the last few bits showing Cuck Carrey as Eggman, is decent though.

Not to mention the trailers montage is god-awful in it's own right: Gangsta Paradise as a theme? Seriously? And wtf is with showing a 30 sec Carrey's monologue, which isn't even funny, instead of action snippets, which trailers are supposed to do?
The only thing I actually liked about this trailer was the robo-truck.

Come on, it has Jim Carrey doing stupid snow. I mean the movie is going to suck, but we might get a decent Carrey compilation video on youtube after it's out.
Also, I love that even in the trailer you can see Sonic casually dodging a million rockets, but for some reason can't sidestep a dart gun.

Stop defending them Blizz. They know very well on what loose ground they are venturing on. Either you do this kind of movies for the fans or you make a quick cash-grab. Sonic the Teeth looks like the latter...
You want an example of how to at least appease the fans? Bumblebee and the Cybertron sequence, I see only praise.

Warcraft movie wasn't trashed so hard, a lot of people thought it was okay. Resident Evil also had many sequels due to its success. The reason fans -or anybody else for that matter- are merciless is because most of the time such movies suck. Because guess what, some concepts are good for a game but not for a movie and it's hard to come up with some Mario script that makes sense. But since brands are there to milk cash, they do it anyway.

Video game movies would do better if they ignored the fans more often than listened to them. Most of the time, if you stay faithful to a video game, the movie is stupid because something that looks awesome in a video game often looks retarded on the big screen. It doesn't translate well at all.
Marvel is now a more profitable franchise than Stars Wars and they change quite a lot of stuff from the comics to keep it from being stupid. Scarlett Witch isn't a walking sex object, for example, but there are dozens or hundreds of other things that make the movies different from the comics.
This much is clear: if you want to make a successful, well-reviewed movie, then a good rule of thumb is to always ignore the grumpy white male troglodytes with spaghetti-stained shirts who know less than nothing. Bumblebee was a charming movie and some of the cosmetics were extremely faithful to Transformers, but the rest was heavily adapted to fit the big screen. If it stayed faithful to the original material the movie would have been crap.

I do not disagree with that. Doesn't mean most video-game movies have not been crap to be just as crappily received though. I also don't understand your beef with male white people, have you gotten racist or something?
