Favourite dish you like to cook?
Hello Everyone.
I'd just wonder, any hero here is born and bred to cook up something nice in the kitchen?
For me, I like to cook Western favourites like Spaghetti Bolognaise and Marinated Chicken Drumsticks. I also like to cook some more of my traditional foods like Sweet and Sour Pork/Chicken and Black Bean Beef.
I wonder if anyone else here has some favourite dishes they like to cook?

Pörkölt, such simple spices used, but it tastes divine IMO. Due to the simplicity of the dish I mastered its creation early on.

For friends I love doing burrito's, I season my own carne asada meat. BBQ is perfect for carne asada and I love grilled peppers. Although I don't do the California Burrito, as that's just a heart attack in a wrap lmao.
For a proper meal for friends I like doing honey and mustard pork joint, with roast potato's, all the veg and homemade gravy from the juices (the proper way  ).
For myself however, nothing is nicer than marinated/caramelised grilled veg, sometimes also made into a soup. Yum.

Hmm... that's a tough one. I cook and bake a lot, so it's hard for me to think of just one thing. If I had to choose, I would say Steak au poivre. Other favorites include Braciole di Maiale Piccanti (Breaded Pork Chops with Caper Sauce), Cajun Meatloaf, Maque Choux... I could go on forever. I enjoy cooking and baking over video games for stress relief.

I would second Omega in saying that it is hard to pick your favorite dish to make. If I'd ask my family, they'd likely said my Lasagna, as they often beg me to make it. I also have a couple of very tasty pasta-dishes up my sleeve and a few others that aren't as easily classifiable. I enjoy cooking a lot, not for the stress relief though that does work, but more because I consider myself a bit of a gourmand. But if I would have to pick, I'd pick my Gorgonzola Salmon, because that has the greatest result for almost no effort at all.

My favorite for the moment is pineapple cake with an orange marmalade and red raspberry jam glaze
Cause that's the most recent thing I made 
I really can't put my finger on a favorite dish. Just depends on the mood.

More and more I think Omega and I would be good friends if we knew each other in real life. He and I seem to share a lot of interests.
I, too, do a lot of cooking and baking. And while I like to make fancy things from time to time, what I like most is mastering traditional recipes, and especially those deriving from my Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Thus some of my favorites include chicken pot pie (Pennsylvania Dutch style), homemade stocks, oxtail soup, meat loaf, and etc. I also make the best onion quiche this side of the pond. I do a lot of deserts as well, and my favorites are traditional fruit pies, which I can whip up pretty much on the fly. My latest passion is smoking meat on my Big Green Egg.

Yeah I know it's simple, but that doesn't matter. Omelette is a perfect dish simply just because it's so funny to make.

Pasta! All kinds of pasta!
You can't pretty much give pasta ANY flavour! Tex mex pasta? Crayfish pasta? Crab pasta? Everything is possible with pasta!
One of my favorite things to make is Pasta Carbonara with Parmesan cheese. It's so easy to make and delicious to eat.

I agree.
I like to cook more than watching others do it. In fact, Nicole boots me from the kitchen whenever she is cooking. She gets tired of my input pretty quickly.  Often the two of us will bicker about who gets to cook or bake when we both have the day off. Due to her working nights, I tend to get more opportunities, so I tend to back off if she wants to show off her culinary skills.
