I still got 9 cards needed to complete the base set so ill keep chunking out gold 12500 at a time.
But at least i got all the cards i wanted for main deck so i dont feel too pressured about it anymore. 
Next expansion could shuffle some card values as well, and the best way to be prepared is to have most of them ready

I think I'll quit, the endless grinding and repetitive battle patterns are just not worth it. It was fun while it lasted, but if I have to choose between a good, competitive deck and a life, I choose the latter.

A life? Just how much have you been playing? Doc is not a game to take seriously, more like an hour or two waster. Either way check back with the addon when the meta starts evolving again, if my intuition is correct there are going to be great upheavals.

Right now, I have a halfway decent deck, having played 255 duels in about 2 weeks. It went from 'yuck' deck to 'N00b' deck day one, with 2 hours of grinding. My 'N00b' deck got upgraded to its current status of 'Halfway decent' deck the day before yesterday, after about 200 duels of pure grinding. (Of these, 10 or so proved memorable in some way) By my rough estimate, I'd need at least triple the amount of filler matches played so far to get to a point when I can play with a deck I'm excited to test against skilled opponents, and I'd probably still be unsatisfied on the whole. Mind You, that'd be 1 deck, meaning 1 faction, and probably 1 Hero, and IDK how experience requirements change at higher levels. Thanks, but no thanks.

Yo Poly, sorry you feel that way about DoC.
Like Elvin says, it's a light-hearted game and should be seen as such. It's free and alot of fun.....sometimes I wish the attack mechanics in Heroes were as simple as DoC!

@DDeck: I ended up playing a couple of hours anyway,(I've had a ton of very good matches since, a suspicious 'coincidence', but I'll take it) I'm giving DoC a last-chance period of 3 weeks to convince me it's better than it seems. And maybe with affordable Void packs and daily rewards, it will be.

You've seen my kelthor deck, that's not exactly grind necessary.
Only 4 paos and 2 vulture riders that are not common cards in the whole deck.
