Just a note. If anyone have watched the Van Helsing movie and the Underworld film franchise. THOSE are great example on how werewolves are a misunderstood people. Take Lucien for example, towards ordinary people hes neutral at worst, but turns out to be a really good guy who only want to free his lycan allies from the slavery the vampires have put them under. I found it an interesting concept.
And in the Van Helsing movie, the werewolves were portraied as savage beasts as well. But they are the only one who could kill Dracula. Kind'a new twist to it all but I found it creative and fresh.
And last. Werewolves have been in M&M 6 as far I know and in the HoMM 3 mod WoG as I have mentioned a bunch of times. Why not show up again in full glory to their name?
I dont really care if Werewolves are part of a town or not. But they shouldnt be portraied as EVIL. They should be neutral IMO.
Also the developers could either go for the cursed type of werewolves or the science-nature kind which could explain the werewolf trait by natural means.
But oh well, I've talked my head off  These were my opinions and I hope I contributed to some inspiration and afterthought regarding these classical creatures. The vampires have got their show-off in every HOMM game, now its time for the rise of lycans!

Werewolves in Underworld were very, very well done, I couldn't agree more.
As mythological creatures they definitely deserve a place in the Heroes series; Sylvan would seem the logical town to put them in. And hey, if they can make Necromancers not evil, making werewolfs not evil should be a breeze.

YES! I love the werewolves in Underworld. A dark themed nature town with marauders, wargs, witches/hags, werewolves, nightmares (since they are banned from inferno) and nightshade (a big winged creature that engulfs enemies with its wings and drains their life force) and maybe a champion spell-caster as somekind of a witcher will be great

But as I said before how about a nature aligned town but instead of the Elves being all goody, a new and savage faction?

I'm praying, all fingers crossed, that the 4th one would be Sylvan ;p Personaly I can't imagine heroes without it, this being my absolute fav faction and all

I'm from Poland and few days ago games magazine Play had this cover:
and this changed my opinion about 4th faction. The shy girl on the right is wearing armor and is green-brown themed. Wizard would wear white/gold robe, this girl looks like a ranger. Half-elf? Maybe.
And she is preety hot IMO

Old news, and the girl is actually a Necromancer.
And I still think the fourth faction will be Stronghold. Mark my words

Yeah, saw this pic The armor DOES look earthly themed (as far as it's visible), BUT what about the glowing green eyes and belt? Those screem 'Necromancy' to me, so IDK, I can't believe 100% she's from Sylvan...

Haven solely relies on Light, the "holy" magic of Elrath and his ideals of Truth, Justice, and Purity.
Demon magic is drawn from raw chaos and destructive by nature. Overall demons show an unsurpassed ability to use the most negative aspects of magic (direct damage, damage over time, debuffs)..
Most of their spells are in fact corrupted versions of the "regular" elemental spells.
The Death Lords focus on the destructive paths of magic with a predilection of the Primordial magic of Order and the elemental spheres of Darkness and Earth. They have also discovered their own branch of magic which they call necromancy. Most of their spells consist in eroding the body and dominating the spirit.
Haven = Light
Inferno = Fire
Necropolis = Earth + Darkness + Primordial
5th Faction = Water
Using the powers of deduction, this leaves us with the 4th faction basing it's magic on Air. This could be Academy.
But this doesn't make sense. Necropolis has to have 1, not 3.

I think Necropolis should have only Dark, which would leave Earth to Sylvan

That was my thinking as well, until this news about primordial/darkness/earth magic.
Maybe you're biased because you want London Zoo, I know I am. I want to see some wizard's sleeves so bad! and Air magic seems to suit them as their castle was last seen in the sky.
If Wizards are the 4th faction, they will be speedykillers, and air is fast. Unlike the updates. Updates will not be the 4th faction.
I'm trying to put evidence over interest, but it's difficult when you're being driven mad.

OFC I'm biased, but aren't we all? I've only ever heard about Necromances having Evil, nothing more, that why I said that. Ofc the developers might have changed that up a bit, who knows right?
Sylvan or Academy. I still believe that the 4th faction will be either of those. I like the wizards, don't get me wrong all the cool magic and the arabic feel they have, but my loalties lie with the Zoo

I was playing around with this artwork and found some interesting stuff in it. When you look at the composition of the picture its clear that the logo isn´t in the center of the screen, actually the whole imgage is sort of leaning to the right (regarding the position of the siblings). Futhermore, parts of the picture is "clouded" in several places. If one would drag out the picture to the left so its equal in size on both sides of the logo, 2 siblings would clearly fit there. Then the middle one (haven) would have three persons on each side shaped as a V.
I changed some properties in the picture and i at lest think its possible that the clouded parts are infact hiding stuff, like the remaining siblings. The pic was cut since it would be to obvious if the whole left part was clouded and not the right.
It could just be that i´m bored to...and tired of waiting
