I'm personally happy with the Orcs as the 4th faction, and I bet now the 5th will be more of a Magic-type faction.  If it's Underground to any extent then a lizard/naga type would still work.  

I'm also guessing that the Cyclops will NOT be the champion unit, similar to H3.

The German M&M page says that the Cyclops will return, unfortunately.

So, if this is indeed true, the Cyclops will be the champion unit.

Jungle orks just feel weird. :\

I'd be fine with Plains Orcs, but the jungle style really doesn't do it for me, and I was hoping for a more reptilian jungle town. Barbarian/Stronghold has always been about rough and sparse terrain, having them in a lush jungle just feels wrong.

Because. I never liked them: too barbaric for my tastes. And IDK it just feels wrong for me, I was all pumped up waiting for elves and BAM! here come wizard experiments gone wrong... *shrugs* not the most well based argumens, but thats how I feel... I'll get over it, eventualy, but I'm still dissapointed

Why would the Cyclops automatically be the champion unit?  How could you be so sure of this?  The Cyclops weren't the T7 creature in Homm3, and I bet they aren't the Champion in H6

But Orcs have been there in ALL Homm like the elves and the academy units. The barbarians, the stronghold and the might faction of H4 had the same theme (tribal, barbarian, wild) so they are part of the series too. Personally i whould prefer Sylvan/Elves/Nature but orcs are ok. Besides this kind of orcs seems more nature based then the others.

Unless the Cyclops shrinks like 20 feet from HV to HVI for some reason, there's no way realistically that any other unit could be a champion simply due to the huge size of the Cyclops.

Now, if they shrink the Cyclops, then it'll work, but then they have to explain why Cyclops are suddenly huge in HV.

Actually a lot of us saw this coming, based on the "Blizzard-esque different races" and the MIGHT-faction arguments.

Maybe Roc/Thunderbird/Wyvern can be the champion, but only because it "has" to be different from H5.

maybe the Cyclops got bigger by natural selection in H5

but anyway, maybe they just ignore that, what is ok to me, and put Roc/Thunderbird as champion, which would be good with the Father Sky thing, I believe.

Of course, this raises questions about how the 5 Siblings thing is going to work, because Academy or Sylvan would be a lot more likely to have a human, as opposed to a race that seems them as vicious overbearing tyrants.

If there are cyclops in the Orc-faction then they better be a Champion. Not because I prefer them over behemoths or anything, but I cant stand the very thought of having them as a low-life elite-unit, it just doesn't fit them :/

Guess that's one of the sad thing about the core/elite/champion-system that the fine line between certain levels are bigger now, so a unit must either be big or small (okey yeah it doesn't have to be this way, but still...)

What were they thinking ???

At least we should give credit for the hard work, its a huge disappointment for me but its still nice to see a might faction. In fact, it wouldn't be might&magic without the might faction.

Why does have to be orcs, stronghold is a way better name, or might as in H4. Hope it wont be full of shape-changing orcs like in H5.
