((Yeah. Planning for the entrance that likely won't happen. Was thinking about our three characters, and who they would likely most represent, from the first season of the anime. Then thought of Ash vs Gym Leader Brock.))
Stacey was a little stunned, seeing the pounding Phoebe had just received. It had saved them for now, at the very least though.
"Rattata, use hyper fang on the other Rattata! Grimer, pound the Rattata that just got quick attacked!"

Eyes wide as she realizes the Grunts’ strategy—spam attacks at one Pokemon until enough hit that it goes down—Mina orders Oodramer to evade and calls for another Twister.

It’s super effective!
Rattata B uses Quick Attack! ((Roll = 46))
Oodramer is hit for 12 damage!
It’s super effective!
Poliwhirl uses Body Slam! ((Roll = 47))

Pidgey uses Twister! ((Roll = 95, 31, 48))
Geodude C is hit for 19 damage!

Rattata almost misses his target, but the other Rattata isn’t quite nimble enough to get away. Stacey’s Pokemon hits hard enough to knock the opposing Normal type down and out in one hit.

One of the Grunts with a knocked out Geodude calls out another Rattata; the Taskmaster looks expectantly at the others with unconscious Pokemon and is met with a trio of helpless shrugs. The Taskmaster says something in a low voice and the three Pokemon-less Grunts nod and take off.

The Chansey hops up and down and looks thoughtful. She chatters something at the girl in cheerful Pokespeak, which the girl then translates:
“She says she’s not sure, but she thinks that it’s a Fire type.”

Christian:
You look around the storage area, carefully avoiding the attention of any Pokemon you find.
A steady hammering sound and the occasional cry of an Aipom leads you to a grate in one wall. The Pokemon must have heard you coming because it’s gone when you arrive, but signs of its presence remain in the numerous dent marks on and around the grate. As you leave the immediate vicinity, you can hear the hammering start back up again.
The door in one wall—the only one without any special locks on it—is open a few scant inches, and cold fog drifts out. A quick glance inside shows rows of metal wire shelves holding plastic packets, glass jars filled with slimy looking pieces and dead Pokemon in marked plastic bags. Frost has gathered on the shelves and floor, pristine except for a few bite marks on some of the nearby shelving, and tracks the Pokedex identifies as coming from a Sableye.
You actually see the last two. The Poochyena has chased down the Skitty and scared it up a shelf near where you came in; the Normal type is perched a few shelves up, hissing fearfully, while the Dark puppy yips and barks at it from the floor. The pair of them are very loud.

"Oh NO you DON'T." Misty sees the goons taking off and the fact that the others are ganging up on Mina's Pokemon. She throws out Growlithe, trying to aim to block off the grunts. She hated using Growlithe like that, but there was little choice. Hopefully seeing Growlithe, knowing it would be weak to ground attacks, at least one of the geodude will go after it.
"Ok Evan come here." she whispers to Evan to intercept the poliwhirls next attack, whatever it might be or whichever it aims for. "Stripes, time to finish off the Poliwhirl. Use headbutt on it! Growlithe, stop those goons, use Agility!"

He sat down on a chair. "Is that a special Chansey, or can all of them sense things like that? Does it have any more abilities?"
His stomach rumbled, and he grimaced slightly. "And is there free food here at the pokemon-center?"

She smiles as your stomach rumbles. “They have a little kitchen in the back for the staff. You should probably try the Market if you need food to travel with, but I’m sure the Center won’t miss one meal. Here, I’ll show you where it is.”
The girl and her Chansey lead you off to the kitchen.

Misty grins, but realises that she has only bought some time. "Growlithe, don't let anybody leave! Evan, Stripes come here." She whispers a change in plans "Evan, go outside and use moonlight to heal yourself. Stripes, tackle the Poliwrath."
She turns to the taskmaster "You might as well give up now. You're running out of pokemon and we have only just began."

Both Rattata prepare their strongest Quick Attacks, but the Grunt’s Pokemon isn’t watching where it’s going. It trips when Stacey’s Rattata is almost on top of it, and the two Pokemon collide head first—Stacey’s Pokemon is braced for the impact and emerges unscathed, but the other Pokemon goes tumbling across the ground unconscious, and is recalled.
Growlithe meanwhile circles the Grunts, growling and barking whenever one looks like they’re about to make an escape attempt. The Grunts, for their part, are watching their Taskmaster nervously, knowing how outgunned they’ll be if their leader runs out of Pokemon.
Poliwhirl uses Body Slam! ((Roll = 7))

“This battle isn’t over yet, little girl!” The Taskmaster grins, reaching for his belt. The impact is lost somewhat however, as he apparently can’t find whatever-it-is and has to dig through the inside of his vest for a moment, dropping oddments out of some inner pocket until he finds what he’s looking for. At last he pulls out a Great Ball.
“Ah-ha, here it is! Moghog, I choose you!”
The Pokemon that appears is over eight feet long and looks like a boar carved from dark wood. It snorts, spraying sawdust and pawing the ground.

I have a Jigglypuff, but she’s kind of shy around people, so I don’t leave her out much. How about you?” she asks interestedly. “You said you like Fire types, do you train a lot of them?”

You approach the Skitty and the Poochyena, since they’re close by and rather easy to find. ((I’m assuming you meant the closest of the Pokemon, period; if you meant the closest between Sableye and Aipom let me know and I’ll edit.)) The two Pokemon are so wrapped up in their spat that they don’t even realize you’re coming until you step out from behind a pile of boxes. Then both Pokemon swivel to face you with fur bristling, making sounds that could be interpreted as either anger or fear.

"Not especially. You still are very outnumbered." she wanted to know what moves this pokemon had, but there would be only one way to do that. "Stripes, return." She would keep stripes as back up if things went south. "Ditto, go! Transform into Moghog when you can! Meanwhile, though I think it is a bad idea...Growlithe, let them go. Ember on the Moghog! Evan, Tail whip on it too!"

“Houndour come here! I need you out here,” Mina calls over her shoulder. She sends out her Sandshrew. “Sandshrew, I need you to look after the boxes in the mean time in case we get goons breaking in, okay?”
Both Pokemon nod and take their respective positions.

Pidgey uses Gust!

Growlithe uses Flame Wheel! ((Roll = 16—so close!  ))

The Grunts scatter as their guard veers off to fight the Moghog, probably knowing they aren’t going to get another chance.

The Bandra Taskmaster bites off a curse and calls back his Pokemon, then runs after his underlings.

Stacey recalled Rattata, and sent out Slugma.
"Grimer, disable it! Slugma, use Ember!"((Was debating if I wanted Slugma out or not, and I did.))
The battle was over with before the two slow pokemon even had a chance to do anything.
"Well, so much for that. Oh well. Return."
She calls them both back.
"Alright, nurse. You can stop your frantic running about back there. They're gone now. You can see to the injuries that were taken, though."
