The poor little buggers never stood a chance. The one that Feather had wounded gave a pathetic "Eep!" before literally exploding from the force of her punch. Poor old Aeon.

Den nodded at the plan, ducking out just long enough to send out another blast of destructive energies before hopping back into cover, none the worse for wear. The outsiders, however... Well, both of them caught in the line of the blast leave nothing behind as the scar of anti-whatever Den's breath is made of rips over them and eradicates their corporeal form. The dragon sighs after that, seeming to have been a bit tired from the release of energies this time.

The remaining Aeons are a small bunch now, and the big one seemed to almost give a bored sigh. Gesturing again to the little ones to keep up the advance, and gesturing particularly at Ciaran, since she is the one that has done the most damage so far, the big creature shifts as if preparing to move in itself.

The little aeons obey the command, the closest one moving in and striking the raging barbarian with a solid, but rather wimpy, hit and chirring in surprise as the electricity from its assault seems to just vanish.

Nathanial stepped right to dispatch the closest Paracletus menacing his companions, destroying it with a regretful swing of his sword.

"The fight is going as Grumbar has foreseen it. Dragon Den, keep that up a little longer and get rid of the last orb. The rest of you, converge on the leader. I will mark him for you, hold nothing back."

Vorbrin concentrated on his bow for a moment and it began glowing red in the presence of the enemy. He took aim at the leader Aeon in front of him and let his arrow fly.

With Vorbrin suggestion to go after the leader, Feather stepped up, ready to follow such a suggestion. Especially since the other creature was well away from her. The leader wasn't in the best of positions either, but it was close enough, she figured. Calling her enchanted starknife back, she started throwing weapons at the leader.

As Feather began to move, so did the large leader of the outsiders. Vorbrin's arrow manages to land a hit in the swirling vortex, barely seeming to even slow the creature down when it reaches Nathaniel and begins to swipe at him. The paladin's armor manages to deflect about half of the incoming attacks, but two of them manage to land solid hits, and one of the creature's hands grabs onto his arm and holds him in place.

Feather's weapons fly free... but only the first dart seems to score any damage on the creature, flying through the swirling vortex that would make up its core. Not only that, but a few of the stars that had gone dim in the large Aeon's center lit up again, as if the wound the dwarven inquisitor had inflicted was already rapidly healing...

The blob had moved closer. Big mistake, it was about to be introduced to a world of pain. She grit her teeth, spread her feet and gave the blob a good one-two-three. The first hit brutally connected, the second hit struck like a thunder strike and the last hit wiffed, menacing a whole bunch of air.

((5-foot step, rage flurry on the big creature. I roll a 29, a 34 and a 16. The first two connect, because alkar connects with a 24 the two blows that hit deal 16 and 18 damage for a total of 34 damage.))

Den seemed to consider Vorbrin's suggestion for all of a second before deciding that its breath had not recovered quite yet... however, he also seemed to decide that there was no more need to hide behind the party, and made his way around Vorbrin, lunging at the star creature's arm with his claws and teeth. All three of his attacks strike true... but in return, the Aeon had enough time to strike back, and one of the creature's open hands strikes the dragon across the face.

Seeing that the target was now open, the littlest Aeon ran straight at Den, swung with all of its tiny, levitating body... and then hit the ground. Worthless. The dragon would have chuckled if he wasn't technically surrounded.

Meanwhile as he is held, Nathaniel can feel an energy calling through the creature's hand that tugged violently at his spirit, trying to drag it from his mortal body kicking and screaming...

((Fort save, Kareeah, DC 15. Otherwise, you'll lose 10 HP, 2 BAB, 2 of your save bonus and 2 levels (That last bit is the important part, all of the other losses just come from losing 2 levels). Also, you are still grappled, so while you can full attack, you can't really use your greatsword...))

The monster hissed as the arrow found its mark, a few more of the pricks of light making up its body dimming and its body just generally seeming to become worn away. The creature's grip on Nathaniel loosened a bit, giving the paladin an opening to slip away or launch his own counter attack... if he noticed it.

((Basically, you have the option of taking a 5' step and escaping the grapple at the cost of your standard action, or you can make a full attack. Your choice, Kareeah))

Nathaniel's blade strikes true once, and with that the creature let go and focused instead on its primary target, the abberation of reality that has started this whole thing. Swinging with its claws in a deadly flurry, the Aeon struck the dragon three times across his shadowy form, and latched on to the dragon's maw, clamping down and holding it shut. Den seemed to be unable to squirm away in time, and despite the damage the Aeon's body was taking from the adventurers and Den's destructive body, the Aeon looked to have no intention of letting go...

With the creature switching targets to Den, and looking to be doing a decent job in damaging the dragon, Feather felt it might be best to hurry up and finish off said creature.

The fact that the creature was now in melee with her friends made things a bit more difficult for her. However, it was close enough that she could easily go into melee with it as well. Not her most ideal choice of styles, but doable. Stepping up with two starknives in hand, one in the blink of an eye, and the other one even faster than that, Feather started stabbing at the thing.

The large monster is staggered by Ciaran's assault, taking half of a stumbling shift back. Almost every star in the nebula had gone dark, and the vortex in its core seemed to be barely held together, no longer swirling. The creature barely managed to ward off Den's attack when the dragon lashed out at both Aeons... the little one was a bit less fortunate. With a snap of his jaws, the dragon ended the last of the floating orbs, leaving the final Aeon alone, wounded and almost dead...

((And now it's Nathaniel's turn.))

Nathaniel's blow catches the last beast full in the chest, causing the monster's vortex and starts to go out, and then scatter. With a deep sigh, the last aeon was destroyed, leaving only its arms and legs ad evidence that it had even existed in the first place, and even those began to melt into the stone below their feet, being reabsorbed by the multiverse to be recycled into... whatever outsiders were turned into.

With everything finished, Den sat down with a long, drawn out sigh. The black dragon raised a paw to rub at the zone where he had been struck, almost as if brushing the attack away, and then he looked to the party, specifically Ciaran."Are you alright there, little human?" The dragon asked, just the faintest note of concern in his voice. "You seem to be a bit winded. Paladin, you can fix that, yes?"

((Aaaand end combat. Also, no experience for you. Level ups will come at milestones. This was not one. ))

Feather put her two weapons away, and started out in search of those that she had thrown out into the battle. It wasn't too difficult locating the majority of the items, but the darts were sometimes very elusive, or just downright destroyed. This so happened to be the case. One was found, and in good condition, so back it went into her arsenal. With her dart supply taking a hit, Feather began to wonder.

"Hey, Den, is there somewhere that we, or I, could restock on weapons where we're heading?"

Waiting for a reply, Feather scans the area around for any more possible threat, or anything else of interest.

The dragon nodded his head, almost as if the paladin shouldn't have even had to ask. "Yes, any healing would be more appreciated." Den sighed, before turning his head to indicate that his featureless face was looking at Feather. "No, not on this world. You should conserve what you have, or learn to make more on the road." He said, as if that wold be common knowledge.

The cave itself was still just as black-and-white as it had been before, with nothing that would really catch the eye of anyone who cared about minerals... but Feather would notice that the back of her hand glowed for a second, and that the map, for just a moment, told her, "Do not trust the dragon..." Before fading back into the map it had been before, the three portals pinging slowly.
