I've been thinking more and more about this dying rpg lately, probably because I just finished Soul Drinker and Cain's Last Stand, and I was wondering if there was any interest in reviving this game.
Sadly, I didn't do a good job with it in the first place and there are several elements I would change. I'm ready to pick it back up if I have participants but I understand if it's better left dead.
If someone would prefer to take a stab at penning it, I'll have no problem stepping down as a DM either.

Ok, there is some interest. Now here's the big question. Do you think we should stick with the Inquisitor story with Atticus Nines and his lovable band of rogues or should I revamp it entirely?
Also, I thought of keeping it fairly close to the fluff. For example, if one of us goes and picks a fight with a Khornite Berserker using only a pistol, we're not going to walk. No Deus Ex for this rpg. Pick a fight with the wrong people and/or don't approach the situation carefully, you'll probably end up dead. I thought of doing this because it's Warhammer 40k and power should be respected.

I love that chapter. I remember my first time reading it and grinning when Lucci was absolutely destroyed by Luffy.

That sounds fair, you can't expect to face a greater deamon 1vs1 and have a chance of living more than a few seconds more (tops!!)
Seriously though, I think it's rather boring to juswt be able to be from the Imperium, but that's just me.

Yes your right, this chapter was so good! Even thou I liked the CP9 and kinda did not want them to lose.

I'm not entirely sure....
If we would not play "everyone-in-a-party" we would need a GM. It would also bring a large chance of power-gaming if several characters are on the opposite of a battle (as I can guess that we will if we're in different teams) And it would be quite boring if the characters didn't meet. The major question is if we can play as different species without mayhem breaking out.
And I know that this isn't much of a suggestion, it's more like another question. Can we play against each other without power-gaming or death of the intrigue.....

Unfortunately, the only armies that could probably work together without conflict would be the Imperial Guard, Sisters of Battle, Inquisition, and the Astartes. As to power gaming, that doesn't typically last very long in my games. However, someone would probably end up dead if you were to fight, unless they were Gorgotz.

That certainly would be a challanging character but really, I'd probably have to have your head explode after a little while. Such is the fate of most Wyrd Boyz and psykers.
Although it would be interesting to write an rpg from the Ork perspecitive. "Hold da pin, throw da otha part."

Details, I would at least take a couple of Space Marines (and Orks) with me.
If we're going to be all Imperial it's only the little trouble of finding a character. I would like to be some sort of psyker. Sadly I would have to be a OMGWTFIMBA Librarian if I would like a decent grasp of my powers. Or a "normal" psyker with a 9/10 chance of getting my head blown up

I don't know how we really could go about playing just as Kroot mercs. We could try creating a squad of kroot, tau, and vespids. That would be interesting. However, the drawback there would be everything for the Greater Good and just about everything in the universe could crush the Tau Empire currently.
Ok, we need to hash some things out.
1) The original story. Do we stick with it with? Yay or nay. Give your vote and your reason.
2) If we do decide on scrapping the original idea, how should we go about a new game? Do we each control a member of a particular race and go about our killing and what have you? Would it be better if I took the role more of a scholar retelling a campaign or a mysterious event? That way I wouldn't be powergaming and would subtly guide the battle. If we did do that, ultimately players would have to die. You'd be able to create new ones here and there of course.
3) If we go that route, who gets what? For myself, I'd probably play as the Necrons, seeing as how I usually end up controlling malevolent forces anyways.
One last thing, I finally got my P (short for PIN, short for personal identification number. I swear, of all the things for attorneys to abbreiviate, a three letter acronym was chosen...), Number, so I can finally draft documents with the force and effect of law.
