OMG

I'm just sad, depressed and angry... No, not angry, I'm furious! I can't believe my own eyes. Ok, i understand elves, demons, necropolis mix, orcs and humans. But,excuse me, what is a faceless?!It's a ghost without face? It's a human who has serious face injuries? I know that Faceless was a God for Dark Elves, but a faction made of Gods? It makes no sense to me. Lizardmens... Lizard Warrior, Lizard Archer , Lizard Shaman... If you like cities full of lizards...well i just can't argue. Ogres and trolls -  I just love to see two almost identical factions. I'm thinking about orcs and that ogre/troll city. It's hilarious. I'm almost sure that the difference between them will be colour of skin or different weapons -_- Beastmen. So werewolves, centaurs, harpies, minotaurs packed in one city? Perfect. The hero will be "Beastman tamer". His racial skill -  Beast Training - harpies evolves to centaurs, centaurs to minotaurs, minotaurs to basiliskman...
I'm sure that everyone are looking forward to see elves and dwarves together in one town... Oh and wolves should be there too! Wolves are nevertheless very intelligent creatures! They fit great to a town with unicorns, elven archers and dragons! Dwarves imho doesn't need to be only a dwarf faction. In their town could live behemots, constructs, rocs.
There are lots of options. The only one positive side of this poll is the fact that ninjas,Egyptians, samurais and pirates didn't went high. People its Heroes of Might & MAGIC! Not Heroes of Earth History. I'm praying that ubisoft will never see this thread and never take any ideas from it.

It all looks good to me, but we must remember, some can be put into same faction.

Beastmen is imo lizardmen and beastmen - and when you think about it: Trolls and ogres is beast too along with orcs. So in some way there are less then 10 factions there.

Then as the guy above said: what are the faceless, if I understood it right, it is a "elven" race ... (dark elves?) .. A description would be nice

Faceless are something like this. Take a look and find out that you might even like the concept. And even if not, still take it easy.

Hmmm, I think you deserve respect for making all this, but:

I agree in some points with arcax: Trolls& Ogres as own faction, but no dwarves? Where should they be put this time, necropolis? I mean, that was one thing I had never understood in the older heroes game, one of the few points I critisized. They first put the dwarves into the nature-factions, together with elves and unicorns - huh, I shiver when I think about that - and then together with MAGES... To me, Dwarves are a stiff, strong, magic-mistrusting, mostly elf-hating, drinking people with great lore of either runes, forging, mechanics or some/all of them, who either live underground or in overground keeps with STRONG fortifications. I do not see that fit to elves or mages.

i think the problem is to just say: Race=faction. Why don't see how to get many of the races together in 12 factions?

Something like this (just an idea, i confess this is a compromiss between the statistic and what I'd like to see^^):

I guess we could leave out the factions which got less than 20%...

Faction 1: Nature-based Elves+Nature-based Centaurs+Nature-based beasts+nature-based faeries
Faction 2: Demons
Faction 3: Standard Necropolis+Werewolfs
Faction 4: Orc barbarians+Centaur Barbarians+Human Barbarian+Ogres/Trolls
Faction 5: Swamp Lizardmen+Swamp Beasts+Swamp Naga+Swamp Gnolls
Faction 6: Wizards, Constructs, Summoned Creatures
Faction 7: Faceless Dungeon
Faction 8: Standard human Town+Angels+Dragon Knights
Faction 9: Dark Elf Dungeon+Dungeon Beasts
Faction 10: Beastmen+Stronghold-based Beasts+Pirates/Rogues
Faction 11: Nature-based Elementals+Nature-based Humans+Nature-based Dwarves
Faction 12: Dungeon Dwarves+Inventors

Non-swamp Naga: I guess we can leave them, as we have swamp-nagas
Other Necropolis: Well, the standard mix has won, hasn't it?
Egyptian Themed: I don't know, could it be made together Necropolis Or so?

I do not know enough of the Free cities of the East to implement them, but they could be (allthough I wouldn't like it) an alternative to the dungeon dwarves, maybe together wth Inventors, Avians? We'd had to find a place for the dwarves then (at least in my opinion)

Oooooh I haven't seen that! So maybe the faceless aren't that bad...
But the dimensional thing is maybe too god-like. Or maybe HoMM 6 needs a god-like faction?

@Arcax: That's how Baklava made it. I just wanted to show you what we mean by "Faceless". See the concept behind it and not the details of the Portal.

@Jiriki: These are simply called "theme-based towns". You put a few races in every town according to the theme (Swamp, Death, Underground...) It's a possibility.

Well, I think its better than race-based towns, because it's more open and variable, or so I think.

Why shouldn't they?

Heroes fans are a large crowd that will probably buy another HOMM product. Listening to them is a smart thing to do.

Well, but who is it, who wants to buy the game? We - or at least we make a small percentage of the people who are gonna buy this game^^ - or not so small maybe

And, btw: Should we just say "Oh, they probably will not look at our ideas at all, why should we try to tell them what we want?" and turn away, just awaiting and accepting what they do? No, i think we at least should try to tell 'em.

There's no need - the basic list appears at the front page of Age of Heroes site which is like the New York Times of the Heroes fans. They wouldn't miss it.

Poor dwarves...kicked out from fortress just because of their appearence
in HoMM5... Everyone complains about them because in their town lives six types of dwarves and a dragon Am I the only one who like the HoMM5 dwarves? As I said earlier the dwarf town could be town for some dwarves, some runic golems, maybe even the behemots in HoMM6. Don't destroy the independence of these little guys

in my opinion keep the ones from ToE but add  at least 2 more factions and it would be a complete game. Needless to say the neutral creatures are almost done in the ncf thread. the real question is how the ubisoft -I pressume- heroes 6 will look like? because the V version has a lot of stuff
