Pretty much yes.
I'm not well versed in this kind of anime but the randomness of it is kinda hilarious.
For instance, why does that statement make him hurl blood all over the room? o___O
Haha I feel like I'm ruining my anime selfesteem by watching this after a masterpiece like Broken Blade.

Did you watch the anime? I never got over the slideshow animation. A shame, I liked the style otherwise.
Oh yes, she looks so totally undead it's awesome. The whole chapter has that nice eerie death looming over your shoulder written all over tokiwa and kasuga's face. Just chilling

Nah never watched it, heard mixed reports about it. Love the manga to bits though.
This and Kokou no Hito might be my two favourite mangas.
Maybe I just like anxiety  trying to find your place in life and all dat ****.

So like two years ago I thought that Oreimo was a cute story about a dude and his sister becoming friends - UNTIL I WATCHED THE SECOND SEASON. My Japanese cartoon can't possibly be this unsatisfying. My Kuroneko dreams have been broken, but what was it for? IT WAS ALL JUST TO BREAK EVEN MORE HEARTS AND DREAMS!
I feel really bad now.
At least Fate Kaleid Liner Prism Illya was good.

Sooo I recently finished watching Hellsing Ultimate and it was... quite nice actually. Evident gore part aside (these things don't tend to impress me) the story was great, and I really liked that they were not 20 mins videos but longer, over 50 I think. There were some parts that annoyed me. There should have been a side story about werewolves and other things, but I guess the situation would have turned into something too cliche. Anyway the captain was still a werewolf, an interesting one I might add. Also, perhaps the most OP char was Schrodinger. The way he was used against Alucard was... well I must admit I taught it was brilliant at first, but he only fed him his powers in the end. Since he couldn't have died unless he wanted it, he was far superior than Alucard. I expected more of Integra, she wasn't half as badass as she acted, I didn't liked her much. Alucard himself was a pitiful vampire who hated himself for becoming one. He was a fail and he knew it, the part about being Hellsing's pet still escapes me. Then there's Anderson, the iscariot monk. Honestly I expected more of him. And of Walter, thinking like a kid up until that age, pathetic. I don't even wanna talk about Seras. She was good but.. meh..
And of course, my favourite character of all, The Major. He wasn't a psychopath that sought war at all.. well maybe he was, but it was all for the sake of killing a monster, as he put it. A fascinating antagonist, more to him than what meets the eye.
Now I'm watching Ef - A Tale of Melodies, started interesting (at ep. 3). After it, should I watch the original Hellsing too? Is it worth it?

Sooo I've finished watching Ef - A Tale of Melodies and I've watched the other one too, before Hellsing. And all I can say is... wtf, am I turning into a girl?! 4.5/5 sheesh, got so soft these days, I couldn't even resist shedding a few tears. Great series.

I've caught up in Naruto. I think post-timeskip is better than pre-timeskip, because there's more focus on the cooler characters and less of Naruto's stupidity. It's not an artistic masterpiece like Bleach, but it's enjoyable.

Naruto took a 3 weeks break if I'm not mistaking. And after the last episode (which was quite nice, with Tobi's identity being revealed) I was really looking forward for the next one, when Madara finally came battle Naruto too.
Anyway, after sulking for almost a week because of that Ef - A Tale Of Melodies anime and the tragic ending for Yuuky or w/e her name was, I started watching Monogatari series and I finished all 4 anime chapters today. Bakemonogatari, Nekomonogatari, Nisemonogatari and finally Monogatari Second Season. And I can say it made me really happy. The stories had good plots, nice characters but kinda hard to understand at a certain point, and some really cool action/thriller scenes.
Oddly, I didn't like Araragi that much, and he's supposed to be the main character. Not even Senjougahara... well, maybe just a bit more than Araragi though. The fire sisters, Mayoi, Nadeko and maybe even Suruga reminded me why I sometimes don't find adolescent characters too appealing, they were quite booring in some situations. Shinobu was even worse, that high and mighty attitude really stepped on my nerves, but I guess in this respect she was a good character.
The ones I did like without a doubt were Hanekawa, to a certain extent, and the "specialists", Kaiki being by far the most interesting of them all, followed by Oshino and then maybe Gaen, though Gaen was so arrogant and the "I know everything" type she made me sick. I expect her to be an antagonist in the series to come, though I'm not sure of it, it's just a guess...
And this time I actually enjoyed the nude scenes but that's probably because I tend to enjoy playful foreplay, or something like that... Anyway, Hanamonogatari is scheduled to start airing in 2014, meaning this year. And I expect the movie Kizumonogatari to be released this year also, so I'll keep an eye on that too.
Ok, now... what's next... any recommends?

Kanon, Clannad are pretty classic tear jerker animes, so is Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.
Shakugan No Shana is a nice contemporary fantasy feel good story.
Hourou Musuko and Usagi Drop are both AMAZING light drama series.
Oh and, how old are you?

Because I wouldn't recommend school days for the wee lil kids but if you've not seen it, you're really missing something anime has to offer.
You will probably not like it, but it should give you a new look on things...
I think DG is more familiar with the attack of the titans, mvass too.
