Separated, Alex went down to investigate a bunker he saw earlier. His recording module was already on. After breaking into the bunker he went down the stairs. The interior reminded him of a genetic facility. He already encountered slight resistance. Two aliens were torn apart by blaster fire. Alex took their weapons for analysis. Continuing his way deeper into the facility, he didn't encounter anything else.
- It's too quiet. Either no one's home or they're expecting us. How you're doing? Found anything interesting?
- My scanner didn't pick up any life signs.- Replied Jorn
- I'm gathering machinery specimens for research. Some of them are really interesting and...- Alex interrupted Emily.
- Ok, I got that. I'm at some sort of lab down here- Alex planted a small demopack on a door. He stepped away and detonated it. Explosion echoed through the corridor.
- What was that?
- Nothing, just my way of unlocking doors.
Alex entered a huge round hall. It was full of large pods. The pods housed creatures that resembled various Federation races, mostly martian, human and venetian, but only shape and size wise. All of them had features of the zeta species.
- I think I found the reason of the vanishings. It looks like they're breeding hybrids.
- Hybrids? Are you joking?
- See for yourselves.- Alex connected his module to his teammates visors, and projected what he saw.
- Good god! How gross!
- What's the purpose of this?
- I do not know. But I'm gathering various data.- Alex shoveled holodisks and PDAs into his backpack. He then unloaded various explosives, and started planting them around the pods. He put the biggest charge on the master CPU unit.
- Ok, I'm all set. I gathered the data and I'm ready to blow up this blasted rock.
Alex moved tovards the exit, but he was attacked by several oponent's armed with rapid fire blasters.
- I've got hostiles!
- Us too!
- Move towards the ship! I'll join you in 5 minutes!
Alex's head started pounding again.
"This sucks"- thought Alex as he returned fire. After a succesfull clearing by a grenade he tried to push the aliens back. Unleashing his mental razors, Alex sliced through their telepaths. The aliens released their drones upon him, but Alex repelled their attacks, and reflected them back. His way to the surface and his teammates was clear. For now atleast.

Jorn get to the Cargo hold and puts away his gun and draws out his 2 Very well made swords with runes on them.
"If I'm going out...I'm going out in style.This is the Path i have chosen."
Jorn begins his battle with fire in his eyes.taking them on with some hand to hand combat.With vampire like speed and accuracy.

Pelok - Neptunian - Archeologist on Utopian/Rutopian History. Found some Utopian artifacts awhile ago, and has since been targeted by buglars smugglers and other villians.
Yistaly - Mercurian - Druglord for the biggest "Kesh"-market. Kesh is one of the most addictive drugs of all time and makes the user a mindless zombie whos easily manipulated.
Racht - Andromedian - Illegal weapons dealer. The intergalatic police has long tried to prove that he deals out dangerous weapons on the black market, but have always had to let him go because they don't have enough proff.
Mitchel - Martician - Scientist working on some new better source of power. She believes that she can use this new energy power to power up a time machine invention of hers, thus proving that time travel is possible. Unfortunatly this new energy source has some very high destructive potential as it's highly unstable and radioactive.
Elain - Saturian - A biologicist working on a new form of way to transform a wasteland planet into a liveable planet. Uses the plant "Hedali" in her experiments and must therefore get it to her. Unfortunatly, Hedali is a fast growing plant full of posions and lethal gasses, and the trade of this plant is therefore been illegalized.

Baal sat comfortably in his chair in the spaceship, waited for Geist.
Baal insonified:
"Final Destination: Earth;
Approximate time of travel: 4 hours and 40 minutes;
Fuel: checked;
Engines: checked;
Computers: checked;
System works fine, fasten your seatbelts. Countdown.
Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, START."

Five hours later...
Baal said: "We landed near the station, 20 miles North to New New York. Firstly we should get to there and then find that young guy."

"We hate public transportation, and left our money somewhere in The Watcher, though of course, physical money was before your time." Geist said as they got off the ship. All of the sudden, he felt a surge of pain go through his body as he weakened. "URRGHH!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! We need...more souls...AHHHHH!!!!"
Soon, however, he calmed down, and was back to his normal state, though physically weakened. Geist turned to his partner and said, "Nevermind...We are too weak to teleport us...we must find us some souls or we shall not be able to handle our mission priority..."
Geist looked around and saw a couple of people head into a dark corner, completely obscure and unchecked. Geist smiled devilishly (of course you can't see it through his mask though) and headed there whispering, "It's feeding time..."

"There is no hell for us, mortal." said Geist as he faced Baal, "For we intend to live forever, and so far, we have been very successful. Let's keep it that way, iceman."
Geist turned back to the alley and headed inside. The couple were two young humans. One male, one female, both around eighteen to twenty years old. They held hands and started kissing. Geist remembered the days of irresponsible bliss and love, but those days ended hundreds of years ago. Geist put the thoughts away from his mind and walked towards them, who were oblivious to his presence...
Outside the alley, Baal waited. Within a minute, he heard screams of terror and laughs of psychotic insanity. He heard rending claws slash through the victims' flesh and tear them apart. All Baal wanted to do is to rush in there and save the poor humans, but he knew he couldn't. Then the carnage stopped. Geist came out, looking stronger and more alive. Blood dripped from Geist's claws as Baal watched in utter horror.
Geist laughed maniacally and said, "The female was pregnant, so we received a little bonus energy. AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Enigma! You were right!!!!"

Providing support fire for Jorn was no easy task as he moved almost as fast as lightning. Alex concentrated on drones. He and Emily shot down most of them, while Jorn ravaged the alien foot soldiers. Alex saw more enemies aproaching. He was out of ammo and explosives.
- Back to the ship! We won't beat them like this!- shouted Alex and released his mental razors.
- But my ship...- Started Jorn.
- Srew that! We got what we came for, time to blow this joint!- Alex activated his psi-amp. His mental razors, usually invisble, gained shape of blueish lightning. The last attack was very powerfull, and Alex almost kneeled. Gathering what was left of his strenght, Alex moved back to the ship. His teammates quickly buckled their seatbelts and Alex as fast as he could readied the ship for launch. The enemy was encroaching near, and 'Nightwing's' engine fire burned most of them. He dialed the detonation code to his computer and set the course back to Section 3 HQ. Their departure was followed by a huge explosion.
- Did you just nuked that place?- Asked Emily. The little martian looked suspisciously at him.
- Not exactly. Those were highly powerfull ionised plasma charges. Small, light, yet powerfull as a thermonuclear bomb.
- Just how many of them you planted?
- Let's see. There were about 70 pods, so one for each. Also the CPU received a nice load of them. A multicharge consisting of 10, no wait, 20 of them.
Both Emily and Jorn facepalmed. Alex laughed.
- I had to make sure everything was destroyed properly, didn't I?
- you realize that you destroyed not only that asteroid, but also everything else in 250 kilometer radius?
Alex shrugged.
- Ah whatever. There'll be fewer rocks to go around. Big deal.
Alex engaged the auto pilot and went down to the cargo hold.

- You can't save them all Jorn. Besides, they were created by recycling their genes. Gross stuff. Really.- Said Alex as he went up the stairs. He was out of his space suit.- those cans are getting on my nerves. Big, heavy, restrains movement. Never had this problem as a mercenary. Delta-X64b experimental armor. Now those were something.
- You were a merc?
- After I was kicked out of the army, yes, I was a merc. Belonged to the Iron Wolwes company, worked as a tactical engineer and a demolitions expert.- Alex drove the ship out of hyperspace.- We're almost home.

He came closer to the vehicle, which was parked near that place. It was vehicle of new era - rougly huge flying track. The driver was very surprised seeing Uranian in front of him. It was obvious he saw not earthlings very few times. Baal looked at him, eyes in eyes. The driver couldn't say any word, his look became stoned and eyes became icy. Baal just said.
"You will get us to the center of New New York"
"Yes, Master." - it was the only thing he said.
Baal returned for the Geist and they both got into track.
"I think we should visit mayor of the city to ask what was happened here. City administration house." - he said to the driver
"Yes, Master."
After they got out from the track Baal turned to the driver and said:
"You will drive back to the place where you met me and fall asleep. After you wake up you will forget about all happened in the last half an hour."
"Yes, Master."
Baal turned to Geist
"So here we are, let's go and ask few questions to mayor."

Without delay, Alex went into Ben's office. He unpacked the data aquired at the alien facility.
- We're unloading various machinery from my ship. Jorn has a feeling that we haven't seen the last of them.
Ben mumbled something, probably complaining about Alex's complete annhiliation of the Alien base. Meanwhile, Alex reviewed avaivable assignments. He stopped at this one:
Jaina and Matthew Crussoe
Human archeologists and historians. Experts on ancient civilizations native to Earth. Unearthed various unknown alien technology on Sachara desert, since then targeted by criminal cartels and other extremist organisations. Enlisted the help of Iron Wolf mercenaries. Possible jurisdiction conflicts with the latter.
- I'm taking this one. It'll be better that I personally babysit uh, I mean watch over my siblings. It'll also be good to meet my old brothers in arms again.
Alex went down to the dock, hearing Ben saying something like "Don't make a huge mess". Service drones unloaded the machinery collected by Emily.
- Martica, armory.
A hologram bearing weaponry list appeared near Alex. He ticked various explosives, including C4, anti armor projectiles and EMP charges. In a big quantity.
- Martica, teleport selected items near me.
An ammo crate appeared near his feet.
- Thanks Martica.
Alex loaded the crate in his ship. Several repair drones were doing minor repairs on the exterior. Alex looked at his old attack bike stationed in the cargo hold. A piece of equipment he built all by himself, it was perfect for scouting and quick assaults. The drones finally done repairing the damaged laser cannons, and Alex was ready to launch.

Alex went to change his clothes, something more suitable for desert enviroment. His attire made him look like a mercenary. Desert camo pants and bandana, combat boots, fingerless gloves, tan sleeveless t-shirt, and a armored vest underneath them. He also equipped several explosives, and his pistol rested in it's holder seated on his right hip. he placed his IDP badge on an armband on his left arm. Alex sat down to his seat. His siblings' excavation site was nearby. A marauder class gun runner engaged Alex's starship.
- Unidentified vessel... well I'll be... Is that you Scorch?
- I sure am. What happened Ace, lost your eyesight?
- Veeery funny. It's been seven attacks in four days. Finally IDP sent some more serious backup. The last guys were killed by mauritanian raiders.
- How about we talk after we land?- Alex steered the ship towards the landing platform.
Ace exited his ship. A tall, slim pilot equipped with bionics. Alex exited his vessel, equipped with various explosives, and his blaster carbine. They both entered the tent, and Ace shouted:
- Hey guys, look what I found!

"Ok, wait here." - Baal said to Geist and entered pretty building of post-modern style. He went upstairs and found a cabinet with the sign 'Richard Gordon - Mayor of New New York'. Baal knocked and entered.
"Come in, please sit here." - Richard said calmly but it was easy to see the problems in his eyes.
"Thanks. I am Ingvar Baalokki and I am investigating 13 year old kid with superpowers case."
"Ah I will help you, that is Bobby, Bobby-disaster. Our police is trying to catch him but no success. It seems he can teleport."
"Do you have any clue where he can hide?"
"No, have no idea, if I'd knew then he would be captured." - mayor answered.
"Logical... that is bad. Ok and what have he done?"
"Oh that buster destroyed bridge, few markets, a lot of homes of the citizens, 5 electric power substations..." Richard wanted to continue but Baal interrupted him:
"Electric power substations??? That is intersting. As I know his power is in electricity. Hmmm, that is clue. Mr. Gordon how many substations remained undamaged?"
"He turned the electricity off for the half of city, there are 4 remained."
"Could you show me them on the map?"
Richard took the map of the city and marked dots where destroyed and undamaged substations placed.
"Here, you can take this map."
"Thank you Mr. Gordon, I hope in a few days you will calmly be preparing to the next elections and forget about that boy." - Baal thanked and went.
On the street he saw bored Geist, told him about conversation and then said:
"I don't know what for electric power substations for him: maybe to recharge, or to improve his superpower, but in both cases we should hurry up. Furthermore, as we could know his superpowers are not nature but artificial. Although average artificial superpower is weaker than nature but probably it could be increased in strength infinitely."

Alex was hugged by all of his old buddies, and said hi to the new members of the team.
- there's only seven of you. Where's Bear and Bishop?
- Bear is out protecting Matt. And Bishop went with Jaina to get supplies from the nearest town.- Replied Swede, the leader of the mercs.- It was pretty rough since we came here. Good thing they've sent a Section 3 operative. Those fresh IDP recruits can't even hold a rifle straight. And the ego... bigger than those Federation goons. But hey, cannon fodder remains cannon fodder.
They all laughed.
Two more men entered the tent. A bulky short man carrying a rifle, and a athletically built man in his mid twenties. He was carrying a strange device.
- Oh hi Alex, how's your new job?
- Fine Matt, just fine. So tell me lad, just how big is this mess you got into this time?

"Aha! Easy! You get some of the Mayor's men to be spotters at each of the stations to know where we, not you, need to teleport to. Then we'll get there and slice 'im, and people with powers are tastier than those without..." said Geist with a devilish grin.
