When their ice type goes down, the trainer then sends out a Stunky and calls for it to use Poison Gas.

I'm okay with skipping ahead to which ever pokemon Pinklady would like to capture.
I would also like to find out what the mysterious "log" is, the buzzing noise, and the collapsed tent scrounger.
Trapinch shall be nicknamed "Pinchy".

When the two continue onwards and later hear the Cosmas, Pinklady perks up.
"I've never heard a Pokémon that sounds like that... what is it?"
Before Matt answers, Pinklady takes the lead and heads off in the direction of the Cosmas sing-off.

Fixed Cosmas M2 HP; it should be at full health.

You arrive to find a pair of Cosmas perched on opposing rocks that jut out of the grassland.
Both are belting out their songs with gusto.
After a moment you realize there’s also a third Cosmas on the ground between the first two. Pokédex scans reveal the two singers are males and the watcher is a rarer female; she’s edging toward the less robust of the two males, but his rival has noticed and by the slant in his overlarge eyes this could end badly in a moment.

The pride of Electric types eye you warily as they go by, until one member of the pride notices your attention, stops abruptly, and growls in your direction. It looks too big to be a Shinx, then little angry sparks along the creature’s fur show its outline a little better and it becomes clear it’s a Luxray. The rest of the pride stops and starts to circle around you instead.

The ‘log’ rises up from the ground and sways menacingly, what little light there is glints off enormous tusks – no, fangs; the Pokédex identifies it as a Seviper.

((Buzzing noise: ))
The buzzing noise gets louder as you get closer, but strangely there are no other noises to go with it – no rustling grass, disturbed gravel or sounds of movement at all. Then a break in the grass and scrub reveals an oddly-shaped mound: it’s large – over six feet ((2 meters)) long - and green and it stinks to high heaven. It doesn’t move at all at your approach.
On closer inspection, the fly-buzzing sound turns out to be actual flies swarming around it. The Pokédex says it’s a male Flygon, and it’s dead. One eye shield was smashed in and there are long gouge marks down the wing on that side, and an unhealthy list of other injuries litter the rest of the body. Your Pokédexes are also able to tell you the wounds were inflicted by a Shadow Pokémon.
One surprise: the corpse is curled protectively around a number of round objects the Pokédexes identify as eggs. Two of them remain healthy and viable; a third registers as still alive, but sickly and unlikely to survive to hatching.
((Collapsed Tent: ))
There’s a riiiip and a clang inside the tent and then something snarls, clawing its way out. The first thing you see is black, somewhat cylindrical and very solid looking – until it hits the ground and is revealed to be a pot, with a very angry Linoone under it. Its fur is matted and it tears at the tent like a rabid thing. The Pokédex says it’s wild, but it also says the Pokémon has stat boosts consistent with having had a trainer.
