I like the Breeder it looks promising, wonder how its' abilities will work, and if it is an elite or if it is the champion.

I must say the Inferno faction this time has really taken a more nightmarish turn for the better I'd say, but there are too many eyes missing :/

It's already been confirmed that the Pit Fiend is the Champion (since we know the full lineup now, the Pit Fiend description is confirming it as well).

Not so sure really

I love that they reinvent the factions, but err a non moving imp spawning blop? it's the looks of it, not the idea

So for now I am sceptic and maybe later I will be amazed

Color me surprized, i didn't expect them to bring out a creature like this. This creature has the potential to be incredibly awesome.

Also, those little imps from the artwork look pretty neat too.

I could mention countless examples of hero atb deciding a battle before it started or why this system was ultimately a failure.

Sorry, but that was not the ATB system's fault, that was because they were such imbeciles as to make Dark overrule Light - and vice versa - instead of making them negate each other, like would be the obvious choice.

Heroes 5 Initiative system may not have been flawless, but it just seems to open so many more doors than oldfashioned each creature once per turn system.

Like I said there are countless examples of why this system failed. Heroes acting in specific order added more possibilities but it killed balance.

I like the Breeder very much. I always enjoyed having the spell Create Illusion or having Genies that could cast create illusion in HOMM4 because you could slow down the advancing enemy by putting a false creature in their path that they'd have to fight. It wasted their time and precious goes and was incredibly fun!

I'm under the impression that the Breeder is having the same mechanic. You can flood the enemy with little Imps which not only will get in their way/block pathways/block shooters, but will also deal damage and are not part of your army, so it doesn't matter about the losses. Also they fly. Sounds so fuuuuunnn!!!

The Breeder then seems like an advanced shooter. It's shots will get in your way and attack you. And since the Imps fly, the Breeder is like a flying unit in some sense.

Breeder is also an offensive units, very fitting to Infernos offensive behavior, the most fun offensive unit so far! With all those Imps, things will get a little chaotic. Just how Inferno likes it!

Also it looks like a cross between the stabby trees from Half-Life and a human heart. LIKE. I want HOMM6 more than ever!

I like the similarities to Cthulhu, but I also think it's probably a step in the wrong direction for HoMM.  We've never seen tentacle monsters coming out of the Inferno, and I don't see why we have to start seeing them now.

That said, the mechanics of the Breeder sound very interesting.

           I`m, with Alcibiades on the initiative think, but in H5 it was really annoying the hole unbalance, for start I would have hoped they would fix it, in a new Game H6 and made something like this, Heroes are first always, the one attacking  goes first, the creature`s  would have fix initiative points let’s say creature A has 40 points and B 20 the turn last until all points are spent and depending on creature type  caster melee ranged ,  and the action they take the use up a amount of points for example  let’s say a caster would use all of his point when casting offensive  or  third if half casting defensive  and 1 third if moving or something on those lines .

             I think it`s not the best solution, non the less it`s more faire than percent calculation like in Heroes 5 , and not the old stile like in Heroes 3.

             P.S. Absolutely love the new art direction taken with the Necros … hmm in Disciples 3 add-on they seem to invest as much attention with the Undead … weird coincidence

Besides, I would also like to suggest some great creatures like the Mermaid/Syren and Sea Monster/Leviathan(H4) and also maybe adapt some Warcraft-like creatures? like the Murloc and Myrmidon(Male naga) I think they'd fit in with a water-themed Naga town

As much as I love Warcraft, no, lets not.

For aquatic creatures that would mesh nicely with Heroes, I'd go for the following:

Sahuagin, Bunyip, Kappa, Kraken, Sea Serpent, Leviathan, Karkinos, Scylla and Nereids.
Edit: To explain.
Sahuagin: Fish Man
Bunyip: Bog dwelling amphibious monster from Aboriginal myth.
Kappa: Turtle like spirit creature from japanese mythology.
Sea Serpent: Durr...
Leviathan: Again probably don't need to explain, I'd give it a believable form of terrestrial locomotion though.
Karkinos: Giant crab from Greek myth.
Scylla: Many headed monster that ate crew from Odysseus' ship.
Nereids: Sea nymphs.

Honorable mention goes to Charybdis but I just cannot imagine that concept being adapted for Heroes.

Also I'm a big Fortress (H3) fan and would love to see them return in some form or another.

I guess I wasn't the only one writing "Fortress" in that survey then.

But I would not want the Naga and Medusa in the same town, they are to similar. The Medusa should be some kind of Naga then but I would prefer an asiatic theme.

I really like the breeder design (and the imp improved a lot in design IMO). The creature reminds me to Guild Wars's realm of torment, specially the brood mother.

And if the classic Imp was a pain to some spellcasters, specially on the first levels, I can't imagine how much painful a creature that creates imps and consumes mana to feed or impregnate herself could be.

Waiting for the final haven unit.

The breeder seems relatively similar to the new lich: the tentacloid spikes protruding from their body are unmistakably similar to the greenish lich ones.

Question:
1. Lore wise, how the Inferno Hero move his/her army with breeders on it? As far as I concern it (the Breeder) can't move, isn't it?
2. Can Breeder use gating? If yes, can the "gated" Breeder produce Imps?
3. How the Imps will be represented in-game? as Unit stack? or just a weapon to be thrown (I hope not)?
4. Will Imps still possess its mana steal capability?

Damn, I really like the new inferno now. I became a big fans of Inferno in Heroes V because of the gating, now it also has a very interesting Line-up.

My best guess with the breeder would be that is a unit similar to a carrier in starcraft just immobile, which creates little imps  (either would have number limitation either mana), so you could gate them .
They could also consume the mana to produce more imps (if imp creation is based on mana)  either to regenerate or even give to hero.
In the pictures the imp looks like a flyer so he could count as one for the faction, none the less intriguing creature.
