Thanks for the answers! =)
I guess I tend to like banshees more since I can kill more enemies with the spell without retaliation instead of just one. But I have no experience in duels, I used them on the necropolis campaigns where Arantir had tons of good artifacts and such.

BTW how is the spell damage calculated for the banshees?

Taken from AoH page:

This creature can deal damage on all living enemy stacks within the range of 3 tiles from it. The damage amount depends on the particular enemy's Morale and its distance from the creature (activated ability).

Base damage is equal to (10-Target_Morale)*Nb_Banshee, where Nb_Banshee is the number of Banshees in the attacking stack. Targets adjacent to the Banshee suffer their base damage, while targets one tile further suffer half of it, and targets 2 tiles further only 25% of it.
For example, with a stack of 8 Banshees, an adjacent target with Morale 2 will suffer 8*(10-2)=64 damage. A target 2 tiles further with Morale -1 will suffer 8*(10+1)/4=22 damage.

I suggest you check the manual, has some interesting things to read. It's in the FanDocuments folder of tote directory.

IMO Banshees are superior versus damage-magic (not just from the destructive school), but generally level 6 undead rely on their normal damage, and wraiths do that better.

Anyway the actual fight should happen in the second player's day 1 turn, right?

No of course not. First of all you play simultaneous turns so both should finish around the same time - hopefully Secondly you must end for autosave on first turn and one more time before the actual fight.

Alright then, I'll get it all in my head eventually

Just hope my bad lag won't kill my chances of playing (PC lag, not net lag).

Even tho I haven't played or met you online, good to see a veteran from last season join in again

no, I expect the "temple" one will be more fun than the "dark side" one
I expect to save more memorable & fun replays here like 1st season
(compared to the "dark side" one which is serous & will also play for "medals")

@Elvin: noticed
1. on page 1 an image has been removed from photobucket
2. page 2 mentioned can use non-native heroes in the "temple" duel: is that still the case as it is not mentioned in masterpost?

Yea there's too many people with social disorders in ToH so I was hoping there would be a friendly backwater tourney just for the Temple. I don't mean this to sound like a threat - do whatever you were originally planning on doing - but if not I'd rather not be added to the list.

shh.. <whispers quietly: in my RL, being subtle sometimes helps me more>
edit: I think the "temple" is the friendly one (knockout format like 1st season) but the "other one" may be round-robin like arena
