I think I have finished people on turn 3 but the specifics escape me Takes plenty of luck, having all the right cards and the opponent missing the means for immediate response. Totally awesome when it happens ^^

Right now sanctuary is a bit underpowered unless you are playing Ishuma, that you can only randomly get through void packs.. But after all the fan feedback I am pretty sure that the devs will have boosted sanctuary significantly. It is an amazing faction, unique compared to the rest. They lack in stats but have such amazing abilities and creative combos that they are a joy to play. If they gain momentum they get stronger and stronger till they steamroll you. But if they lose momentum it's not as easy getting it back Pretty unpredictable either way. As a personal suggestion, do not focus solely on void packs, sanctuary could use plenty of cards from the base set. Particularly water/ice/light spells, according to what hero you play.

Lo and behold, with a combination of the free codes, seals from the campaign, void box discount and approx 2 hours of grinding, I got together a fairly robust Naga deck. Got Ishuma almost immediately, bought the Sanct deck for additional Kappas, Maidens and the weird not-Kenshi card. So far, brute force seems to work - when I get the cards I need- I'm trying my wings, got a few victories already, but the randomness is killing me - literally, on occasion. Any suggestions regarding optimal spell-to-creature ratios? (Fortunes seem underpowered, I don't bother with them most times)

It's a matter of yourself.

My advice:

Fortunes aren't as bad as you think - what about the Labirynth? r if not (rare used) spell is a good way but not too may - few Frozen Terrains, few Winters and lots of creature with Hypnosis

For Ishuma, of course.

@Dave_Jame: That's why I love Inferno, they are the best rushing faction! Nice one on winning battle on turn 4! Those magic creature +1 events certainly helped!

Haven't come across the Labyrinth or 'Winter' yet, will keep an eye out for them. OFC I'm packing tons of Hypnotizing creatures approx 1 in 4 of my creatures have either that or Chill Touch. As for spells, I have plenty of Ice Walls and Frozen Grounds, currently experimenting with punier spells like Refreshing Spring and Heal too. Icy Weapon sounds sexy, but so far I couldn't really take advantage of it by the time I built up 4 magic power (Honor bonuses are easier to focus on.) Should I keep 1-2 around just in case?

Yes, and I don't know the english name of winter, so...

It's the spell that makes creature unable to move and deals it 1 damage on the beggining of its commander's turn

1-2 magic is enough, else don't focus on light magic, especially healing and spring are not very useful

Consider me impressed

Sanctuary has some trouble with bad hands in general as you have every incentive to go for lvl 5 units while other factions will usually go for lvl 3-4 units max. Don't put too many lvl 4-5 units in and you should be fine. Similarly, don't also put high lvl spells or fortunes as you would be spreading yourself too thin. Go for 5/3/1, 6/3/1 or 5/1/3, 6/1/2.

My initial deck had shark, spring spirit, dark assassin(fox if you lack him), snow maiden, coral priestess, shanriya guard, kappa and pearl priestesses with aid from sunburst and geyser. (Notice that from lvl 3 units I jump to lvl 5, which is probably a flaw right there) My current deck looks closer to this, with pearl priestess instead of tide master and kappa instead of naga tactician. Think I'm also using some whirlwinds so that I can return outmaneuver units in hand and use their special again. Anyways there are plenty variations around that, depending on what units you have.

In any case it's better to focus on outmaneuver with snow maiden and pearl priestess for the immobilize special.

I was the second one to play. so not 4 rounds, but 3.
You would need bit more luck then this to make it in rund 3 as tthe first player

Ah yes, eternal winter is fun too. Very cheap, works well with your special Ice wall I would probably avoid as it doesn't prevent fliers from attacking and does not immobilize, like frozen ground does. I'd say refleshing spring and heal are not very useful, sunburst however is essential. Icy weapon can take too long but you could go for bless(light, lvl 3 magic). Other notable spells, ice spikes is ok, geyser rocks. Sadly the latter is rare

Actually, at first glance the deck you linked seems pretty similar to mine. Sadly I lack the rarer cards, but that's probably due to me not having played much yet. The creatures pretty much overlap if you count acceptable substitutions, but I don't have any of the fortunes listed.
Is Cleansing Light/Purity worth it? My instincts scream 'Yes', but I had little use for them up till now.

They are good against stoneshield, that otk(one turn kill) decks use extensively. Don't think you will face (m)any for the time being.

Started running into them, pretty annoying. Almost wiped the floor with the first, if only
a, I knew beforehand the exact mechanics of Stone Shield (I wasted 3 turns waiting for it to expire w/o attacking the hero...)
b, I drew any of my aces before turn 12 or so

In the end he won with 3 points left after the better part of an hour.

Immediately after, I got another of these turtles, but my cards were even worse while he got off to a much faster start, so I forfeited.

I think I've had enough of Ariana of the Trolls, thank You. DoC seems not to be worth the effort, as I see it, it's just another Pay-to-Win game. I expected something like this, but not this early on.

Yeah, everyone can get her... please explain how players with 150-200 ELO can spam uber cards with Ariana without paying for them first.
Pay-to-win, because at roughly tournament level, the viability of decks got for free rapidly dec(k)reases.

Ah yes, I forgot how some people lower their elo on purpose to farm gold.. I know that the devs are working on a solution and this should be fixed with the addon.

Doc isn't pay to win, everyone has the same odds. At best those who pay have more odds of advancing faster, though this can backfire at times. Someone was whining that he paid for a box and didn't get anything he wanted lol ^^ Atm there are two issues for you, said farmers and the fact that the beginning requires some grinding till you get on your feet and get more consistent results. The addon will take care of both so if you dislike the current situation give it a try in 2-3 weeks.

One way of not wasting your time is to just surrender when you are paired with otk. If you surrender on the first turn without making a move, your opponent doesn't gain anything. Just some elo but this comes and goes..

What if I play against 4 Nergals in a row and I farm each match because my deck isn't good against this hero?

I mean lots of high-leveled creatures, Banshees, life-drains and next trollspaming - against Ariana it it risky, but works against traditional spam and mass, weak spells
