idk while my family was going through a rough patch and I was left in charge of the lil ones I watched lost with my lil sisters and it was good fun, the series from a critical standpoint is indeed quite crap, but there's a lot to like. I just went full fangirly over Sawyer and didnt give a crap about the story.

It is fun for the first few seasons, until you realize it is just a pile of disconnected pseudo-puzzles that are going nowhere.

LOST starts off awesome and then has diminishing returns. Not the best show ever.
I'm boring. I still think Star Trek Next Generation/Deep Space Nine/Voyager are the best shows. Probably because it's the opposite of Lost. The more you watch them the more you appreciate the character depth and universe.
I like a lot of the new shows out too except some seem a little bit immature somehow. The characters I think are more impulsive than only 10 years ago, in an annoying kind of way. Maybe it's a reflection of changing culture. Maybe I gave up too soon but I had to stop watching Dark Matter because of the nonstop snappy remarks every 3 minutes.

I disliked Dark Matter also, I can't remember exactly what bothered me about it except that I didn't like the characters. And it seems such a weak storytelling way of keeping a mystery - is them to have amnesia and then remember at some point aghg. I know they have no plan, they are gonna invent stuff as they go - just like in lost.
But because this is favorite tv-shows, and speaking of sci-fi, The Expanse season 2 has just started. I like it.

Havent seen it.
The 100 is pretty good except there's one lady I wish would just get speared already. Im so sick of her soccer mom chemical blonde face. The writers decided to make it the sole role of a character to follow another main character around and nag her all day.
Anybody else watching?

ST Voyager is my second favorite - after Stargate. It has some great acting, a very positive and inspired feminist agenda, then there is where I discovered Picardo, which also plays later in StarGate Atlantis, a very versatile character. And some great legs too, Seven of Nine haunted my nights.
Then Goldsmith composing music, when you hear the introduction, you know the show can't be bad.

I never thought about the feminist element, but I guess Voyager is captained by a ginger. Maybe as an affluent white guy I'm too preoccupied with the nerd stuff. Babylon 5, a fantastic space opera from the 90s, also had a ginger captain, but that wasn't until season 5.
Patrick Stewart is the most famous of them - I'm sure because of the movies that went with them - but I loved all of the captains in their own way. They made the shows great. Benjamin Sisko is probably my favorite just because he punched Q in the face.

It seemed like a show about teenage relationships written for teenager target audience with the post-apocalyptic setting being mostly a decor.

Yeah maybe a little bit. I don't think the teenage dynamics take over the show, especially as the people become hardened. If you only went through a few episodes I would give it a chance. The last two parts of season 1 hooked me.

I've been sporadically watching Netflix's "Black Mirror", and quite enjoying most of it. The episodes "San Junipero" and "Be Right Back" are among some of the best written and acted TV episodes I think I've ever watched. Highly recommended.
(It is an anthology show. It is not necessary to watch episodes in order.)
