I'd say that movies are a very big part of both American and European culture today. For instance, in Sweden "The Hunger Games" sparked some cultural debate.
The cultural analysis part has to be relevant for today so I can't take like some 50 year old book or painting that no ordinary young people know anything about.
PLUS, it's an excuse to watch movies instead of going to school!
Gibby has an uncanny tendancy to play roles that villanize the English. I dislike films that only take hold of a single agenda and instill hate on the opponents, I enjoy them, but they don't come near being my favourites.

So you're supposed to be doing a "cultural analysis", and to do so you've cherry picked a film specifically because it (allegedly) supports an opinion you've already formed? Looks like you're well on your way to being a polician.

It's about time they get a Shadows of the Empire trilogy rolling.
I feel more confident with Disney doing it than George Lucas. I think they have a respectable chance of pulling off a really good movie, as long as they don't succumb to modern clutter syndrome like they did in the 2nd and 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean, where the plot and direction of the movie mutates 10x faster than a goddamn jungle virus. They need to make it mandatory for the staff & cast to take a dose of Valium before they get started for the day.

Sorry guys, couldn't resist. To be honest, I'm cautiously optimistic. Disney proved with Pirates of the Caribbean that they can make enjoyable/good non-animated movies aimed at a more adult audience. I think they might be able to pull it off, but then again, I'm going to try realy hard not to judge anything before I see more of it.
