Manfred's specialty description speaks of "Firebal" instead of "Fireball"
(Xarfax, who also has fireball specialty, has a correct description)

I noticed that when right-clicking on Satyrs in map editor (both in map and menu) they're named as Haspids instead of Satyrs.

When refugee camp offers Sea Dogs, there's no question mark in the sentence. Pirates and corsairs doesn't have this issue.






Also, all other dwellings have the question in one line, but in Estate, the word "Vampires" is pushed to the next line. And for that reason, you cannot see the amount of available vampires.

just compared the spell probabilities of Cove to those of other towns.

By doing so, I noticed that the chances published on forum.df2.ru (list of HotA changes) don't sum to 100% for lvl 2 and 3 spells because Prot. from Air is erroneously treated like a lvl 3 spell, although it is lvl 2.

don't know if the published numbers are wrong or if error also is in the game (I did not extract probilities from HotA game files to check that).
(Interestingly, also Age of Heroes has the same error)

question for the HotA team: is the sea serpent supposed to have eyes? because in the twcport frame, it does, but in the actual battle def, it doesn't. forgive me if this question has been answered before, I don't have time to search for answers.

anyway, an inquiring mind wants to know; since I added it to my creature lineup. nice work, btw.

If you hover the cursor over red and blue portals (these smaller ones) you can see that their descriptions are swapped. The blue portal is described as the red one, and the other way round .

The Medusa's (Medusa Queen is fine) shadow flickers during battle. Look at it carefully! I reported this bug very long time ago.

In 2nd scenario of new campaign (Heart of Water), Kreegans are spelled krigans (or something like that) in timed events.

It was always this way, but it doesn't mean it was correct Elementalist with visible flag on screen is active. When you will activate the hero with a hidden flag, his flag will show again, just like above the hero to the right. I think it would look better with transparency (which interestingly works, when heroes are facing right):



Another small bug: When Great Minotaurs are breathing, their shadow is jumping up and down.



It's more visible in-game, though;P

Hi, I noticed an issue today with the videos that play as the prologue/epilogue to Scenarios. The videos in the campaign I was playing were being replaced by the HotA campaign videos. Investigating I noticed that many videos in the HotA.vid archive have the same names as those in the main VIDEO.VID archive (SECRETA.smk, good1a.smk, etc). So it would seem the issue is the game is checking the HotA video archive first, and playing those ones instead of the ones from the primary video archive. Similarly to how placing .pcx images in the Data folder can override Hero portraits if they have the same name.

A simple fix would be to change the names of the HotA videos so they do not conflict with the ones in VIDEO.VID. I considered doing it myself but wasn't sure if it might mess up any future updates.

I'm blown away by the quality of HotA, this is one of the highest quality mods I've ever seen for a game.

Edit: Rather than have to clear anything up in another post:
HotA Version: 1.42
OS: Debian 64-bit (Running game via WINE).

This gold mine is owned by tan player in first or second map of first HOTA campaign. Maybe I am missing something but I think it should have a tan flag that I can't see

I've found another little glitches. Medusa has jumping shadow near to the left of her down part of the body, even if it's not moving at all:

the borders around the buttons when you load or create a new game... they change the background around too like an old *.gif overlay.

I have noticed some small things regarding the RMG:

- it places too many level 1 spell scrolls
Like, at least half of the minor artifacts are spell scrolls. Combine it with the amount of Seers, you tend to end up with less Minor than Major artifacts.

- Difference between Creature Strenght 'Normal' and 'hard' is too extreme. On Normal you find a low Level 1 Stack guarding an advanced mine. I seriously thought I had selected 'weak' instead of 'normal', when I was playing

Dear HotA team (I hope some of you still read this thread),

I want to ask if it's possible to change the limit on basic statistics? It is very uncomfortable especially on Giant maps. For example after you get more than 99 in Power and visit some place that give you + in this skill you will find that now you have 0 or 1.

Below example (on giant map)


and I visit Library, after that I have:


It looks like there is some limit of basic skill value and after that is start counting from 0 again.

Is it possible to fix it (to make this limit value bigger)?
