Elvin raped me last night with his terrifying orc blood madness - i was nec/mag/blood with uber spell power - with his rush though it made no difference - i didnt have tactics 2, nor terrain to work with, perhaps some lessons but i've got to say, orc might blood nailed my skeleton ass to my magic book, no blood required.

I guess the tourny blood vs tear is setup to determine if this is in fact true, right now indications are pointing towards blood.
Perhaps tears works better for the "turtling" tactic, and not sending troops into the meat grinder?

By taking stronghold might I would have no counter to time stasis, puppet master, petrification, agony etc.
I also would have had even less magic defence.
Also, in normal games I don't buy heroes from taverns because of the -5 level penalty, and that all other heroes you can buy scale from main level hero.

Game - I swear might is still better. You just have to attack him as quickly as possible before he starts crowd controlling your army. Everything that increases initiative works well for that. Beside, how many counters do you have with the mage, one, with only one charge, purity mass?

Can anyone in comm, script a spectator mod for us to watch live duels??
It would really be same principal as live chess - a site i play is www.chesscube.com which allows you to view live games - if there is a coder amongst us, please try - would be awesome!!

Indeed it would be awsome, but since there is literally no way to view fights ingame if your not one of the 2 fighters, I assume it would be almost impossible, especially if it turns out there was no spectator mod for heroes 5. I mean, I don't remember one, but I wasn't much in the scene of heroes 5.

We tried to have our match, but Pancakes disconnected after the opening.
This in itself wouldn't be a problem, but he had superior stats all round, artifact, and field advantage.(After asking a change from one that would have helped me) In these conditions, what I only had left was the element of surprise - and he even took that.
He can have the point if he wants that feather in his cap, but I just don't have it in me to have a rematch under those conditions. These matches should be fun, not grudgingly undergone clashes of pride.
That marks the end of both our runs I believe.

I wish I could kill my internet provider.
I asked to change the first battlefield before we finished tactics phase because it was one of those beach maps and for some reason I always get MASSIVE lag on them (gameslayer can confirm that).
I also want no "feather on my cap". I play for fun, mind you. If I only wanted to win, I would've picked a different game.
Like I wrote in hcm, I was hoping for a rematch but if you don't want to play one, then you take that win. I believe our match was not over and many things could've happened but it was technically my fault for DCing so that's the closest thing to "fair" that I can think of.
EDIT: Oh, also I still have one match to play

It wasn't over by far, but that exact opening was the best I could do, considering the circumstances. Statistically speaking, his victory was certain - the most I could hope for were eventual mistakes, and he already had made some I was planning to exploit, mistakes no-one would repeat knowing the consequences. And, as You know, seeing an opening, it's much easier to guess at what's coming next - precisely the thing which would re-seal the grave of my army would a blow-by-blow rematch be arranged.
I won't be accepting the point - after all I didn't really stand a chance anyway.

I cannot confirm him lagging on beaches, only that he's told me in the past he lags
And since when was playing heroes 6 anything BUT a grueling experience?
Also, you must rmemeber, pan doesn't play well, so ANYTHING could have happened

Even though H6 can be grind, you at least want to feel like you can go into a battle with a good chance, especially having an element of surprise or unknown.
My suggestion, although there is a list of what you must play faction whys, can the 2 of you have a rematch blood vs tear [whichever one you were], but choose your own faction... most amicable solution?
How does the rest of comm feel, Elvin?

Let's say saturday. I will be available from 12 o'clock gmt+1 (unless someone forces me to go and buy food for an hour or two ut there's still plenty of time that day)
But tonight there's a little party starting at 19. And tomorrow there's a concert which means that I must leave at 17.30, starting a duel at 16 is just a little too late.

terrain AAARGGH
Just completed a successful duel against blood orc might, with my haven magic tear.
HOWEVER, and there is a bone of contention, opponent had terrible lay for his might [44 might power OMG], 1 single obstacle, 1 luck monument thing, 1 trap and 1 more obstacle, effectively giving him a 3x channel to get his troop to my turtled haven.
QUESTION
How or can a might faction, having such a crap lay, have any chance of winning?
