Finished Golden Time and I can't help but compare it with my life. How we make friends and invest into our friendship only to be separated by the movement of this world. How we make promises never to break and then we grow cold and careless and break them. How compromise enters our life bit by bit until we become something we don't even recognize anymore, and the worst, we don't even give a crap about it. We're just... defeated zombies, alive but dead on the inside.

I really hate myself right now. Excuse me guys for telling you all this random crap, I'll just shut up for now.

Well, you either accept it and make peace with yourself or you do something about it.

Been re-reading change123, fairly lulzworthy ^^ A bit lame at times but fun overall.

Making peace with it is admitting defeat. I know it's comfy to go with the flow, actually my being is very predisposed to that. I'm a very comfy person, no, I'm a completely lazy person. But if I have to fight, then I'll fight. I don't want to be an ignorant, or not care about others. snow that, I wanna feel alive.

Brilliant Naruto episode, 392. The conversation between the monk and Shukaku was the best part. So heartwarming I couldn't help shedding some tears.

Bleach manga was interesting too. Predicting Yhwach will transform into a monster too in the end, like Aizen did.

Finished the Berserk movies. They are cool in their own way and they prove a bit more close to the manga in some aspects, but the feel is radically different from the one in the anime series. It also skips a lot of stuff, go figure. But I enjoyed it regardless, made me grin a lot.

Now watching Ao Haru Ride. Guess school romance and slice of life is the flavor of the season. My season.. I like it a lot. Exactly the break I needed.

Ao is quite a generic shoujo. Cinderella story.

Reread the last pages a bit and need to mention something.

Tsar-Ivor said:
Just finished Fate/zero and Fate/Stay night. If I had to summarize the story it would not be as epic as it is in my mind, the music just renders my heart, it brings me to tears on its own. Couple of examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, special man tears, 5, and again :'|

Fate/Stay Night was probably the first anime that impacted me in a serious emotional way. The ending was so fantastic that it made me think about human condition, unfulfilled love and dreams and such, issues that left me drained and depressed for several months. It's one of the best animes out there, I just hope Unlimited Blade Works is the same, I'll probably watch it after it finishes airing.

Finished Ao Haru Ride and I gotta say it was pretty good. Shoujo slice of life romance, a pretty powerful combination. Triggered a lot of sentiments in me. I finally learned some things about what girls feel and think when being in love I hope they're accurate. One of the more down to earth animes I watched. And I enjoyed the graphic style a lot, especially the eyes. Would rate 4.5/5.

Now I've started watching Black Lagoon. First episode seemed promising, let's see how the action develops

Yea, that one. I was still in highschool at the time. I remember the colleagues telling me I looked as I was very troubled. When I told them they laughed and tried to cheer me up, but I still felt sad. So sad. Just now I watched the last episode again, to reconfirm it, and it's still there. A love unfulfilled and the end of Arthuria it's simply too much for me. Couldn't help my tears again... So I just wanted to tell Tsar that I share his feelings about it. The drama and the music are really beautiful.

Do hate how Shirou just carried on like the muppet he is, if it were me I'd have probably plunged something spiky into my chest, after all, it would've been the perfect way to end, especially when you consider character arcs (he came to the same conclusion as his father, learned the same lesson as his future self without undergoing the pains, same as his father, and should die after coming full circle, that and the massive depression he ought to feel). Besides, what happened to love is the death of duty?

Anyway, I loved the character development, if only Shirou had a slightly more mature voice actor that synchronized with what he was preaching it would've been perfect, as it is, he sounded too pretentious, and well, "douchy". Regardless of that, I loved it in a strange sappy kind of way.

Also the new anime will follow the bladeworks route, from what I read (and the movie that I watched) it's my least favourite of routes, sure Shirou is around 50% less 'douchy', but it's not enough to justify some of the weird plot holes and annoyances. Like Shirou being the fool he is, beating not only his future-self, but Gilgamesh too. Tis was too much for me, especially after re-watching fate/zero, it just puts everyone to so much shame, not in the least Gilgamesh.

You'll absolutely love it. A lot of subtext and references, and some really good philosophical topics. And the character relations are so well made. Easily in my top 5 best animes.

Well I already watched the first season of Lagoon and I guess it's good. I liked ep. 7 especially with Rock standing up to Revy and saying what he thought, rather than putting up with all her bull**** after that submarine incident. Some nice character interaction I must admit and some pretty hilarious references (terminator, lol). But idk why you'd put it top 5, action's pretty cheap overal, and there's a lack of quality in other departments too. But don't get me wrong, I still liked it I'm watching the second season now actually.

@Tsar, I agree with everything you said. I couldn't believe Shiro's reaction myself. Saber was gone forever and his dream to save the world was over. How could you put a smile on your face the very next day after all that happened?! The voice acting was bad indeed, the same actor voices Sasuke in Naruto Shippuden and Ishida in Bleach if I recall correctly, and a voice like those would've been a lot better.

About Bladeworks, I haven't seen it and I don't think it'll ever be as good as the True finish either. Shiro beating Gilgamesh and his future self is quite laughable. But I'll give it a try anyway.

Ah my mistake, I thought that you watched it. Personally I just want to forget it, not necessarily because it's "bad" or anything, just don't want it to tarnish my feels for F/SN.

Tried Vampire Knight. Know this is one of them standard manga reads that I see in top-lists here and there but I haven't given it a shot myself.

I actually really like it, mainly cuz vampires. Artstyle is so-so kinda standard shoujo but still... feels like characters have potential.
