Havens and infernos themes are really nice, now they just need proper townscreens to match the atmosphere

I love the new music themes, especially the Stronghold.

However, is that seriously the Necropolis theme?!  I would have never guessed that by just listening to that.  I honestly would have said Sylvan/Elven or Academy lol.

The inferno music is somewhat strange.As if I have listened it somewhere,especially at 1.50.
The part at 1.50 reminds me of Assasins creed,just the 2second choir anyway.Its better than the old ones were.

Stronghold theme is pretty is good aswell,perhaps the best one.

Other then that,the other themes are forgettable.

To be blunt,I expected more.

It's from Dark Messiah. Actually, it's 2 tracks,  this and this

I like the DM score so it doesn't bother me so much, I'd like to hear this during a boss fight

I think the H6 music is ok. I quite like the Inferno, Stronghold and Main Menu themes. My least favourite theme is Necropolis, it's a nice tune but it doesn't sound dark enough. I think the Sanctuary theme sounds more menacing.

Compared to previous games the music doesn't stand out to me. It's not bad, but I think I preferred previous games and particularly H4.

A specific criticism is that all the themes are very slow in tempo. They're epic but none of them have much energy (listen to something like the H4 Sea or Preserve themes for comparison). There was more layering and multi-voiced melodies in H4, which I really liked (the Hope theme is a good example).

Many of the H6 themes have no melody line as such, they're going more for string section stuff with simple war drums. I agree that as a consequence they are somewhat forgettable. Hopefully some of the HVI themes we've yet to hear will have a bit more energy and a more distinct melodies. So far it seems they've overused the slow epic theme concept.

I would like this as a music for battle scenes.If music is as moddable as it was in H5,it will be possible.

Hm, so it's not original but copy-pasted? Could it be so only for the beta? I like the Inferno theme though, it sounds dark and threatening but for a faction which is all about aggressiveness maybe something more energetic will sound more appropriate. The Heroes III Inferno theme is dark and threatening as well but also powerful, grand. Something like that will fit the new Inferno better, provided that the old was more about sneaky tactics than wholesale onslaught.
The Haven theme is also nice but the respective town window is pathetic compared even to the rest of the pathetic town windows (except maybe Necropolis). Sanctuary are a bit boring, Stronghold are OK and Necropolis I don't like at the moment (sounds weird).

By the way, any news on the insider forum? It's been almost three weeks and all we've gotten is a technical patch.

Reporting bugs on forums is not very professional. I really hope this beta wasn't just a marketing scheme.

I'm afraid we've got nothing. We're waiting and twiddling our thumbs just as you are.

I agree that Rob and Paul are quite a bit off again this time, sadly and surprisingly. It's a pity because, considering the remixes, they had less work. At least the main theme is pretty good.

just as I thought. their progress through the patching is not good, I fear the worst, it felt a de-ja-vu of Heroes V all the way around again this time. I hope not actually but judging from the pathetic town windows, number of addressed bugs (that have no further fix even in beta). For now, I will wait and see before passing my final decision to buy the game or not.

It's been obvious for quite some time that there would be NO patch during the beta. Basically, since we were told that most bugs we were reporting had most likely already been fixed on Black Hole's internal build, making this beta just some worthless bugged demo (any of our balance feedback/suggestion can only be flawed by bugs).

They also already hinted that the town windows would not change before the release date, so consider them final. They might change at some point ... or not.

How the hell they would test the balance issue? I mean, if I remembered correctly the reason why Blizzard do constant patch (weekly even 2 times a week) on their beta testing games (specifically Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2) is to address balance issues. I mean even if they balanced some things the play style might changes accordingly and new balance issue might emerge and Beta testing is... argghhh forget it. The issue for town windows already reduced my interest too much.

It is already clear that this beta is no beta at all so no need to worry about fixing the balance and so on. One patch will be completely insufficient to address the mess that the balance currently is and there are no signs that such patch will ever be released. Most likely we'll see a repetition of the Heroes V scenario with 20 of Klaus' Champions killing 15 Black Dragons in one hit without anyone from the devs noticing that it does not look cool at all until the game's release.

Nah they know of the issues. They may be unlikely to correct everything but the major issues should be addressed at the very least.

I wanted to criticise the music as well, but I thought it's not final.

In any case, all of this is way too familiar and I don't think protesting again will change their minds. We can try though.

I hope they change the inventory system. As it is now it's very tedious to exchange artifacts betweem heroes, sometimes artifacts are lost in transition, have to shuffle with others to make it reappear and then repeat process. Sometimes the artifacts follows the cursor but no way to make it land in the next inventory (and I mean general inventory not corresponding slot as sometimes the class doesn't allow to equip).

Also very hard to find cursor of exchange betweem heroes on the adventure map when the heroes are near a town. The cursor changes as the one for entering town. Have to move the heroes or rotate camera. Well not very pratical. Also a hero in garrison when selected immediately goes out of town and must reenter it for example to cast town portal. Little things but it takes on the nerves .
