
tells me to save the location,i press ok, and keeps going over and over and over

I have a question in regards using cheats in the HoMM 5: Legends of the Ancients. In book 1 the main character is Malustar but he is not in the Hero Names Chart so the cheats don't work with him becuase his internal name is not known. Does anyone know it?

@volkodav1984: Malustar uses the internal name "Agrael".
@redneck_gamer: you have to enter the commands with the correct syntax, and the correct parameters. For example, to add creatures, the command is
@AddHeroCreatures(...
notice the capitals A, H, C, the 's' at the end, ...
