Warcraft IV = Will it come?

Will Wc4 come or will Blizzard stick to WoW forever?

My personal thought is that in the future, Blizzard will make Warcraft 4 to build up some new lore and then ´start with WoW II.

What do you want for Warcraft 4 or do you think it will even come some day? Share your opions, here is my idea...

Warcraft IV
Drums of War

The Age of Heroes has come to an end...

First, Kil'jaedan was banished from Azeroth while attempting to start a third invasion. Then, the Lich King was vanquished and the Scourge elimnated.
But in the Emerald Dream, the forces of the Old Gods awaited. Quickly, the Horde and the Alliance heard the Druids call and was successful in defeating the Old God Azethoth.
However the Lady of Dreams Ysera had been corrupted by Azethoth, and needed to be killed aswell.

Then the Tides of Desturction rised upon the shores of Azeroth and the naga Empress Azshara unleashed the fury of the Maelstrom against the world.
But the Empress was not alone in the murky depths, with her yet another Old God had its lair.
The Old Goddess Shub-Yagurath had made Azshara her avatar but the mortals succeded in turning the powers of the Maelstrom against the two, eradicating both of them.

But yet, there were other threats left. In the Elemental Plane the last Old God resides and the rebirthed Elemental Lietuants, thought to be dead. Fierce battles took part in the prison realm, and the Alliance and the Horde found themself to be the prisoners.
Eventully, the threat there was taken down and they could flee from the wretched plane.

And in the final dark frontier, the heroes had to meet Sargeras himself. But with the help of the Titans and the Naarus Army of Light they vanquished him forever.

After that peace and order had finally come to Azeroth and its inhabitants.
Ten years of total peace reigned untill old hatreds recarnated...

The Forsaken and Blood Elves left the Horde, choosing their own paths. Although many Blood Elves followed the Naaru, the majority stayed to reconsturct their realm and cleanse places such as the Plaguelands.

The Night Elves left the Alliance and like the Blood Elves, they cleansed their corrupted lands. In addition, peace had finally come to the Warsong Gulch or atleast a truce.

But the truce was soon over...
The leaders of the Horde became old and weak. Cairne died, Thrall was assassinated by Garrosh Hellscreams agents and Vol'jin and many of the Darkspear trolls had already returned to their ancient island homes in the South Seas.

Garrosh successfully became the new warchief and the Grimtotem Tribe took the leadership of the Tauren. Soon the Horde would turn to a devasting force of destruction that it was half a decade ago.
Garrosh breaked the truce against the Night Elves and war started again.

The Alliance themself, who had retaken some cities in eastern Lordaeron, seeked to retake their ancestral kingdom.
And so the Drums of War once again thundred... in the whole world of warcraft.

Dialogue from mission in the "Will of the Forsaken" campaign.

In the Undercity, the Dark Lady Sylvanas Windrunner plots her next move in her domain of Lordaeron.

Deathguard: Dark Lady!
Sylvanas: Speak, I dont have time for games. Its best for you that what you say is something useful, or perhaps you want to end up in the corpse pit for our Flesh Construction project?

Deathguard: No, no my Lady. This be something useful! The human fortress and city of Stromgarde and the town of Southshore is getting reinforcements from the Wrynns in the south!

Sylvanas: Contiune.

Deathguard: Our agents suspect that the Alliance are moving their forces to Lordaeron in an attempt to retake our rightfully domain! Shall I tell Durthis Boneshod, leader of the Deathguard Unit?

Sylvanas: WHAT!? The Alliance are attacking us!? Are you sure?

Deathguard: Yessssssss my dark, dark Lady. Already they are reinforcing nearby villages and the Gryphon production at the Wildhammer capital of Aerie Peak is increasing!

Sylvanas: Why didnt you tell me this earlier!? Now its already to late to spread the Plague in their major settlements!
The Alliance has breaked the truce and for that we shall slaugther both them... and you!

Sylvanas: Sharlindra, tell Durthis to gather our forces and attack the region of Amber Mill and Dalaran from both the Undercity and Tarren Mill. Without doubt Dalaran will aid the Alliance in this conflict if the Violet City receives reports from these two settlements. Also increase the defenses to the east, the Alliance shall NOT break past into our border.

Sharlindra: As you wish my Queen...

Sylvanas: And dont fail me! If Dalaran enters the conflict, then we are sure to be destroyed! Leave no survivors.

Sharlindra: Understood, Dark Queen.

Some of Blizz's employees hinted War4 will use SC2's engine, so yes, it's most likely going to happen. But not too soon.

a better idea:
another Attempt of Kill'jaden to revive onto our world, has brought the alliance(gnomes dawrfs humanes draeni and night elfs)  and the horde(orc touren forsaken troll and blood elf) as well as the new factions, The Councile (Amani,Grubashi, and Sand Trolls) and The union (nice name) (with razorman, centour and Rouge Demons).
Also an area called tears of death will feature an never ending fight between blod elfs and high elfs.

Because then Starcraft's lore and background would get butchered in addition to Warcraft's. Please don't let this happen.

In all seriousness though, Starcraft > Warcraft: Warcraft rips off Warhammer too blatantly in too many ways, in my opinion.

@Xerox- Well, I get free patches for all PC games already. Am I supposed to PAY for Blizzard fixing the things that are wrong with their game? How does that seem fair? I say it's ridiculous. I'm already dropping $50 for their game, and money is changing hands for the internet as well; to charge for the "right" to play the game against other humans is pushing it.

If Blizzard charges for Bnet, not only are they going to hurt PC games (it's not like with exbawks where you can have a "pay and play everything online" fee) but I will never touch a Blizzard RTS again.

Online gaming fees

Implementing an online multiplayer feature is like a double edged sword. a Game with an online multiplayer feature is most likely going to sell more copies than a game without an online multiplayer feature (more copies sold=more money), BUT it costs money to maintain your online multiplayer service (I.E. Battle.net or Xbox Live) . In the long run the multiplayer service is going to no longer be worth maintaining and businesses are supposed to make money, not lose money. If they start losing money from maintaining their online multiplayer service they will most likely have to shut the service down and by doing so they will lose/piss off customers wich means that they won't get as much money. To keep that from happening they implement a fee for the online gaming service and will be able to afford maintaining the service and having an overall higher quality online service while making money at the same time. Of course the online service fee might alienate some consumers/customers, but its worth it for the business.

My personal opinion about Blizzard's decision to 'fuse' their online services together into one service to rule them all? I think that was propably the best thing they could do for both parties (Blizzard and the consumers). The consumer won't need to pay for the online service for each game separately and since the online service will be compatible with more games they will get more suscribers to the online service wich will bring them more money to afford keeping the online service in high quality and most importantly with the money they make they will be able to produce higher quality products. So I guess both parties win though Blizzard wins a bit more .

I don't know, current PC games do fine without charging for online service.

The main issue as I see it is that it is not a pay one fee, play them all deal like xbox live. If Blizzard starts this trend you have to pay separately for EVERY PC game, because they aren't compatible. That's going to stack up quickly, and what's more, PC games never cost money to play only, MMOs excepted but I can sort of understand that. RTSs on the other hand never have, and if Blizzard begins charging for Battle.net I will be severely disappointed.

Think about it; if you're paying 5-10 a month for 4-5 different games, that's going to add up really quickly.

Erm.... you get to download their games from their website like a week after it has been released

And you dont understand. You only have to pay one monthly fee. The monthly fee is shared between all Blizzard games.

You wont need 10x monthly fees, there is only one.
One monthly fee to rule them all.

And the monthly fee wont get expensiver then it is now.

Yes Xerox, difference here is that most people actually have to pay for it themselves, out of their own money, unlike you where your parents would probably pay for you seeing as how you have no job. Just consider yourself lucky and understand why people complain about the money.
