Before the deadline every judge should check their ratings once more. I've seen some miscalculations here and there.

The deadline is almost expired here in Italy (it's late evening of the 29th) and I marked all factions but three: the Rift by Cepheus, the Glacier by Lord Evil, and the Troll Burrows by crepus. I'll be unable to post until the day after tomorrow, so these three will stay unmarked.
I feel really sorry for this with all three entrants. Accept my apologize.
That said, the day after tomorrow (monday) I'll post a list of the faction I marked, with marks. This, I hope, will make the judge's job easier.
See you all later folks.

Thanks to all the people who are putting in the time to judge these
As you will appreciate, it takes a long time when you do it properly. The judge's marks probably won't be finalised for up to 2 weeks so don't stress ok!
As for the judging deadline for guest judges, it's midnight GMT

Sadly, I have two factions to leave unmarked too. The sanctuary and the Clockwork. Because I have to go to work now and won't be home before 5 am, 30th March. It takes truly a lot of time to judge all the factions. And I would really appreciate to mark the last two ones too as soon as I'm coming home again. Isn't there the possibility to set the deadline some hours or one day later?
The official judges are saying theirselves that they need at least two weeks. We guest judges haven't had only one. Just 5 days!

I admit that it would take me two weeks to finish marking all the entries, or even more. And besides, those judges' markings means so much, and you really want every one of them to well considered before posting. The conclusion is: don't press the judges.

and there are more than 40 factions. 8 to 9 per day. and some of them take a really long time to read and judge.

I am marking the factions alphabetically, but unfortunately I don't manage to mark all entries - it's simply too much.
Good luck for the other judges!

Does that mean, that the judges will mark 2 weeks long? Just to clearify things...

To all competitors:
I very much apologize for not posting my ratings - by now - but I didn't realise that there is the multi-post restriction. I wanted to post all my ratings at the same time, thus nobody could feel disadvantaged. I've sent an e-mail to kookastar and my ratings are in the hands of kookastar now. I hope she will post the ratings for me because it was a very hard work (but thrilling, too) to do the marking.
However, I didn't manage to mark two factions: The Glacier & The Tower. I ask you, Lord_Evil & Card_Ximinez, to forgive me, but it simply was impossible to me to manage it in time.
So, I'm looking forward to the judges' ratings.

Well, I've marked all the factions with help of my also posted rating system. I think, my ratings are quiet transparent and objective since I minized the gut feelings within my marking. However, each entry was marked following the same criteria, thus nobody should be disadvantaged.
Of course, the differences are interesting sometimes, but I tried to explane almost every mark. Apart from that "The Den", for example, has got almost the same rating from me as it got from the other judges.

Tobius, I don't think you even read my entry.
You wrote I took too much from H5, while I took NOTHING from there. I invented everything new, all the system, new heroes skills new abilities, there are no creature abilities taken from H5, and believe me, it was hard to make up all these.
You wrote that I didn't explain how the creatures are related to each other. And I'm thinking: OMG, I did explain all that!
So honestly, I don't think you read my entry, if you missed so many imporant things.

Look at the BwoFestria and you won't say that again. There my vote is even lower than Tobius'!
And I see there is no extention of the deadline. It's a pity whereas Momo, Tobius and I are almost through with our judgings, just two or three left each. One day... One damned day... But okay. This are the rules.

OK in fitting with the first ICTC YOU CAN NOT COMMENT about guest judge marks until this contest is OVER!
If you have a complaint send it to me and we will investigate it, but there is to be no discussion from contestants, no clarification, nothing - the entry must stand for what it is
Let people have their say, we do not always agree with one another.
This thread is not the place to complain about judging either - do it via hcm, to me, it's hard enough to get people to judge as it is.
Speaking of which, to take the pressure off judges, I will extend the guest judge deadline for another week so
Everyone have your say, there is 7 days from now to be a guest judge!
thanks

Lol is this some kind of a judge sub-contest?
Hey, that might be a fun idea. Hand out secondary judge-awards, like
-Golden Bunny (the nicest judge award)
-Golden Stalin (the harshest judge award)
-Golden Platypus (the most confusing judge award)
-Golden Consis (the most explanatory judge award)
etc.

If I can express my thouights, fellow visitor judges, it's not really a good idea to give always much higher mark than others, or much lower mark than others. Your mark is worth more for how much it's differentiated from your other marks.
It's statistical.
If I mark, say, every faction with a 10/50, all I obtain is to set EVERY faction on an average lower score - which means my marks didn't impacted the competition that much (same could be said if I mark everyone with, say, a 50/50), and I'm probably going to draw negative attention in doing so.
If you accept my advices, it's better not to have a specified policy ("I'll give very low marks" or "I'll give generally kind marks") because it lowers the value of your mark. Try to review each faction indipendently and objectively.
