I can't see the necessity of moving white Queen. When the black Queen is in h5 and Knight on g4, what move or piece is threatening the white Queen so you must move it from d2 the next move?

g4 x h2. If you haven't moved the Queen yet, you can do it now but you will lose your Rook. And if you want to save the Rook, h2 f3 + applies fork at the Queen and King. You can try g2 x f3 but it leads to h5 x h3, which is extremely bad situation (exposed king, doubled pawns, checkmate at hand - yuck!)

g4-h2 attacks the Rook yes. But you can counterattack Bc2-Bd1, you are attacking black Queen now. If the Knight next goes
h2-f3+, the Bishob eats the Knight....

h5 h4. Queen is in even more dangerous position now and you gained nothing, yet lost the control of mid field your bishop granted. Bad move. You see, white bishop prevents f6 e4. Which is dangerous, and sick dangerous with your queen still at d2 and black queen now at h4.

Oh yeah, at that point it is... I skipped one white move But

Qd2-Qh5
h2-h3 (forced move)
Nf6-Ng4
Bc2-Bd2 (the counterattack, pinning the Knight because Queen is behing it)

If you move Qh5-Qh4 I'll just eat the Knight with the Bishop, and that ends your attack.

I missed one move too, d7 f6, of course, which must happen before you do f6 e4

Even if you play it, it has no benefit. The queen moves one field below again. You can now kill the Knight (and lose your bishop), and d7 f6 will follow, giving exactly the same situation again.

Those are all great ideas, but easily preventable by white. The best answer is to threaten mate with Qh5 (1 point for Doomforge ) And after that?

To make things easy, here's a picture:

After Qh5 (threatening Qxh2# mate)white played h3 to prevent it. Now it's black to move again. What do you see?

I would move Nd7-Ne5. That brings the second Rook to the game, on the same file as the white Queen, pinning the pawn at d4. If white exchanges Knights (Nc4xNe5 and Bc7xBe5) and now there is double pressure on white pawn at d4, leading to a better position for Black.

Hih, can't think further.

If you move your knight there, it won't be the enemy knight that will take it, but the pawn! Watch out, don't sacrifice a piece unless you have a good reason.

By the way, the answer from now on will occur in 1 move.

But if the pawn takes it, then Rd8xRd2 and white looses the Queen.

Anyways that is not the best move I suppose

d8 x d2.

Anyway, I can't see any insta winning moves here. Do you just expect us to tell what is the best move, or to guess a winning one?

Oh, man you're right . The pawn is pinned. But moving your knight still doesn't lead nowhere. Hint: look for a fork.

Exactly!

That square was blocked by the queen before. To free it up, you must do it with tempo if you want to fork afterwards. This means that while you free up the square, you deliver another threat. And 2 threats (in this case: mate and fork) can't be dealt with in 1 move.

Congrats! Next one tomorrow.

Nice trick!

I was thinking of c7-a5 to threaten the white queen, but I guess it's not that great...

Might be good later, as you involve your bishop in the attack with this move (with gain of time: the queen must retreat if you first defend your bishop's position). But first, I think you should equalize your position and involve a rook in the attack. After thar, organising a kingside attack is simple.

Good move, Ash

Oh damn

But at least you can continue:
c8xc2
d2xc2
h5xa5

Yeah I know you lose more "important" pieces since a Rook is very important
