If you can get rid of the moos it is. But I see no way of getting rid of them.

A poor excuse for a bump, but....
It's obvious what I picked, but would you do the same? I just leveled and was offered expert earth and wisdom. I picked earth, holding out for armorer. I'll get three chances for armorer and very little chance for getting wisdom again. And of course a chance for crap. I have a full scholar and a tower.

I think the answer depends on the map (can you get books somewhere ?) and when you actually expect to meet your opponent. I believe that in (almost ?) all situations online the right decision is to pick Earth. Of course if this is some sort of campaign, you can take wisdom and exploit your scholar and relevant spells. But then again, who cares ? You already have 7 skills at expert and all of them rock. For me that's the end of the story. If you get a crappy skill on the 8th slot, well ... it doesn't really matter now, does it ? If you get something good, it is a bonus.
That's the way I see things at that level: expert earth and kill'em all in a few days (you are a professional marathon-runner  ). Besides ... you were delayed so far by not having expert slow anyway!

I had fired up WoG while waiting for my wife to dress for the Christmas party , but the random map turned out to be rather amusing. It's week 2 day 1, Rion with his first week army (no Angels but some additional Halberdiers who joined) is caught between Magic Earth Mushrooms in the north (that brown object, which would grant him Expert Earth for a week) and greater glory in the south:
1) a Prison guarded by a few Dracoliches
2) Sword guarded by several Archangels
3) a pack of Hydras and a Utopia behind them
4) a portal leading to a throng of Swordsmen guarding Dragonheart, artie that summons Dragons in combat
Not sure the troops will last for all of those battles, so as the title says: what would you do next?
Spells: Slow, Lightning + Living Scroll of Haste
(Meanwhile a new scout will probably take over the army to engage the Gogs and clean the road west).

Seems like you are playing with original RMG? Anyway, I would visit the mushrooms first, then try to do the most fights possible during a week. Or you can suicide on Dracoliches and take care of your wife aftermath.
The first screen is untouched? Seems you have a better resolution then the common mortal.
