Nah, I'm content to just sit back and call you an abrasive, self-centred twit.

Now as much as I agree with what you are saying, I have to call you out here. As much as I like to see people getting a taste of their own medicine, and Nightterror deserves this, this is just insulting people. This is what starts those horrible flamewars.

Now the whole debate is not about original ideas, or loving fantasy , or loving magic, or anything like that. The debate is older than the Roman Empire. This is pure and simple, it is the debate between conservatism and progressionism. About people who do not want accept things are moving on and people who don't mind or aplaud things moving into the future.
Nightterror is obviously a conservative and there is nothing wrong with this. However she has the slight problem that she isn't very subtle and has slight trouble restraining herself. I'd like to say that this is a classic example of what a fanboy/fanrgirl is. And she also shows why there are people realy do not like fanboys/fangirls.

I for one, and I have said this time and time again, am a very big fan of Ubisofts decision to base the factions one a single race and give them several allies. Instead of the previous notion that a faction was based on the lay of the land or a single theme.

Ok, after being back from a lost friday. I've checked the new pics from the Stronghold. I have to say that I'm liking what I'm seeing and I am very much looking forward to seeing the artwork for those units.
But I have some questions about them as well.
Why does the Shaman have such a gnarled, mutated arm?
Why is the Centaur Elite? It used to be a tier 2. Why is there such a discrepancy in their power? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Centaur should be at a fixed level, I just want the explaination.
And lastly, how does a Human get mixed with Orcs? Orcs tend to hate humans. I know that as an illegitimate child he would be an outcast, but I'd like to know why the Orcs accept him.

Also, I would like to know when we get to hear about abilities? Elvin, nothing personal, but you're yanking out chains when you say things like: "Wait 'till you see what abilities unit X has."

As much as Nighterror has some problems restraining herself, she's right that the Orcs are monotonous and boring at the moment. Changing the name of one or two creatures won't help though, but at this stage they ain't gonna change anything else, so adapting to their drabness is the only feasible approach. I'm not gonna play with them anyway, their whole concept is downright generic and daft, especially when the rest of the generic and daft factions are being somewhat refreshed.

For same reason why the Cyclops (if it's Cyclops indeed) will be roughly as powerful as the Pit Fiend, which was one tier below it previously. They said so.

That's no explaination whatsoever. "They said so" is never a good reason. I beleive Cepheus told us that the switchings in power had a good base and the Seraph-Angel problem had a reasonable explanation as well. Seeing as how Cepheus generally is even more critical than I am, I want to know the reasonings.

The artwork looks better than the unit models as far as I am concerned. Afraid I don't know the answers to most of those, as for the shaman I'd guess it's part of the ritual of becoming a shaman or maybe a side effect of the magic he uses. He is a caster much like the H5 shamans but I do not know his might capabilities.

Romero and King can conduct herein Pecs the Cultural capital city of Europe in 2010, now we have a great Concert Centre the Kodály Zoltan concert Centre. So they can make the official Heroes VI music here, its from 200 km from Budapest where Heroes VI is developed.

Many famous musician commendatory was great about this facility. For example: Maxim Vengerov, Al Di Meola
The acoustics of the building is fantastic they said.

Here is a picture about it:

Of course it isn't, but I strongly doubt that we'll get a better one. You can also ask how come the Griffin is the same tier as the Cavalier (it's still a bloody Gendarme just like the previous Castle/Haven heavy cavalry, no matter how irradiated his horse is), but... you know... they said so.
About the Seraph - I'm interested in their explanation how an upgraded Angel from Heroes V turns into a lesser Angel (or whatever it is) from MMH VI.

Me I've always wondered the other way around. How on earth is a freaking lion with wings lesser to a swordsman or cavalry? Or why would a centaur be so much weaker than a unicorn despite having so similar a body and being known for their gentle nature whereas centaurs were savages and trained for war. I think they are just looking at it from a fresh perspective. As for the seraphs they more or less were filler since they had to give a name to the alternative angel.

It isn't safe bet. Now Germany and France are in the same union (EU). So is it a safe bet to say that in the second world war France and Germany were partners? And it was only ~60-70 years ago.

I actuallu found it quite reasonable that Griffins are weaker than Cavaliers. Birds are quite frail, their hollow bones are designed to take the stress of flying, but they break easily. Also to propell their bodies in the air, Griffins have to be very light-weighted. There is a difference between the light-weigth Griffin, no matter how fierce it is, and the nearly weighing a ton mass of muscle and steel of a cavalier coming at you.

Also, the EU isn't as close knit as they would like to appear. Germany, France, Brittain, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and all the other countries have disputes about everything and anything. On top of that, Germany and France were at each others throats in the 2 world wars, but the political quilt of Europe is one of ever changing alliances in the past and I doubt the EU will change that much. Germany and France have allied together against Brittain and Spain in the past. The Countries of Europe all have had alliances and wars with eachother.

I'm not talking about the common sense - which the creatures in MMH VI are lacking even more than in the previous games - but about the arbitrary arrangement of the creatures in comparison with the previous games and particularly Heroes V which is from the same universe.
As for the Seraph - well, if their logic is "we named the previous Seraph in a hurry, 'twas a padding and nothing more, so don't pay so much attention to the discrepancies", it will be pretty cheap and lazy excuse. It's not like they can't rename the current Seraph at any time (at least until recently, if what Cepheus says about the localization is true).

That elite big orc thing is just a new proof of devs lazyness, instead of making new model of some cool beast, people are crying for (thunderbird) they just choose to resize a booring orc.

War-overlord, i dont mind factions beeing based around a race, i actually support the idea howerver wouldnt be something like a panther/tiger rider much more interesting addition to the stronghold as a big orc with claws?? Of course that would take a bit more time  and work to produce. (lazy devs)

Well, no, I said I hoped so. I'm assured there will be much longer creature descriptions and an emphasis on getting the lore in order this time (and I have it on good authority that the campaign storylines are FAR better than the previous effort - if they're not, believe me, I'll be the first to whine ).

If you saw the leaked Igromir video, the player enters the hero interface and brings up Sveltana's biography for a second - look at it, it's a goddamn essay. My hope is that there will indeed be some explanations given in these kinds of things.
