- Particle beam canons. As accurate as it gets. Cruor Vult has four of them. But first of all- He looked at Molly- Can you disable the shield remotely or not?

"Disable? No. Get people through, yes. I'll let you all decide what is best." she seems a little huffy. She IS a five year old, and prone to tantrums..despite her intelligence.
Mystic comes up and puts one hand on Molly's shoulder. "Easy little one. Often the newer members have to earn their way, and it is easy to dismiss us for our age. I do not believe any disrespect was meant, as he is just worried about the casualties."
Molly huffs. "Well, let him think I am stupid. What do I care?" but she does seem to feel a little better now.

- I guess I went over the top this time. Happens to me.- he looked up.
- This whole deal is getting more complicated by the minute.- Alex sighed.- We got the firepower but we can't use it. I wish that it would be so easy as in my years as a merc.- He sighed again.
- Let's say we go through it. We find a way to get rid of it. Then we destroy our cheap knock-offs and that moron 'god'. Do we have anything to help with our strategy? Facility lay outs, blueprints, anything?

12 dead freedom fighters lay strewn around Geist as he forced them to do his bidding.
"No!!" yelled out another human as he shot Geist with his shotgun, but the bullets were teleported into his skull, adding another corpse to the ground's collection.
"YOU WILL DO AS I SAY!" spoke Geist forcefully as he ripped off the head of another attacker. "Do I have to make anymore embarrassing examples of you pitiful creatures to get you all to follow my orders?!?!"
Another human tried to snipe Geist, but instead Geist reappeared behind him and thrust his gauntleted hand through the sniper's chest.
"NO? THEN I WILL KEEP ON KILLING YOU ALL UNTIL YOU OBEY!"
Geist then teleported a machine gun to him and shot another human's brains out, greasing the metro floor with even more blood.
"OBEY ME!" yelled Geist again.
The remaining forty humans shuddered with Geist's brutal ferocity and submitted to him by exposing their necks to him.
"Good. Now I need you all to do something rather important for me. You all will probably die, but this is for the greater good. If you attempt to desert, then you will suffer the same fate as those morons kissing the floor there. You all will bring all of your pitiful friends along and take Madison Square Garden. Your failure would be stupid, but knowing you all, it is likely to happen. You take it and the machines will surely focus in on you all. Then I work my magic and the Machine God will have been greatly weakened. But you all won't live to see it. NOW GO! I don't have much time here..."

The remaining humans didn't get far. Almost instantly, they too died. Figures teleported in to where he is. "You should not have strayed so far from your allies." one of the figures said. Dozens of Anti-Geists stood there, with a couple of Hyu's, and a couple of Gaias.
((In a fight, the real Geist doesn't stand a chance against so many copies especially with Hyu's clones (Who can destroy any metal or technology instantly) and Gaias (Gravity and Magnetic powers).))

"How interesting...but I can't say I didn't see this coming..." muttered Geist from a vantage point overlooking the humans.
"That certainly puts a damper on my work."
Geist teleported to where the Anti-Geists, Anti-Hyus, and Anti-Gaia's were, holding up a hand as a sign of truce.
"Don't be alarmed or anything. I just want to talk." began Geist, "There is no convincing you all to join us, that much is certain, but I would like to let you all know that once Mr. Computer Guy gets everything and becomes a 'god', there will be no use for you all. Just more scraps of metal, and if we win, then you'll be butchered and incinerated. Either way you're all screwed. Just wanted to let you all know that. Bye!"
With that, Geist super-teleported (with the souls of the humans of course) back to where the others were.

- Well?- Alex asked Molly- do we have any of those I asked for? So, direct bombing is out of the question. However we do need to take out at least half of the clones present there to avoid heavy losses. And no I won't leave my men out of this. Do you think I'll allow us to go without aditional backup?

Molly was doing some calculations in her head and holds up a finger. "I ain't a computer, give me time." she looks at Alex. "Yes, I can pull up the schematics, security footage, and get us a good idea of what we are going to do."
As she is doing so, a bit of a ... well I don't know if you can call it an argument if one isn't speaking...is going on.
Mutt is making some very curt jestures to Bulldog, and Bulldog is nose to chest yelling at Mutt. "Now don't you go getting any ideas. Yes I KNOW that we can't put children in danger... HEY PUT ME DOWN." Despite not a sound coming out of Mutt's mouth, you could swear he is growling. "OK OK FINE! Don't crawl to me when this goes bad."
Mutt sets him down, smiling. He seems tired of waiting. Doing a few motions to Terra, and Teira they hesitate but nod. Extending their teleport ability around the group, they teleport everybody outside of New York. He makes a few motions toward Alex. "He said..and this is his words not mine. If you are to craven to take charge, he will." Mutt walks up to the forcefield closest to the forcefield generator.
"NO DON'T!" Screams Molly as she rushes toward him, but it is to late. Mutt thrusts his hands into the forcefield...and plasma courses through his body. He starts transforming instantly, and actually manages to rip a hole into the forcefield. Machines come out and start shooting at him, and his body jerks but he holds the line. "Somebody!! Anybody!! HELP HIM!" begs Molly

Geist reappears on the machine side of the forcefield and says, "Did I miss anything?"
He then sees what is going on and teleports a gun to himself and starts shooting the machines, teleporting every now and then to avoid being hit. However, the effort isn't enough as more machines arrive.
He continues fighting until Mutt collapses onto the ground. Geist quickly teleports to where Mutt was and attempts to hold things up himself.
"Don't just stand there, do something!"

Zip zips through the opening and starts taking out machines as fast as her little feet can carry her, while Flare puts up a fire shield to block up the weapon fire. Mystic heads for the Shield generator.
As for Geist, the plasma barely tickles him thanks to the suit. Mostly the suit just converts the energy to its own energy. The weapons blasts were a little worrisome, but that is now behind a shield of fire. It won't be long until the doubles start arriving however. If they get the shield down, the ship can at least make things a bit more even.

Meanwhile Baal ran to Mutt and pulled him out of the machine's side. His heart was still beating. Baal tried to concentrate but noize and fire didn't give him such a possibility. He yelled to others:
"What are you waiting for? Push them aside ASAP! I need to concentrate."
Several galaxy rangers, including Terra and Teira burst into machine's side. They instantly created a mess there, which gave valueable time.
Eventually Baal made ready for healing and seconds later Mutt was saved.
Though this time machines weren't stupid pieces of metal, they looked like organized army, as if some very clever general commanded. They counterattacked, so galaxy rangers were forced to fall back.

Mystic was by no means a great warrior. He was young, and though he had been taught by his parents from the time he could pick up a blade, that was not where his strength lies. These machines were about to learn why he was called Mystic however.
As Masq transforms into a great dragon, Mystic's body glows with a violet energy. He takes out a katana and throws it, it takes the shape of a dragon also, and flows around Masq's body. The weapons of the machines seem to sheer off inches from hitting her, deflected by the energy. With this 'shield' of energy Masq tears into the machines with no fear.
Next Mystic's body starts glowing with a green enegy. He takes out a small round shield and throws it, the outline of a giant turtle forms around Baal, its shell stoping even explosions from reaching him for now. Finally near exhustion Mystic has no choice but to fall back.
No clones or doubles are in site..in fact the machines seem to be pretty much alone. It is almost as if they are not fighting to win, but to delay.
Suddenly, empty husks start raining down from the towers. The doubles, drained and lifeless. You even see a few doubles of Kiki, and the newer members. Apparently the machine had been having something collect DNA..and had been busy.
A rumbling comes from the tower..and it splits apart. All this had been a double diversion. It was never about the ship, it was never about the clones. It was about the DNA, and even flesh to do something...
A form rises from the ashes, it is a monstrocity. It looks like all the heroes (including Geist) squished up together. It is a good 30' tall. It has ALL the heroes abilities (At full strength)..the machine has done what it set out to do. It had made itself a body, and what a body.

As soon as Baal had opened his mouth he noticed a series of hot waves pass over his head and a machine right in front of him stopped. A moment later it fell apart. Then the battle was all around him.
Varjo had an emotionless look on his face, his mouth a narrow line and his gaze cold as stone. A ruthless cold-blooded Avenger from the world beyond. He shifted closer and closer to the forcefield generator and the machines with small stops to halo and send a series of wind blows amplified by the hot air around him against the machines with deadly accuracy. They weren't hot enough to burn or melt the metal of the machines but the sudden increase in heat at a small area made the metal expand uneven and become frail. Another cut to the same place from a slightly different angle broke through. Darkblade was advancing a little right to him. She had a little devious smile on her face. Her dark eyes glistened menacingly and her dark hair flowed around her in the bright fiery aura around her. Without knowing better one could have mistaken her for a devil from the hells itself. But those would be sorely mistaken. The devil was a small fry compared to the fury of that woman. Shifting and sending off burning hot waves of slashes the two advanced in turns with the other covering for the other's shift. For a normal person this it would have appeared like they had been in multiple places at the same time so quick and well timed was their movement. When one appeared the other was already gone.
Making his final shift in reaching the machines above one Varjo drove one of his knives surrounded in his flaming aura into it's cerebral cortex burning the core and disabling the machine. A machine to his right targeted him with it's plasma cannons but before it had a chance to fire he was already gone. A flash of fire went through the machine as it was cleaved in half by Darkblade. Three nearby machines collapsed an instant later with their engines going overload and when they exploded in a ball of fire and scrapnel the two newly made GR members were already on the other side of the battlefield. They shifted in perfect unison taking out a few machines in the key places to make the most of overloading their cores while still keeping the blast radious small enough to not harm their comrades. It was like a dance. Brightly burning figures of joy and hate moving as two entities of the same being creating their own deadly ballet ending in a bang that would make hollywood films jealous.
Varjo shifts next to the forcefield generator and hits a clunk of eplosive to it's side. Immeaditely he shift to the other side and hits anothe side of eplosives to that side. He notices a few machines advancing as he shifts to another side but makes no move to counter them. Darkblade has already taken care of them. He proceeds to the fourth side and a three more machines rush to stop him. They are all cleaved in half in a brief flash of fire and light. This he knows as he shifts to the fifth and last side of the forcefield tower. Desperate the machines open fire even at the risk of hitting the tower. He starts the shift to farther away while the plasma hits the eplosives and the tower. He feels Darkblade has started her shift too. Explosion engulfs the tower base. As the deadly duo of flaming avengers appear near Mystic to cover his retreat the forcefield tower is already crumbling down in the distance but it is left almost unnoticed as the bigger tower exterior comes crumbling down and reveals the abomination.

"My...would you look at that...beautiful..." says Geist in awe, then he yells out, "FLARE! CREATE AS MUCH FIRE POSSIBLE! ALEX! SEE IF YOU CAN DIRECT ALL OF THAT TO FATTY OVER THERE! MEANWHILE, I'LL TELEPORT THE REMAINING MACHINES INTO THE FIRE! OKAY! GO!"

- So much for planning. Damn- Alex had three dozen of his soldiers with him.
- Squad 1, defend the girl at all cost! Crussoe to Cruor Vult. Heavy support, New York. Now!
- Reinforcements after 3.
- let's hope that we survive those three minutes. Squad 2, with me! Squad 3 cover the others! Charge!- With those words he released several tongues of liquid flame towards the enchroaching machines.
Meanwhile Angel was lost. The teleportation was sudden. She was half naked and unarmed. She was sitting in a "basket" on the back of Cherubael, who was keeping himself busy by shooting at the machines. The battlefield was full of dead bodies and destroyed machines. She had no time to observe the fight, because she was trying to find something to wear and provide at least minor protection.
And then they saw it. The giant coming towards the group. It was big and hideous to behold. Desperate fire was opened by terrifyied soldiers, until one group was swept away by a psionic lightning, an ability which Alex was trying to master in the past few weeks.
- Machines, coming in from the south! Where's that heavy support?- asked Swede. Alex pointed to the sky. It was raining drop pods. Three were huge. Huge enough to hold a titan. Indeed, as they mauled the earth with all that force, three collosal war machines emerged. The minute they exited, they unleashed the hell upon the enemy. Before it was over, one of them has fallen, crushing what was remaining of the "god's" reinforcements.
- Cruor Vult, main batteries, open fire!
Explosions caused by various weapons of the ship shook the ground. But when the dust cleared, the body of the newborn 'god' stood undamaged. It had shielded itself from the damage that could easily destroyed it.
Alex reached for his hammer, only to feel it being taken away by an invisible force. The majestic weapon flew to the ruins of the city. Alex was desperately looking for a solution.

A message comes from the Cruor Vult. "Something is trying to override the systems!! We are being shut out of everything one thing at a time! I don't think using machines against this thing is a GOOD idea!"
The two remaining machines that had hit the ground, suddenly come to a stop..slowly turning the guns toward the group. As they open fire on a suprised Terra, she is teleported to safety by Teira. "Damn it!! Get those MACHINES OUT OF HERE! Teira cries as she teleports from spot to spot, trying to confuse them and draw their fire. "We are just giving the enemy MORE HELP! Repeat..Call off your machines.." then something happens.
Cruor Vult "Our systems are returning to our control, I just don't know how long. Something is wiping out the virus!"
Still, the machines seem endless. Hordes and hordes of them just keep crawling out of the tower. More are coming in from nearby areas. The group is going to be over run, and soon.
A few days forward time wise to where Jorn and Gabriel are standing over a grave.
At first Gabriel is silent, kneeling at the grave. Then he looks to the heavens. "Why have you forsaken me?! Because I dared to love another?!" he holds up a handful of sand, letting it fall through his fingers. "You have taken EVERYTHING FROM ME!" he stands, shaking his fist toward the heavens. "WHY NOT FINISH IT! Strike me down, cast me into the pit. Make my misery complete!"
Silence. Sobs wrack Gabriel's body. "What ... what do you want from me? You have taken everything else. What more can you want."
Again silence. He turns to Jorn. "I wish you would have just let me die. There is nothing here for me now, and no answers. I guess I am ready to leave."

Gesit teleported as many machines as he could into the raging inferno that Flare created, but it was not enough.
Soon another, smaller ship dropped out of the sky and gunned down many machines out of enemy range. Small figures dropped from the ship and landed hard onto the ground. They were clad in dark suits and were armed to the teeth. One of them lifted his visor and said, "We heard a message from the Cruor Vult and came down to help. Our technicians are doing their best to counter the computer virus."
Johnathan blasted another machine with his shotgun as the arriving soldiers gunned down oncoming machines and replied, "What? Who are you?"
"We are the IDPCO Reaver Squadron and I am Captain Jyrell. Captain Avon said you all may need help." replied the Reaver Captain.
"Avon sent you all? Thank god I met up with him."
"Unfortunately, it took us a while to find and contact you due to our retrofitting. Thankfully, it prevented the computer virus from controlling our ship. The Thanatos is now battling the Machine controlled ships up high."
"Good, are any others coming?"
"Unfortunately, no, otherwise we would have been here much earlier. The Observers want very little part with this and are only allowing the Thanatos and us to come in and help. The Ghost Squadron is working on some other assignment that is supposedly more important, but I can't think of anything more important than this."

- What the hell?! The titans were unaffected by any of the viruses we threw at them! They aren't even made from metal! "Thor", "Sekhmet", initiate self destruct sequance while you still have control of them!
He watched the two remaining titans blowing up and wiping out a large number of other machines.

Kaiser, with his lack of strategic planning, just rushed in, pounding all forms of metal into the ground. That, and jumping around, ripping some of the larger ones in two. Minor wounds were landed on him, but with his regeneration, they were healed fairly rapidly.
Soon, there was a large explosion that caught him in mid-hop. It sent him flying through the air, and he was heading toward one of the more massive machines of the enemy. He went with it, readying himself to his way through the entire length.

Prism, on the other hand, stayed back. She was ill-suited to be out there, in the open. Her powers were more for support, or a hindrance, with either case requiring a mutant. Sure, there were the Anti's, but there were far more plain old machines.
How and who to help, she wondered. She knew little of how the members she was with worked, so it was a hard choice to decide on. She had helped Kaiser, Flare, and Perseus before, but only one of the three seemed an appropriate option. Though, there could be others, far better. She watched on, studying the scene, seeing how to help best.

A few things happen at the same time, that makes things a bit more chaotic.
First the area starts filling with a strange mist, making things hard to see..which also brings new figures into the midst. Female figures of all shapes and sizes, wander into the area.
At the same time..the massive machine has started to invoke its powers..specifically copying Prims' powers..and has started to randomly change the heroes abilities.
To make things even more confusing, the Federation FINALLY shows up. At least they will be able to handle most of the Machines. With the mist though things could get confusing, as it is hard to distinguish friend from foe.
Meanwhile...Dimension 001
A strange crate is delivered to IDP headquarters. After the normal scans are run on it, the Captain on duty finally opens it up. A ring of heads on poles...missing their bodies. It is every one of the Observers..dead. A note is pinned to one of them.
"These individuals forgot what the IDP was about. We are not a military orginazation, or a secret society bent on controlling anything. We are a police force, that protects people from scum using interdimensional technology to conduct illegal and dangerous business. Let this be a warning to all." It is signed with just a symbol.
The Captain paled. "Impossible, Omega is supposed to be dead."
One of the others disagreed. "You know as Alpha gets weaker, Omega gets stronger. I don't think it is possible for them to die. They have cycles where one is stronger, sure..and it is always better for everybody when Alpha is the one in charge..but we are not even sure that these are the original Alpha and Omega. Or even if they are mortal. One thing I do know..if Alpha is too weak now to keep Omega in check..things could get bloody."
