I made some researches and is much complicated like in Heroes II,III or V.

I found where is the learning curve.

Personally, I like how is the experience until level 30, after that is a bit too hard to hit higher levels.

Anyway, I've made some changes and reduced the experience needed.



Heroes IV Levels (leveling mod): The experience has been reduced drastically, so now will be possible to reach level 40 a bit easier.


Level 10 requires 12,000 xp instead of 16,000 xp as in original version
Level 20 requires 76,500 xp instead of 108,000 xp as in original version
Level 30 requires 466,100 xp instead of 668,100 xp as in original version
Level 40 requires 2,866,800 xp instead of 4,124,300 xp as in original version




P.S If the changes will make too easy learning curve, will be adjustments, but need testing.





It seems that the resource is not avaliable now ,and could you please tell me how to modify the experience curve? Is the data of
the curve in some text file?

Whats decide about set of spells in mage tower? Is it random or depends on level of play?

ToE is Tribes of the East, an expansion pack for HoMMV FYI Little to do with this I guess.

I'm not so sure if the magetowers and those buildings are random. They always seem to have skills that fit your own race when. I'm talking about those that you usually find in the beginning of the game.

Hi there, I'm looking for some H4 modding help... I'm quite new to this, previously I've made a few mods for H5, H4 seems a lot more complicated. I guess I can handle changing stats, costs etc, but do you think it is possible to change things like max units (spots) in a single army? I'd like to make all factions have 7/8 unit tiers (5 units is pretty poor don't you think?), so it gets a bit closer to H3/H5 system. As much as I can see from this topic your work is awesome

i guess it's possible, but it't hard. you need to make new animations, new interface pictures, etc.

This is all I see in first post from BAD.. I don't see any guide or links to any info that people seem to be talking about... I really really need just one thing done.

I've looked every time I went back to playing HoMM IV for some mod to disable Fog of War.. This is the most annoying feature of Homm IV and really makes me lose interest in playing it even though I love the graphics and gameplay..  This is the biggest thing I love about HoMM games is watching the heroes move about and not being able to see the map creatures / graphics is really frustrating.. I really liked the graphics in this game but then there is the FoW that covers it all up..

Is there any possible to way to increase view radius on objects like towns / mines or some way of making a mod to disable Fog of War??  

I have to get it disabled!!

Thx for reply but yeah I tried that.. Just reveals entire map which i don't want.. I like the shroud.. but hate the Fog of War..  

I'm surprised that no one has come up with some way of disabling fog of war.. why they make that so tough to turn off is dumb.

Anyone else know a way?  or some way maybe to increase the radius of objects in the map.

sorry i can't understand long time ago i tried to make captain tsubasa game with hex editor and i can do with hex codes. Example offset of tsubasa 00887550 and 06 is hair color. when i chanced this with A0 (yellow) hair becomes yellow but it looks similar but i can't to

which file i must open first ?
example i want to increase ranged defense of cerberi
or
i want to add new ability on bandits

how can i do ?

for cerberi IIRC you must edit table.creatures.txt to give them more defense.

for bandits: grab the offset of their abilities and replace already existing ability, with ability of your choice. if you want to add new ability, you'll need to create a jump to place, where you list all the abilities, then return to the beginning and change the call for abilities number.
