they fight for evil (that's what I said), the problem was that there was a debate whether they are evil or just fighting for evil
For me the renegades remind me of Illidan(which is my favourite game character)

Yes, 'cause they're thinking that it's Isabel NOT Biara... And she has her own church so they just thought that it's a blessing and not as a curse... Corruption is not always clearly visible ... And probably once they see the real Isabel they'll bow to her...

What I want to know is reasons why most of the community doesn't like them besides being evil, and by this I refere strictly to gameplay(considering they would be balanced). The dungeon alternates seem to be corrupted by demons as well but nobody seems to have a problem with that.

Fallen angels betrayed elrath fully knowing what they are doing. They are nothing but traitors. Humans could be 'fooled', but not celestial beings like angels... they became evil. They would be unable to cooperate with archangels (the closest angels to elrath), and rather fight each other. Town with both fallen angel and archangel is not making any sense at all  .
Angel of wrath (offensive alternate) - yes  , but of HOLY wrath, not evil one.
And dungeon, as it is rather evil without alternates, doesn't get much changed - tha new cretures (and only a few) are just more openly evil, and I see no reason for them being demon-touched  .

there are 4 castles left for nival to make alternatives for. We'll know what haven alternatives are within a month.

I hope they'll let us know on Tuesday.
I really what to know if they are the renegades or not, and if not are they neutral or you can recuit them from the adventure map in some dwelling.

It's when you start debating about a videogame like HoMM V's storyline and throw in bits like "Elrath", "like inquisition" and "Fallen Angels and ArchAngels cannot cooperate" - THEN it hits you that you just need to get out more.

I think they should show Orc regular line-up first and then their alternate upgrades. so 5 weeks maybe 
no, orcs will be last

Fallen Angels just simply can't fight along side whit the good guys. In Christian mythology Lucifer was the first Arch Angel what become Fallen Angel and he got banished from the heaven. This Fallen Angel is also identified as Satan.
I know it's just a game and even the Demons are just an alien race. But you hafto think it whit logic and see Fallen Angels just don't belong to haven!

They hafto make up something that it wouldn't be close to any religion what can perhaps offend somebody..
In Heroes Angels aren't Christians but they are holy creatures! The ones what have fallen from the grace aren't.

Yeh, well I thought of Renegades as an alternative Upgrade-Level? There are no dwellings to recruit them(maybe they will be there in addon) and you cannot recruit them in any town. I know some of them are overpowered in some ways, but in some ways the normal haven-upgrade line is overpowered as well. Let us see: The Arch Angel can reborn other creatures, thats good enough. The Paladin is a good damage-dealer!(lol, i never thought of saying that , but in heroes they are ones)They can also HEAL other Creatures. And The Inquisitors are also heavy with their spells. We don't have to talk about the griffin-upgrade. It's the best shooter-killer i've ever seen! These are already 4(!) creatures. So let's find a 5th to the renegates: The swordsman. Sometimes I could destroy my pc, because THEY DO NOT DIE! And i am happy if i have them. My shooters will be defended all the way! So aren't it 5to5? And also if the renegates are toooo devil-like, i really would like to see them as the alternative upgrade for haven!

some ideas for how to balance the renegades so that they can be used as alternates:
enforcer loses bash
crossbowman -1 def, 2-7 dam instead of 2-8
vindicator -1 def
battle griffin -2 initiative
zealot no range attack
champion stays the same
fallen angel has the same stats but instead of life drain he has fright aura, enraged and no enemy retaliation
