Matt smiled.
- a huge one. Seven attacks in past for days- he fixed his glasses- that stupid journalist literally painted a target on our backs.
- Hm, I see. What's her name again?
- Lisa Scott.
- Not saying I'm a fan of her's but sometimes she does a good job. But mostly just makes matters worse. So, what do you moles unearthed this time?
- The biggest discovery is a type of hidden base or hangar filled with some sort of repulsorlift vehicles, technologically wise almost identical to 'Nightwing'. Same alloy, similiar devices. We're guessing that this base has connections to 'Base Omega' discovered by our grandpa. But unfortunately we have explored very little of the facility. Everything is sealed.
- We're home!- shouted a lively woman's voice. A robed man and a woman in her mid-twenties. She hugged Alex.
- Ok, Jen quit it! You're choking me! I'm happy to see you to sis. Glory to Christ, Bishop!
- For eternity, amen.- replied the robed man.
- Continue Matt.
- As I said most of the facility is sealed. We sent a probe drone via air went to see what's inside.
- And..?
- Everything's clear. It looks like it's denizens abandoned it, but shut it air tight.
- I see. Grandpa mentioned that in Base Omega he encountered similiar problems.
- Wanna see our finds?
- Sure. After I talk to Swede.

"Everything is OK. Eight men, two for each station have just departed. They will be at the positions in up to twenty minutes. We have a radio connection with them. Hold this transmitter. I have similar. So I have 20 minutes for rest, wake me up if important."
The Baal found silent place in the park and absorbed in meditation...

Alex and Swede went outside. They walked to Nightwing, and Alex drove out his motorcycle.
- I see you kept your Reaver.
- After all I built it from scratch. Been working on a sidecar, but only on schematics. Tell me, how's the team hanging?
- Fine. Magpy is very skilled engineer, despite her complexities.
- What kind?
- She's a mutant too, Scorch. Also a telepath, but on a much smaller scale than you. Mostly she uses her gift to electrify her hammer.
- I see. I think I could help her to accept herself as she is. Tell me, how long you're holding out here?
- Two maybe three weeks. IDP sent some backup several times, but they've all been wasted. Intentionally we were hired to provide protection from raiders and thieves. But thanks to that journalist we're attracting all sorts of trouble. We're becoming your siblings' personal army- he giggled.- Don't get me wrong, it's a pleasure to work for them. And we're not risking our heads to piss off you Scorch. Who else would blow up a hole in the asteroid belt?
They both laughed.
- I wasn't blessed by the media. They portrayed me as a psychopath nutcase, no matter that my team prevented a possible invasion.
They walked over to mercs jeep.
- I see that Hellbender is modified further. And your new demolitions expert?
- Blaze? A bit pyromaniac, but as long as he blasts the enemy he's fine. Utilizes in everything that involves napalm.
- So you found perfect replacements for me?
- After you pulled our arses after that affair in China. We're owe you a life time debt.
- Rule 1, an Iron Wolf never leaves his comrades in trouble.
- True. Well, I don't think we want to keep Matt waiting. Let's go.

As everybody is doing whatever it is they are doing, a siren begins to wail inside the Base. Small pockets begin to open up, and large mechanical creatures come tearing through. Some look like round pods with 3 metalic legs, some like miniture stealth bombers, and some others are humanoid looking except for their metal exoskeleton.
"Target identified. Ship trail leads here, these biological entities are responsible for the destruction of our vessals. Initiate and destroy all life forms."
"Acknowledged. Organic entities locked..beginning assult sequence."
More and more portals are opening, spewing forth more and more of the robots.

The duo went back into the tent.
Everyone was looking at a strange bracer like aparatus.
- It looks like it's a weapon. Possibly a melee one.
- If it's a melee weapon, where is the blade?- Asked Bishop
- I think the blade is energetic. It would be the only explanation. It seems that this sample is older than anything else we found here. Do any of you remember the Lacerta File?- Matt looked around.
- You mean the one that says that we humans were created as an experiment?
- The very same. It says that a huge war broke out for Earth. Some speculate that this was the biggest Utopian and Rutopian conflict.
- And what do you say?
- That it's bullsnow. The two races that battled 65 milion years ago are much more simple. One has many similiarities to us, humans. We dubbed them 'Aquilians'. Other race bears resemblance to theropodic dinosaurs, so we named them 'Saurians'. Archeological findings show that they were extinct by the time of WWI. While other finds show that another race evolved from reptiles here on Earth.- Matt took a sip of water and turned on a holo projector.- this is how they look like, according to a skeleton found in Antarctic.
A hologram showing a humanoid with reptilian features apeared.
- So you're saying that we've been living amongst them?
- Yes. They aren't comunicating much. Prefered not to contact with us at all. Possible minor contact with geologists and cave explorers over the years. They seem to talk any language, without any problems.
- You're pretty confident about this are you bro?- asked Alex. He was examining the bracer.
- I sure am. Because we found a living specimen. We'll he's cryogennically frozen, but still.
Alex's jaw dropped open after he heard this.

-Well first of all let's go see this guy..Pelok was it? Tracey said. Since he is a common target for smugglers and robbers he is the best place to start. If our guy's not there, then let's check on the other two scientists, Mitchell and Elain. When Tracey got to Elaine he became silent and just sat still and stared straight ahead, as in deep thought. Just to be on the safe side, let's wait with the dangerous ones until we only have them left. Let's go shall we?

"I knew it wasn't over yet"
Jorn grabs his swords and battle armor.
he takes off...when he arrives..he sees the enamies are poping up all over the place.Jorn has no choice but to fight his was to the armory.Once he has cleared a path to it.he stocks up one weapons and explovies.Once he grabs all he can.he then goes to the communations room he was able to set off the panic button.
"The attention to all G.R. this is not a drill.We are all under attack.I repete this is not a drill."
Jorn returns back to the battle.

Alex heard the engines of a spacecraft.
- Expecting someone?- Alex grabbed his weapon. A chainsaw bayonet was attached to it.
- No...- Said Jaina.
- Ready yourselves!- Alex took a simple grenade, and threw it outside. It's explosion was followed by a crackling of electric charges.
- Formation Hunting pack, kill everything that isn't human!- Comanded Alex- Blaze, your coming with me. Hawk, provide us cover fire! Ok team, let's rearrange the landscape!
- Attention all G.R. ... - Alex heard Jorn's plea for help.
- I have my own pests here, you are on your own lad!
Alex fired at the aproaching mass of aliens aproaching from the three eliptical ships. Hawk sniped most of the drones. Alex only saw Bishop charging straight to the mass with his charged up maul. The old man's zeal combined with hatred for aliens was a powerfull weapon. Other members of the team were blasting the aliens from the Hellbender.
- Cyber Rat, situation?
- We're pretty screwed man! Their vessels have portals, so blast the ships.
- Me and Blaze are on it.
The two moved near the ships. Having no time to reload Alex sliced them with his bayonet. They moved as quickly as possible. Blaze covered Alex while he planted C4.
- Swede, what the hell are you doing here?
- Covering your ass, so Scorch, hurry!
He planted the last C4.
- Move on to the next one!
Alex saw the Marauder taking off. Magpy manned one of it's light turbolaser cannons.
"Bishop, get out of the mass!"- Alex contacted the old monk mentally. He was planting explosives at another ship. The last vessel was taking off.
- Ace, gun it down!
- No need to say twice comrade!- a blast from an ion cannon short circuited the alien ship. It then received a rocket barrage. A flaming cigar like vessel fell down. Alex set the timer for the explosives.
- 20 seconds! Move it!
They ran shooting and screaming like complete lunatics. The two remaining ships exploded. The alien attack force was cornered, and torn apart by Bear's heavy laser cannon.
- Everyone alright?- Asked Psycho.
Almost all of them had minor injuries, including blaster burns, broozes and minor bleeds. Those who were aboard vehicles were unharmed.
- What the hell were those things?- Asked Matt- And did you had to make such a mess?- He overviewed the area full of corpses, destroyed drones and three piles of burning junk that a few seconds ago were starships.
- Rule 17 lad, always make sure they're dead.- Smilingly said Alex
Matt kicked a mutilated corpse. It was clearly massacred with a chainsaw.
- Looks dead to me.
- It is now.- Alex's body sored all over, but he still laughed.

Baal and Geist rushed to the hot spot...
Everything was in flame there, buildings were half-destroyed, hundreds of dead were lying on the street, high voltage cables were torn and ground was fizzing with annoying electricity sound. Rangers saw young boy holding torn cables in his hands and laughing and near 50-year old human in the metal armour and with a flame-thrower in his hands.
As oldman saw rangers, Baal fastly said Geist:
"Take care about boy, if he'll try to escape, you can teleport follow him. And I will cope with oldman."
Geist run to the young mutant and in the same time oldman jumped down where Baal was standing.
Oldman pulled the trigger and the flame from his weapon wrapped Baal.
"Die! Die, block of ice." - human yelled and began to laugh.
But the fire didn't affect Ingvar due to his immunity. "Idiot" - thought Baal, then created ice cube and threw it. Oldman felt and began to bleed. He said:
"It is now too late, you won't stop him. He is too powerful now. I have created him, oh my little boy. Ha ha ha." - oldman began to laugh.
"Argh, shut up!!!" - Baal shouted and froze him.

Baal hears a *Crack* ... *Crack* *CRACK* sound. Next thing he knows an entire building is headed straight toward him, falling from the damage caused by the individuals. There is no time to move, no time to react..nowhere to go.
Next thing he knows, he feels soft fur..and then he isn't where he was. He can see the building, at a safe distance fall on the old man, shattering him to a billion peices. Nothing could survive that.
"Rawr..you .. ok?" comes a very feminine feline voice. "Building..fall down. Not good to .. be under." The voice has a very thick Japanese accent.
Baal also sees a female with feline features popping in and out of exsistence freeing people from the wreckage of the building.

Base - Jorn is getting forced farther and farther back. For every one he kills two more comes from one of those blasted portals. They are as thick as flies. He hears something. "Alright boys...give em hell."
As he gets to a corner, with nowhere to go, he is completely surrounded. Suddenly a very big ... lizard comes thrashing through the bots. It looks like a honest to goodness T-Rex. It skids to a stop inches from him. "Sir! There are too many Sir! We need a strategic retreat until we can get some reinforcements Sir!" the .. T-Rex is ... talking to him?

Suddenly the T-Rex is a Rhedin (Venetion style Stallion with very thick hide and six legs). It pushes through the machines with ease. As they make it to an escape pod, the Rhedin becomes a Venetian male. "Time to GO!" he grins and gets in the pod.

Alex and Magpy were repairing the Hellbender. Other members of the team were cleaning up the campsite, and burning the alien corpses.
- So tell me Michelle, how early you harnessed your power?
- At the age of 8. My parents were enraged, and dumped me at an orphanage.
- I see. You had a tough life. That's no reason to forsake your gift. I never had a problem with it.- a blowtorch flied to his hand- See? It's a part of you. Just train everyday. You'll soon learn to take a full advantage of it.
Matt ran into them. He appeared very exited.
- I believe I found a way to defrost our reptilian friend!

As Baal was rescued, Geist teleported behind the oldman and killed him, absorbing his soul while also passively siphoning the souls of the dying humans around him.
The boy turned and tried to kill Geist with a bolt of electricity, but Geist's quick reflexes saved him as he dodged the bolt. He quickly took out his magnum and shot the boy in the foot. The boy fell, clutching his foot and crying. Geist walked up to him and knocked him out, then, with the boy slung over his shoulder, Geist walked over to where Baal was and said to the female, "Leave us, he is fine."

The one standing next to Baal says. "Yes..my appologies.." and starts to back up, bowing and getting ready to depart.
Suddenly..there are two of her. Absolutely identical, except one stands a lot straighter then the other. "HSSS. Sod off you ungrateful git. She saved the blokes life, and this is the thanks she gets? Get bent. Come on love, we don't wanna be where we ain't wanted, afor I teleport this cor's hide to tha' nearest black hole." the accent is unquestionably ... Australian. Which makes zero sense.
"Yes Teira." mumbles the first, or you think it is the first one you encountered.

the group went to the unearthed alien base. The pod housing the creature was in freshly opened chamber.
Matt and Cyber Rat were aproaching the consoles, but Alex stopped them.
- I'd rather examine his mind mentally, to see if he's hostile or not.
Matt nodded.
Alex's hand touched the glass near the creatures head. His own mind entered it's.
Alex saw a great battle. Hordes of human and reptilian humanoids charged up against armored soldiers. The battle was intense, energy and metal blades risen and fallen. The armored invaders had no chance against the combined army of humans and reptilians. A great explosion appeared in the horizon.
- No!- he heard a lizardman's voice, probably belonging to the frozen creature- Your city has fallen! We have failed!
- No! Look! The invaders are retreating! We pushed them back!
More and more explosions followed the first one.
Alex was brought back to reality. His mental presence was ejected from the creature's mind.
- Defrost it.- Alex lifted thumbs up to Matt.
