Really liking Eden so far. Very well drawn, the action scenes are very impressive. Kenji is badass.
EDIT:
Daayuuum... martial art scene... mangaka knows his joint-manipulation techniques... extremely nicely drawn.

Eden is pure awesome.
Got to love it. 
The maker is pretty damn good with a lot of things. One of the few series where knife use is done right. Overall it seems like the guy did his research for things before putting them in.

Just watched A Wind Named Amnesia.
It is quite unique one. Not for action but if you have some time I can recommend it. It isn't that good but there aren't many better than it in it's genre so go for it. The soundtrack rules btw.
English acting is okay but the translation sucks so jap dub with subs is the way to go.

Oh yeah, I also watched Darker than Black OVAs and Season 2. Season two isn't bad but it isn't good either. If you've got nothing better to do then watch it.

Now downloading Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa in 720p...
Should be done in... 33 hours.
Story is likely meh but the mecha action will be oh so sweet.

Just watched the Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works movie. Sure the animation is cool and all, but oh boy will you be confused if you haven't read the visual novel or something, for the pace is just relentless. I'd say that it's mostly for the marvel of seeing the cool scenes from the game animated and shiny, cause the story is condensed into quite a mess.

I'm excited for that. If they were going to produce yet another Golden Arc animation and then just stop with it I would have been really annoyed, seeing as how they've done it already. It would just be the same thing only prettier.

I pretty much hated the original series, not only was it butt ugly compared to Miura's magic but it was also dumbed down in some parts. Not to mention how they removed puck and the skull knight

The skull knight wasn't in the anime? Are you sure? I thought I remembered him.
I saw the anime way back in 2002 or so when it was released here, before I read the manga, so it didn't bother me. When I later read the manga I had to adjust to the new characters they threw my way.
TBH, while I don't outright hate Puck, I never saw him as a very important character, except he might serve more of a purpose in the near future if they ever reach Elfheim sometime within the next 50 volumes

Just finished watching Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa.
This is as far away from complicated plots and characters ya can get really. Frontier just doesn't give a ****, it just wants to deliver the most epic mecha battles and singing idols that anime has ever seen... AND IT DELIVERS.
Alto now wears a longcoat... instant +50 manliness points gained. Good work Alto.
Wait what the ****?! Why you do this to yourself Alto?! -100 damnit!!

Trust me, this looks absolutely amazing in motion.
Alto's new VF-29 Durandal is BADASS. Best parts from the VF-25 mixed with Isamu's bird... it's one epic maneuverable Valkyrie.
Brera doesn't lag behind... he sports some badass maneuvers in this one. Notice how the pilot is fully detailed and ****, I didn't even notice this until I took the screenshot. QUALITY.
Damn right. That text is the lyrics for the song in the background btw, Brera doesn't talk when he kicks ass.
Piloting a 500m tall mech with a wheel... eff yeah. Like I said, Frontier doesn't give a ****.
3 MACROSS CLASS BATTLESHIPS AREN'T EPIC ENOUGH FOR THIS FIGHT! LET'S ADD A HUNDRED!
It's even more of a thrill ride than the first movie. I'm sad that I couldn't get my hands on the 5GB version, just have the 2GB one but it still looks damn amazing. The amount of money poured into the animation must be fricking insane.
If you let yourself just be swept away by the amazing animation quality, great songs and AWESOME BATTLES (seriously, best mecha battles ever) you're in for a treat.

The song quality was worse than in the series (the only good songs were the reused ones), the plot was underwhelming, the characters were meh... It had no redeeming features.

Highly disagree about the songs. Ranka gets some actual good songs and some new outfits (finally), and the lead Valkyrie song played during the finals is damn awesome. The concerts are amazing as well.
The plot is good enough to serve as an excuse to launch epic mecha battles coupled with awesome singing into your face. That's all there is to it, and Frontier doesn't need anything else.
Sheryl is awesome as always, Ranka is way less annoying, Alto is less indecisive... it's all better. I find them all likeable.
You're expecting things from Frontier that it simply doesn't want to deliver I think. You're hardly the target group, I imagine. How you can possibly say that it has no redeeming features after watching the animation quality is lightyears beyond me.
I'm kinda surprised that you watched the movie after what you felt about the series.
