If they could diversify the Naga some, not just the same snake-creature with different armor or something, than i would be perfectly fine with them. I think they are just as acceptable as a faction than any other humanoid being. The only thing seperating them from any other humanoid is their tails where legs are, but that shouldnt keep them from being their own race.

Exactly!  And if one group is Gorgons (Medusae) another is just a snake person with 2 arms (warrior), and a higher version with 6 arms (sorceress)

But people know about Nagas.  And anyway, they're not some new thing, observe:

Hmm... Well Nagas dont neccessary need 6 arms, judging by those pics even 2 armed nagas existed in those myths. If having them in H6, well whats the big deal? 1 naga creature with 2 arms could be upgrade to either a strong melee unit with 6 arms or ranged with 2 or mage naga with 2 or 6. No lack of possibilities here dude, also if naga wont be a race (since it was said they were sub-race), then it would fit even better. Though I would indeed see them as a race though and having looks to the one in H3 and in the first few pics of that article.

-naga it's just copied from warcraft and that's a bad thing-

Just because warcraft had them first it means noone else can without copying them? Warcraft had orcs, so does ToE, but they didnt "copy" them. These are mythological creatures, they dont have to be taken from another game because they are taken from their ancient roots.

As for land vs water, them being part of a water environment would add a very nice theme for their town and units along with possibly a great addition to the story. We already have castles on the ground, floating in the air, floating over lava, and hanging from a dungeon ceiling, but nothing with water. I for one think it could be cool having a water based town.

All nice and stuff... but why the complicated naga's if you can have mermen?

because Naga's are more imba then mermen...and mermen is overused and friendly, besides Naga already been in HoM&M5.

Btw, legs dosen't mean your neccesariely better(refering to the post where you said something like this: "Lets have a speci with legs to be the main" or something like that)

Um, when?

And Mermen are not as cool, that's why.  Besides, we have mermaids sitting on rocks at sea.  If they were a whole emipre/kingdom/faction/etc, why would they leave their people sitting on rocks?

Mermen is in no way the name of a race that would wage wars against demons and ghouls, or anyone at that matter. Naga sounds much MUCH better than mermen.

Agreed.

And while I'm on that (people forgive me, but I was watching Buffy) why mermen?  Is it so difficult to say merpeople?  Or Mermaids, which are rather better known, or Tritons?  Seriously, men are not so uberfully dominant.

Well man is just used as a general term for some races, like humanity can be called simply Man or Mankind.

Im not saying it has to be Naga, personally i think Tritons sounds great. I just want a naga-like faction without being named something as cartoony as mermaid and merman. It just doesnt fit.

I hope homm6 won't be like homm5, it must be an entire different story.

I completely agree, and thats why i want a naga race. The most theres been has just been one character in the Academy lineup, a creature that is no longer active. Though Naga is mentioned in the background, they are barely even mentioned in the actual games story, so i think adding a naga-like faction would be a great way to mix things up some.

Well again i dont really know what the aqualoi are, all i want is a naga-like themed city. Meaning it has Naga/medusa as at least one of the tiers and is purely water based. Whether you want to call it Aqualoi, tritons, naga, whatver, i dont care.

Hello!

The manner in which you've presented your faction is a little unique.  The syntax is all over the place which makes it quite difficult to read.  Names are long-winded and "the legions" is not an overly-original name.  Also, the lack of descriptions might incite some of our resident Namus-worshippers.  Other than that, I can't really find any problems.

Well, cheerio!
