Wauw you guys are either really good or I am just bad. I have only won with priest so far.

I just cannot get those wins with for example Jade druid..

I just opened a pack and got Sindragosa

I am equally bad, I tried beating him like 10 times before I managed lol. So far I've beaten him only with Jade Druid (that is super easy imho) and Warrior. Maybe try other classes later. Now that I (finally) figured a few tricks against him that helps

It actually took me a day to complete the fights (of course not full 24h mind you, with breaks ;P). I donít remember all decks but I used this:

Druid -> Jade. Obviously. EZ

Priest -> Highlander/NíZoth Deathrattle deck with DK. EZ

Shaman -> My very own homebrew Murloc deck. Quite a few tries until I got the right combination of cards (mainly Everyfin is Awesome + enough Murlocs on board to crush him).

Warrior -> netdeck. An Enrage/Patron deck. Needed a few tries.

Warlock -> Reno Handlock. Iíve imported one of my older decks. Needed a few tries (was close a few times, but he managed to topdeck some answers), but finally got the right cards. MalíGanis is super effective as he helps you defend against his final hero power.

Paladin -> hard one, before I netdecked sth with Doomsayers (even if he kills them, those go right back to his side of the board , great for turn 7), and heavy healing. You need to look in the net, there are a lot of variants for this, with Uther DKís even.

Rouge -> I belive it was a Murloc deck.

Mage -> probably was the trickiest one. Iíve beat him with Secret Mage (first turn Lackey + Counterspell combo), but my standard deck does not have enough firepower so I needed to modify it. Hence a lot of tries.

Hunter -> netdecked a deck that that relies heavy on RNG. You need to get Alleycat + Hyena in opening hand and try to destroy him with the snowballing effect. Flappy Bird also helps as he can also 'grow' quite quick. Basically you need to buff Hyena by killing off your beasts + use Razorclaw (Windfury for extra dmg or spell shield to help Hyena survive etc) and finish LK before turn 7. Ofc there are a lot of variables (no Blizzard, no Obliterate etc, no Belcher on hand etc).

Murloc decks are usually good for LK but you need to finish him before turn 7 in most cases. And for that you need to draw Warleaders.

Thereís also this KelíThuzad + Shieldbearer exploit. You need to have him down to only one of those ghost guys on board and put up those two minions in the same turn. AI wonít do anything. You can then play a buffed minion like Scaled Nightmare, wait a few turns until it has like 64 ATK, kill off the ghost guy and OTK himÖ

I'm glad I crafted Druid DK. Not because of the current Jade craze but simply because it's such a versatile card. It can be played for various reasons (90% of the time you can't go wrong with playing it) and as it was mentioned before: 7 mana is not a 'crowded' slot for Druid.

Because I have no idea what to craft next from KotFT I guess I'll go for Lyra the Sunshard which is still strong in Priest.

Maybe it's too early to say this, but I will nevertheless.

I think KotFT is a mediocre expansion. Not the weakest, but not impressive either. I'm already getting bored with it, and I play casually... to compare, most of the decks I play nowadays are actually tweaked decks from Un'Goro. For instance I still enjoy Quest Hunter, even though the deck was never popular. But it's so fun to play (fun fact: Keleseth is perfect for it ). I have no such decks in KotFT.

What are the biggest problems with this expansion imo:
- DK's are cool, but actually something that you add to a deck, not build around it. Crafting them is not enough to justify building something completly different and unique that will give you a new expierience. For now I would rather craft some missing Legendaries from past expansions like Lyra, Y'Shaarj or Finja.
- Incredibly weak Epics. I already mentioned this, but most of the Epics in the expansion are seriously crappy. I made like 3-4 and can't find anything that's worth crafting anymore. I'm especially salty here as I think Epics are cards that have a potential to make decks around them (despite the fact that Team 5 usually made like 50% useful in an expansion, with only Un'Goro being over-the-top here). Again I'll probably go back to Un'Goro. I still miss that Dinomancy and I want to make a Beast deck.
- Unhealthy meta. We already see dominating decks with the obvious Druid variants coming through every window. Those decks even initiated the 'quickest ever' response from Blizzard (only 1 month wowzee!).

But let's face it. KotFT biggest issue is that it came after the incredible Un'Goro expansion.

EDIT: NERFS!!!

My two cents:
Innervate - actually a good nerf? Card might still see play while it's OP ramp effect that is sometimes really hard to counter will be tamed.
Winaxe - a very bold change. It will make a staple card into unplayable I think. Weapons with this characteristics were never played. I know Pirate Warrior is still an issue, but I think this will be a very hard hit for Warrior overall. We'll see...
Hex - I think this is a good change. It's basically a Polymorph now, and Poly is still played.
Spreading Plague - is this the biggest reason Druid is so strong atm? I doubt it. Still, if statistics show this is the most problematic card I guess this is the right call.
Warleader - most unexpected change. I'm not quite sure this was needed. Sure it is a really strong card plus Murlocs are once again quite popular, but I think this will be a too big of a hit to Murloc decks. Boardclears are they're main weakness, and this will only make them that more effective. On the other hand still keeps their ATK strong and that's the most important thing. Honestly, I don't know.

Except in every class that has access to such a weapon other than rogue. As in Paladin (even cut truesilver for it) and hunter.

Yeah I like the nerfs in general, eventhough the shaman one seems quite strange. It's more of pre-emptive thing than anything else so ok... but snowing hell i hate that waraxe nerf.
I am admittingly biased since warrior has been my favourite class since i started playing and i realize fiery waraxe has always been the best card in hearthstone or at the very least top 3 since it existed in every format forever but still.
Fiery Waraxe was what made warrior warrior and allowed the control archetype in warrior to exist in the first place. And warrior turn 2 in non-aggro decks is notoriously snow other than playing waraxe. God damn I hate that nerf.

Argh again, bad wording. 'Were never played' as in 'this wouldn't be played' actually. What I meant is that every other Class 3 Mana weapon at least has an additional effect whereas a weapon like nerfed War Axe wouldn't be played in them. The closest to the nerfed War Axe is the one that Deadly Fork spawns. Although Deadly Fork was played in a few decks the Weapon itself was always considered as bad I think...

That said I didn't know you liked Warrior so much. But yeah I get you, this being nerfed in response to Pirate Warrior still being popular is not only a 'bad medicine' (I seriously doubt it will stop PW), but is actually a direct hit into a class that struggles a bit now. This nerf was called for since way back, but I simply can't tell if this a step in the right direction (my guess is that it's not), cus at the same time I also recall how many times I said to myself "man this card is irritating"...

Yes of course it's irratating, it'S a snowing awesome card.
Fireball is annoying, backstab is annoying, hex is annoying, wild growth is annoying, frostbolt is annoying, i can go on point is there are a lot of great classic cards that are "annoying" cause they're amazing.

Blizzard doesn't like the fact that classic cards make up big parts of all standard decks in the meta and I understand that they want to change that so hearthstone is "fresh" but can you snowing think about a nerf a bit more indepth? Fiery waraxe is core to the warrior identity, warrior is supposed to have good vanila weapons and armor gain. Warrior has no more significant armor gain and now a snowing atrocious excuse for a 3 mana weapon.

Also I wasn't kidding when I said that fiery waraxe made control warrior possible in the first snowing place. If they wanted to target pirate warrior (which is ridicolous the deck isn't nearly as oppresive as jade-druide and is extremely fair) why not make it "battlecry: can only attack minions" or do the zombie chow thing of "give your opponent 5 armor" a million other ways of handling that instead of snowing gutting the card.
So it was an excellent card. So snowing what?!?!?! It was a class card and there are PLENTY of good class cards. But noooo Fiery Waraxe gets snowed because the halfbrains at blizzard can't come up with a thought on how to change it without snowting on tempo or control archetypes. God snowing damnit that is the dumbest snow.

And yeah I love warrior, once i started laddering Control Warrior was the first deck built (I played arena infinitely till that point it's how i got all the dust/packs for "wallet warrior") so the class especially the control variant is near and dear to my heart. This is frankly horsesh*t.

Might not even ladder this season, just do quest cause frankly this is depressing. Jade is running amok and they nerf the 3 decks that keep it in check a little bit. This is like back when they nerfed shaman and ended up breaking the legs of its competition and shaman became unstoppable.

Yeah, they shouldn't nerf cards just because 'we see them too much in every deck'. What is wrong with a Frostbolt in every Mage deck for instance? They would rather see players put in their alternative RNG s*it like Flamecannon (cards that you have to 'work around' to actually get sth from them)? Nerf 'hammers' are subjects of memes more then anything and don't make a healthier game. What makes a healthier game are common step-by-step tweaks to the balance like Gwent devs do.

There are times I can agree with some voices that Blizzard simply won't buff a card (also counting if it was nerfed and turns to s*it) cus 'a card was already sold'. I know it's their right, a game is a product that must earn it's keep , but it's ridiculous how they handle it. Players cry for a nerf to a dominating Class and they hit the game with some serious changes to all other classes cause they want to show "oh look how we listen to your voices!". And in such an unrefined way... and worse thing is, in the future we will probably see a 'new and fresh' card like Icy War Axe that will most likely be a clone of the pre-axed War Axe.

Like our good friend Lich King would say "how did this get pass QA?".

I'm sad for you Abaddon, it seems you're loosing interest in the game like I do. I said some time ago that if KotFT turns out to be boring I might quit Hearthstone. It's still too hard for me to drop all the time I invested in this game, but I'm dissatisfied with how quick this expansion turned into sth I semi-enjoy to say the least.

Nerfs! yay!

Sadly they nerfed more cards then needed atm? Are they setting up for next expansion already?

It is funny. I feel like they are nerfing balanced cards. War axe and hex are balanced imo.
Warleader - Is murloc decks that bad? I do not see them at my rank?

Innervate is a good change though. I had thought of something similar.
Spreading plague.. Sure.. why not?

-- Now on the KotfT.

Not a bad expansion, but you are so ever right, Blob. It came RIGHT after Un'Goro. The perfect expansion.

I just have to do this:
From best to worst
1. Un'Goro
2. Old Gods
3. KotfT
4. GvG
5. Mean Streets
6. TgT

I find this expansion boring already. I only play evolve shaman.. sometimes paladin. I do my quest, I open my pack, I close the game.

There are 3 dominating decks atm, and they are Jade Druid, Pirate Warrior and Murlock Paladin. So the nerfs do totally hit classes that it should. And Shaman lol. Maybe it is a lil kick because Shamans dominated the meta so long, dunno.

Innervate is the best change imo, the most needed one. Spreading Plague seems still pretty strong, but I like cards like that. They do MORE when you are behind. Sort of "catch up mechanisms". Spreading Plague is the best card at this and it is annoying Druid got it. That is part of the reason Jade is so good, it can defeat aggro. And Jade was always good against Control. Aka the perfect deck...

Murlock Paladin has openings that just spiral completely out of control. Lethal by turn 4, wow, great game... Murlock Warleader wasn't the real problem imho (although I understand the difficulties the +HP buff brings with weird interactions) it is that Paladin has so many 1 and 2 drops that are Murlocks, who already buff each other, and then comes Warleader and then comes Megasaur... ouchh. Why do they keep making 1 drops with 3 HP????? At least there is a turn 2 Waraxe to stop them from overrunning you.. ohh wait..

Yes I kinda also get the Winaxe nerf because it is called a Winaxe for a reason. But Fireball is equally good and Mage specific. It lets us know that hey Mages excell at burn. Warriors are supposed to wield the best weapons.. and now wow even Rogue has better weapons lol. I disagree with the nerf in other words.

Hex came out of the blue, and I don't know what to say about it. But it is a hard removal, can remove a 10 mana minion with 3 mana. Huge tempo gain. So I think it will see play even at 4 mana.

Turns out Keleseth is not that bad.

I'm currently playing him in Quest Hunter (a deck which naturally does not use too many 2-drops) or a niche Rouge deck that is based on Elementals. Rouge is a natural place for him cause he can be Shadowstep-ed (and played on the same early turn ) or Shadowcaster-ed. I even had an opponent concede after seeing this

He has one serious issue though: it's really hard to pull him in opening hand and basically that's when he shines the most... also he's effect should work on your hand too imo (y no Mistcaller effect?).

Talking about the meta, Brode has given some Q&A that really left me with an impression that they either don't know what their doing or they're treating players like idiots (in opposite to what he stated ). This won't give them much good in the long run, they might seriously start to loose players really soon, rivals do not sleep...

Since she was also one of the few legendaries I opend I was looking for decks where i could fit her in aswell, what I found was this:

And I had a lot of fun with it. The idea is that you curve out and super efficiently remove enemy threats. If you ever fall behind you can catch up with shadowcastering vilespines, bonemares or really any of your strong battlecry/combo minions.
Lili (who is a she btw) serves the purpose of refilling your hand with more powerful cards once you're sitting there on petals and coins and whatever spells you've "stolen" during the game. I played it to rank 5 last season and had a lot of fun with it.

Went 36-14 over 50 games (Not sure where I started I think it was between rank 15-13) which is a 72% win ratio if my math didn't fail me so it's certainly powerful.

But since you're very new to the game I doubt you'll be able to craft the list, since all those epics aren't really replaceable.

These were my notes for the climb, if you want to get an idea of how certain matchups were, please disregard my personal comments lol

For a homebrew the deck is actually decent. I think it strikes a good balance between completing the quest as fast as possible with enough 1-drops (usually I'm able to pull it off turn 5-6) and have something for late game. The key for winning is playing Thundra Rhino at the right moment to swarm opponent with Raptors. Tracking helps you draw 1-drops or Thundra Rhino. Cult Master and Starving Buzzard are here for the draw, but those can be substituted easily. The deck still has room for improvement but I like where it is atm. Nevertheless I think I should tweak it some more as aside from adding Kelesth I didn't change it that much these past months. Speaking of Kelseth if you don't have him you can easily put in Crackling Razormaw (which I needed to discard as a 2-drop) as it works perfectly with things like Carnassa or Rhino.

Belive me when I say that I won more games then I would assume with this deck.

@Abaddon: cool idea with Lilian Voss. Transforming cheap tokens/spells into stronger spells is ingenious. What a way to use her (and people said she's useless)! Rouge is an interesting Class as it has many tricks/mechanics that can be coupled with some cards for outstanding effects. Like Milling your opponent with Rouge DK Hero power + Shadowblade (Immune saves you from damage) etc. I recently got Spectral Pillager in a pack so I will try to utilize it.

Thanks, I've had lots of fun with the deck today. Have kept tweaking it a bit, for example I can't win vs Living Mana without Fire Traps, so I have added them. Buzzard is both good and yet so bad. So turn 6 you can play Buzzard + 2 kittens. And you get 5/4 stats and draw 2. That is decent but decent doesn't cut it when my opponent plays Doppelganger + Evolve for 18/20 stats lol for the same mana. Hunter is truly the weakest atm but still when I get the Queen out and it starts rolling it is a lot of fun

Never thought I would live the day when I get 3 Legendaries in a pack. But, well, here it is:

Obviously I'm most satisfied with Dust Devil

Erhm... The Black Knight which is one of those useful 'returning' cards. Mukla is basically a 'free' Legendary of my choice as I don't see a use for him aside from a Mill/Miracle deck maybe. Milhouse is, well, Milhouse...

@Minion glad to hear your enjoying the deck. I don't run traps currently as they cost 2 mana, but before I had one Freeze Trap which saved me a few times by buying time. From my expierience the deck can be tweaked as long as you keep close to the current amount of 1-drops. Anymore or any less makes the deck inconsistent. It won't ever reach competetive level, but it must e ne of the most fun decks I've ever tried...
