I understand. You will have to learn scripting then.

Fyi, A shortcut that I've read shared many times: If you could find a map where this was already done for any skill/perk; then you could copy and edit it to what you want for your own map.

Good luck. Btw, there's a scripting guide @ Celestial Heavens for download.

I think on this forum should be a special topic about only scripting.
I now it's hard and not many understands it (scripting), but this kind of topic would be very helpful.

Thanx for the help guys. I checked your link and I find out the harsh truth:

It has to be a single mission or else the script won't work

So I guess I'll have to stick to ships.

Elvin had scripts in his duel map, and it was multiplayer. but maybe it only works online?

He used to call it "arena mod" I guess. So it was rather a mod than a script, but to be honest I have no idea...

How can i import existing creatures from HV ToE into 3DSMAX ? I'd like to fool around a bit and maybe make a faction. Thanks for any reply ! Regards

Hello I have a few questions, I spend much time searching for answers... If somebody knows information about it you would be a great help to me.

1 Did somebody know, how to make new artifact without replacing old one, is it possible?

2 How to add some artifact in to hero inventory on all maps (even old ones) and in all spawns (even when you buy hero in tavern)? Is it possible?
The idea is to make some artifact appears in hero inventory every time you start the game with this hero, the other heroes must not have this artifact in their inventory, unless off course they didn’t find them on map.

3 Third and the most important question, how to add an effect to wearable artifact? Remember “angel wings” has one. I want to make other effects for other artifact, of course without adding ability to fly to them. How to make this, is it possible?

Great thanks if somebody answer to me, and apologize for my English, I’m not native English speaker, so It’s really bad sometimes.((

Unlock new creatures in duel preset mode

Hello. Sorry for my english At the present time created a huge amount of neutral creatures, are

available in the map generator, but not available in the duel preset editor. There is a desire to create a hero with third upgrades. Maybe with new neutrals units (not likely this will be balanced). I  find how to change the level of the hero, but could not find now add the ability to select all creatures. Is this possible? All creatures available in map editor with determined force. If possible, is there someone who can write a mod, cleaning restriction on the choice of only creatures of the city? Or new preset editor,maybe based by old editor.

In this case asking one of the modders on this board is your best bet. Psathka or Fauch, alternatively you can review the information in the NCF thread (also on this board) and ask questions there.

and yeah Zidane i gues you can type any creature (using his script name) in .xdb file of your duel hero in notepad

But you need a balance. I want to type creatures calm until the calculator adds their cost. In. xdb does not take into consideration. So I ask, can anyone unlock a ban on creatures only from their castle. When they are selected in the editor will be given their cost, thus taking into account the balance.

I don't think you can add artifacts, or even modify existing artifact effects, as they are hard-coded in the game.

You can only modify primary skill bonuses of artifacts, but not any other specific effect.


Anyway, is it just me, or is this forum software really terrible? I feel like we're in the 90's.
