I can nothing do about. If nobody helps, then I will use what I have, the paladins commanders. They are not bad, easy to script and cast spells (level 1). They have shot animations so I can switch in game their abilities regardless specific battles.

Believe me, you will not miss them.

I renounced at the new walls, as they were looking really weird. I erased everything and started again. The new walls are standard, but improved the area around.

Many errors with the new editor, need to save often.

OMG, that's freakin' epic! Looks like you're not going to run out of ideas, Valery

BTW, aren't there too many heroes as for game capacities?

Sergroj object.exe allows to make any object to look like an hero. However the hero (not being one) will not have a flag. So I add manually a blue flag upon each object/hero. In this way you can have the map literally covered with heroes, if need to simulate invasions. I already used this trick in Alexander.

Jim Vogan just joined this project, so it will be much less work for me alone. His scripting ideas are awesome, so an outstanding story/plot is to be expected.

**Update:

The new objects are very enthralling. The big head needs contrast to fit well inside, and only dirt terrain mountains (white) could give it a chance.

Map layout is over and now we work on the 63+ quests at a rate of 3 quests/week. Will be long. But the quests are long and interesting, I just finished a horse race against the AI (7 turns to win) and Jim is working on Pythagoras amphorae quest:

Don't ask me what is the solution,I fail every time.

Horse race:

Spartans, the most awesome warriors:

Abilities:

Despite the Persian numeric superiority, the first fight will be a full slaughter because of a too narrow passage. This may change later(56 fights in all)

This one will not have a time limit for several reasons: no creatures to recruit, AI fixed and all AI actions triggered by Leonidas .

Time limit is a must for any map. It just shows how the author wanted things to happen and under which conditions he tested them. You are free to disable them at any time and play the map in the way you like, slow, fast, very slow, awful slow. But usually when someone is doing this, bugs occur, map freeze after 12th month, computer freeze, etc.

The time limits are there only to show the tested and safe path.

Testing tools for generating/testing random terrain/objects (if anyone needs the code, Jim has it)

Random labyrinth generated for the minotaur quest (will be covered with fog of war for final version). Strangely, the hero could not be scripted to have a scouting radius less than 5 even with a curse which set it to 0.

A few puzzle fights update:

Kill a Champion without hitting him. The spartan has 1HP.

Hit the lich before round 3. She removes some obstacles to help you but not many when placing a lot others at the same time.

Find the right dragon which holds the armor before dying.

Kill the lich and 7 summoned dragons before round 2 (spartans damage is 1)

Jim Vogan achieved to store the terrain and minimaps into variables, therefore he created a terrain puzzle where you can redraw the map:
