That 1st Anniversary summary showed 1.5 million players on DoC....that's alot, wonder if it's true! I was thikning about 50,000 plus....but over a million?

I think It's 1,5 milion people who tried the game.. that does not mean they are active on a dayly basis... The dayly active people would be a much more interesting number.

This is looking nice. I too was considering time of need as a way to cast 4 magic spells when you are a fortune-based hero. Hella expensive but perhaps it won't matter much if you already have the big guns out early with altar of wishes. The skirmishers are a nice touch, having a 4 might requirement would make them a pretty ok target for the altar.

My guess is that you need something that protects from from spell or lock decks. Like path of ancestors and maybe a couple of cosmic realignment/balance.

Yay.. finally I got the two special Academi heroes. (Ammar and Gazel HoTV) so now I have more then 2 options to base my academy deck on.
Won them with a uninteresting, boaring and uninspired Hakeem deck made from Soulreavers, Shadow images, Puppet masters, Earth AoE spells. Curse of the peniten and Arcane crystals.
BtW this deck killed Dhamiria like nothing

Yep.. won with all 6 factions. Haven was the hardest for me.
About milling for Hakeem, I don't have he cards for that co I went control. I actally got my first Void shade from a pack, i got from one of the next two swiss I played after the on with hakeem, and I won that one with Yukiko.

Welcome to the Win-Swiss-with-all-factions Club!
Hardest for me was Haven as well. The heroes' I used for each win were: Random Garant, Cursed-Bound Adar, DA Crag, WC Sandal, Countered Ishuma and Forked Myranda!

so a little chuckle on the side,
i have been playing variations on my sand deck [yes slaving back to sand!!] but have come across quite a few gaydalphons now...
picture this...
after a few turns and board control no SotS, i have got him down to 2 - im on 20 still, flaming begins.... more more top deck blah blah yaddee yadee, then he locks it down....
thrown, inheritence, sand ability, gem, campfire, prison, creature the normal routine -  you know the drill
my turn, sand ability wc placement
some flaming and general swearing...
opponent re-runs lock, thrown, inheritence, prison ability blah blah blah
i activate ability again, and wc out again - SUPER FLAMING - oh well fing done, sandals op ability, go a f yourself... to which i humbly replied...
but you have been using sandalphon and his ability as well??

Hey just a random offtopic question, (I'm new to this game) How do you beat the fleshbane guy in the campaign? I'm sure he's really easy to you people, but I've tried about 10-15 times and haven't succeeded as of yet. He has loads of ghosts and they keep coming 
I'm playing necropolis. Tried it with my stronghold deck too, and still no luck. Anyone that has a tip for a newbie - what am I supposed to do? lol
I know I need magic attackers, but my highest magic attack is at 2 (lesser air elementals) and they have 3 health with Fleshbane, so they usually get removed within 2-4 turns

Hey there This mission is not an easy battle for beginners and was only introduced at the first expansion by which time I had some experience and much better cards. But, a few months ago I briefly played a secondary account with necro and managed it at lvl 3 so it is possible even early on if you play well. I recommend that you first redeem whatever active codes you can find in the sticky guide From there on, I suggest a tanky build with spells. The ghost onslaught that comes at you is pretty much insane so you want to survive as long as possible! Air elementals are very important as you are probably missing archliches, same for earth elementals. And do not overlook spells like ice spikes, geyser and icy weapon. From there on it's up to your cards.

Anyway, you know I just got taken by Cassandra's devotion in Fall Tourny Cass deck...one card changed the whole duel. I was slogging away chipping away at enemy hero, he was down to 4 health...one card....just one card changed it and beat me silly from there. Is it fair? Should DoC have uniques? Aaarghh.
