((Okay, serious update today.  ))
Stacey, Mina and Misty:
Mina and Misty tend their Berry plants and rejoin Stacey in the ruins. The three proceed through the newly-opened leaf door down a curving set of steps into another chamber. They’re too deep in the ruins for any daylight to reach them here; fortunately Stacey’s lamp illuminates the chamber nicely. Another door and more glyphs take up the far wall (how big was this place?) and more debris covered the floor.
There were also four more glyphs in the four corners as before: M, A, R, G.
((I’ll just post the letters for the four glyphs from now on since Mytical can’t see the pics. The doors unfortunately I can’t do much about at this point; I’ll try and make sure future puzzles don’t use any pictures.  ))
The girls also find a few more salvageable items among the debris.

Stacey checks the book, and slowly pieces together the majority of the first word, before figuring out the whole.
"Metronome...."
The following words are much quicker to come up with.
".is...the..key."
She then takes another look at the door.
"Metronome? It almost looked like a snowflake, or stars, like swift. So, does this mean metronome is the only thing that can open this thing up, breaking the rules of the others? Hmmm."
Stacey checks her pokedex for information on metronome.
"Maybe swift will work..."

I ought to be better at this, it’s not like I’ve never been to the Ruins of Alph, Mina remarked to herself. “We can try if you’d like,” she said aloud, thoughtfully. “Want to give it a shot?”

"Well, I suppose. As long as you two are fine with it. Though, the more I look at it, the more possibilities I see. Now, I kind of see that it could possibly be a fighting move. Like, several punches, or something. Or something like psychic waves coming out, signifying a psychic move. We could go back to one of those other rooms too, to try something out, if we're more sure about them than this one. Otherwise, if not, and neither of you are sure, I may just try something."

Mina fingered Houndour and Pidgey’s Pokeballs before calling them both out. Might as well be prepared…
Houndour went on alert; Pidgey fluttered over to Mina and fluffed up his feathers, letting out an unhappy coo. Mina reached out and scratched him reassuringly.
“I’m sorry my dear, but I wouldn’t have you out if I didn’t think I’d need you.”
Pidgey cooed again, still looking unhappy but he nodded.

You walk around a little more and come across a couple of kids playing.
“I can do better than that.”
“No you can’t!”
“Yes I can!” The boy picks up a stone and throws it. “See?”
“Oh yeah, well watch this…”
They continue on in this vein for a while before they notice you. “Hey mister! Want to play with us?”

Zack takes note of the boy and thinks to himself: "Oh well, at least this is an excellent time to get to know some people! Hopefully this way I'll get a psyduck with encore."
Zack goes slowly, but steady over to the boy, then says:
"Hi, my name is Zack. You seem to be a pokemon trainer. You see, I've this psyduck. I need to breed it with a slakoth with encore, to get encore on the new psyduck. You wouldn't happen to either be interested in helping me out yourself on this matter, or maybe you know about others, who'd have interested in this?"

So if you got a Stunky I’ll trade ‘im to you for it. He doesn’t do anything though…”

"A stunky..." Zack thinks to himself.
Taking out his pokedex, Zack asks it to give him information about the pokemon, stunky.
"A poison/dark type, and one I've never seen before" Zack thinks to himself. "Hopefully those looks are decieving, otherwise it can get to be one smelly adventure, oh well, I'm in for it!"
Zack presses the buttons for the location of stunky, while the pokedex works, Zack assures the boy, the next time they'll meet, Zack will have a stunky and asks the boy, if he regulary goes to the mart, in case for Zack to be able to find him again, when he's captured that stunky.

"Staryu, you know the tactic, knock stunky down in low health using water gun and if you happen to be in danger yourself, don't hesitate on using recover! Then when stunky looses the will to battle, I'll catch it, and we'll have a new friend for the boy in the mart!"
