I'm happy to say that I am finished with my entries's creatures, hitstory/timeline, town/flag/thingy, and the rest. All I need to do now is type up the fundamentals and I am done! Like a plate of brownies when you have them in the oven and then pull out the toothpick and its clean. That's how I'm done.

I've updated the index, but may have missed some. Please check that your entry is linked on the index, and check this link to make sure it is working properly! {HCM me with the link if it's missing - or post it in this thread}
As for judging, you are totally correct, we will have to extend - people will have until midnight {23:59:59} on Monday 31 March to judge as many entries as they can Please use the following criteria:
Judging
Cohesiveness: 10 points
Imagination/creativity/originality/wow factor: 15 points
Back story how well it expands on one of the HOMM universes: 10 points
Battle facetsIs there a variety of special aspects for each creature? Is it balanced? Would it be fun to play?): 10 points.
Discretionary: 5 points.can be awarded for extra effort, a creative emblem, an interesting twist on gameplay, or anything else the judge wants.

For the next 7 days, all members of HC have to opportunity to judge the towns. All you do is rate the town using the above criteria and post it in the town thread.
The number of towns judged by that member will determine how strongly their mark affects the total score {if you just judge one town then your vote isn't worth as much as someone who judged half, or all of them}.
The HC member votes are averaged and added to the judge's scores. The judge scores are an average of FoG, TDL, and my ratings of the town.

Well this is a bit vague, but seeing how I'm insanely in love with analyzing things I'll do. Of course, even if you didn't mention it, I'll assume that as a general rule no one can judge his/her own town.

Anyway, it's good to hear that you're going to be a judge.
This is actually a note for everyone: Please do a fair job, and read every entry to the detail. People may give marks according to first impressions without even reading the factions well enough. Take in mind that you have an effect on the contest, so consider every mark seriously.

Argh, I'm a total idiot. Why didn't I looked in the first page until now!...there were a throng of things that were useful to know. Ah, the hell with myself.
As for doing the judge, I'll be as fair as I can. Will I upset anyone, I apologize in advance. That said, I'll start as soon as possible, and judge the towns in the order they are listed in the index.

Best to hop around the list I would have thought, just in case everybody's marking changes in a similar fashion as they read over more and more factions...???
Surely allowing entrants to judge other factions allows them to drag down the marks of those other factions though?

If I understand how the system explained by kookastar is meant to work, the core is that while an entrant can lower the marks of a given faction, every entrant can do so as well. To bring it to extreme cases, I COULD post ten absolutely jerkish negative review for ten different faction - but that's not going to get me anywhere besides gaining me ten negative reviews in my own faction.
However, every entrant will be considered more reliable the more factions he reviewed. So, the purpose is to obtain a "everyone talks of everyone's faction" atmosphere. Everyone is encouraged to consider everyone's work, and to do so in the most responsible and unpartial fashion they can.
Also notice that moderators do exist. If someone proves no credible as a judges (ex. he/she puts every faction down for no reason, or the contrary, he/she makes generical enthusiastic comments for everyone alike) the mods could simply decide not to consider the comments relevant. As far as I understood, kookastar&co will play the arbiter's role, pretty much (notice how the votes will define only an half of the total final score) so let's trust them.

Yeah it's basically exactly as momo said, I think we can pretty much trust that most people here judging {especially the entrants} will take this seriously. It's not a quick thing to do, you have to actually care to bother judging I think... anyway, it will be obvious is a judgement is way off and it will be scrutinised. I think it is important that everyone has their say though

{btw the judging system is similar to the first ICTC if you want to check it out, the algorythm deal is there to address the issue of one judge wonders }

Well, I bet this granted at least the negative replies of two judges on me[/jk].
Ok, great, I'll start judging by now. I already red some factions in details but, as I said I'll follow the order of the index. Sidenote: it's night here in Italy, so I will stop at some point to sleep. I don't think a sleep-deprived judge would do a good work, anyway.

I would rate and judge the factions, but I will be honest. I would give them all too high of scores. I learned the hard way I am not the best judge  . So since I would give everybody high marks, that would pretty much negate them.  .
